  1. Hoping it's filmed. Fully expecting a very boring process of people relatively known as your standard average Livi fan being appointed to the board, only for Hogarth/Rankine to burst through the doors holding a briefcase for some WWE Money in the Bank style drama. Two mysterious men remove their glasses and fake moustaches; it's John Ward and David Martindale. A real fight for control of the club.
  2. Obileye was a good stand in CB to cover for injuries, solid enough if you need someone to come in alongside an experienced player. There's no reality where he should end up being your best and most important CB though, and for me shows just how poor the recruitment was particularly last summer. Of the other out of contract players I'd probably only actively try to keep Shinnie. Montano would be good to keep but he's been very injury prone and it's probably getting to the point where we can't afford to keep him contracted if we're only going to get half a season out of him. Jack Hamilton has probably done enough to earn a deal if we end up seeing Shamal out the door but I don't think there's a need for both of them (assuming there's another keeper out there we could bring in as back up, even if it's just a loan). Boyes should never have been sent out on loan and seems to have been doing well at ICT, albeit at the wrong end of the table, but get the feeling he isn't on the Martindale favourite list. Mikey Devlin, Michael Nottingham, Sean Kelly, and Kurtis Guthrie can all get as far away as possible please. If Devlin's managed to trigger an extension then I'd hope it's only as a backup. With the players you've got left, I'd be surprised if Shamal George didn't have a relegation release clause, and even if not I'd expect him to be trying to get a move elsewhere anyway. Same will probably go for a couple others.
  3. I see Hearts aren't extending McGovern's contract. Can't blame them. Gave me the fear that we'd take him on though, and our tweet starting with 'McGovern returns' just made it worse. Luckily it's that the loan is terminated and he's away back to Hearts. I'll still be worrying about us signing him until he announces his retirement or goes somewhere else.
  4. Wasn't sure about Ward, always assumed he was but think I remember him having a moan about them on Twitter as well (which wouldn't disqualify him anyway of course). Would make even more sense in that case.
  5. Isn't John McIlvogue a Celtic fan? Sunday was the first game against the bigots I've been to in a few years so not sure if that was anything much different than their usual "displays", but would make sense if he's had a say in it being allowed. Even before him though the board have just been happy to take the money from them - even the announcement that only ST holders would be able to buy tickets in the home stand was a bit more of a tantrum than an acknowledgement/apology for fans being annoyed by it.
  6. Anderson has always been Martindale's go-to excuse as well, "Wee Brucey has to do better wi that" Think Martindale just doesn't rate/like him, especially after he turned down the move to the Georgian(?) team.
  7. Aye, if it was a generic thread asking how people felt about minutes silence/applause then fair enough. To jump straight onto a thread where the issue is about a specific young person in that way was just cunty behaviour.
  8. What am I denying? It's what I'm actively trying to find out. Straight answer please and none of the shitebaggery.
  9. Believe Dundee is under Airdrie at the top right Edit: beaten to it My best guess for Queens is right in the middle of the top row, based on the sponsor and the stripe on the collar:
  10. Is that Rangers fans scrambling back 6 years to find something that, erm, isn't the same? What a tragic lot
  11. Livingston at the top Teams with Livingston players on loan I want to do well Don't care about most of the others The bigots below the bottom
  12. Honestly no idea what Martindale was thinking with that, tactics all over the place and only he knows what the plan was with that starting 11 and those dreadful subs Sorry, habit
  13. 30 seconds left and I'm still expecting them to score 2 more
  14. What's with the light show? It's a fucking friendly ffs. Are we just that big time now?
  15. Even then there's cases where it's down to interpretation of whether or not someone is interfering with play.
  16. Hogwarts-style points handed out taken away at the end of the season live on Sky Sports news is going to be great fun. Everton and Nottingham Forest finishing in the bottom 3 anxiously waiting their final totals, and the big twist being Man City and Chelsea both docked enough to drop them out the league.
  17. From the good ol' BBC Gossip page Dundee are due to play Motherwell on 6 April which would be one day less rest, but that's not important. Probably more for the tin pot thread if the SPFL are actually taking into consideration when the bigot derby is.
  18. I don't even know what you mean with those first two lines, it's the opposite that's happening. Those teams should be allowed to have plastic pitches if they want them, their ambitions of rising up through the leagues shouldn't be negatively impacted by the top flight tories. If the vote took place tomorrow, Livingston would have a say despite being in the Championship next season and so would Motherwell, Aberdeen, St Johnstone, and Ross County who are still in that fight, whereas Dundee United, Raith Rovers, Partick Thistle, Airdrie, Morton, Dunfermline, Ayr, and Queens Park (all either in the top 4 or within 6 points of it) wouldn't have a vote - and you genuinely think that's fine because it "is for one league only"? Ignoring the silly wording that doesn't point out that it affects clubs who want to aim to be in that league. Should the vote occur at the end of every single season so the new team(s) in the top flight can have their say? Presumably we'll just vote on which teams are allowed to get promoted instead.
  19. Very good point, it's not like anyone outside the top flight will ever play in it in the future. What would they even call that, "promotion" or something? I'd be surprised/think you were trolling if you weren't a Rangers fan tbf, logic out the window.
  20. Even if we got that string of very unlikely results - and Ross County lost to Aberdeen, Kilmarnock, and Rangers - that's still a 4 point gap going into the split. Of course, off the back of a (hypothetical) run of form like that we'd have our tails up and be looking at beating County (which you'd think would be at home) and then picking up 2 points more than them from the remaining games, or just the 1 if we get a 10 goal swing to beat them on GD. I love getting carried away but even I'm not going to let my vulnerable little mind entertain the thought of us doing it. To answer the question though, I think even if we were to stay up it would be despite him rather than thanks to him. Stubbornly sticking to tactics that clearly weren't working, his supposed* shouting back at fans, throwing players under the bus in interviews (doesn't make it any better because you use the words "I take responsibility"), the amount of players he falls out with, none of it really points towards a manager who will be universally loved by the fans. If we get 11 points between now and the end of the season, never mind 11 points MORE than Ross County, I'll be pleasantly surprised. If he masterminds a comeback that then also sees us get through a playoff final, it would be the perfect "high" for him to sign off on. I don't think there's a realistic route for him to get back to the hero he was a couple years back. *I sit in C2 so haven't witnessed any of this, just based on what people have said on here/Twitter/Facebook.
