There sure is a lot of room for improvement. Chance after chance missed in the first half then we go one down to poor defending. We equalise before halftime. Then settled back down to watch us win the game in the second half, what a disappointment that was.  Gala went back in front but Zander scored what as you said was a mystery penalty.
Our back four was posted missing several times in the last 20 minutes and only some desperate defending kept us from a defeat. Of course we created several chances but we do not have the killer touch when they arrive.

To be honest there looks no shape to the back four and the midfield don’t seem to be a unit.

Over to you Max, you’ve got a big job on.

Flabbergasted by the negativity at this post !
the back four are all new players, these need time and games with the covid probs re preseason, players who haven’t played for over 6 months, missing a couple of really good looking signings due to injury.
We played some really good stuff and should have been goals up in first half, hardly a big job on his hands !

I think the so called big Bo'ness team are scared they get shown up on how to run and develop a team.

They seem to have “run a team” for many a year and you talk about develop, well if they weren’t doing that they wouldn’t be a league and class above you lot! Maybe you should look inside your own ground about how to run a club !

I have said for years that the BUJFC will eventually swallow up BUFC.

They are well run and ambitious and that's qualities that would only be beneficial in the long term. Add in their committee are young and have longevity on their side - a quality often lacking in clubs.

I suppose you just wish you were on the same level as Boness, but hey ho you can keep trying ! Don’t give up

Wasnt there so don’t know the detail of any commitments that were made. But surely you recognise that the football landscape has changed. Junior football is no longer an option. At least 2 amateur clubs already exist in Bo’ness.

What if the amateurs, Cadora wanted to go to EOS and applied to the league?  BU has no veto. The landlords of the stadium are the only ones with any say.

I very much doubt there has been any financial impact to BU with BUJFC in the town. Likely this will continue if they were to step into EOS.

Well I was there and it was very much brought to life as a pathway to senior football, comments like and agreed with by the lad there was that they were very much considered a feeder team to the seniors and obviously vice versa the other way around. I’m also led to believe anytime that the seniors has asked for players they were told categorically no, again rumours and what I have heard when speaking with people within the club.

there would be massive impact on financial, course there would, in a town the size of Boness you couldn’t possibly run in effect two senior clubs, that’s crazy !

As a member of the senior club for many years I was always a bit dubious at the start when I heard in Fisons that night but also seen the benefits for the young lads coming up and also all the teams invovled, but If this is the case I’m sorry I don’t see any benefit at all for the community teams or the senior team at all.
the whole rebranding thing simply says to me thank you don’t need you anymore we are established we are going out own way !
Certainly doesn’t get my vote if this is the case

I know that there was never any intention of BUJFC going to EoS or even going into the pyramid, even if en bloc under ERSJFA. They were set up to bring Junior football back to a staunch Junior town, with many people loving the grade.

Without Junior game dissolving, what to do?

Nothing sneaky or underhand at all. If they wanted to join East of Scotland, they could equally have asked Newtown Park Association to be a tenant as they did in order to go Junior. They’re a customer like any other club. If it’s not another senior or junior Bo’ness club asking, I’m sure an out of town club will be chapping at the door.

I remember sitting in the meeting the club called for members and invited the boy Oliver in to discuss intentions with the club. I remember the question what if Boness wanted to move back to junior and the answer was the junior team would disband or go back amateur, then he was asked what if you got to a situation that you were wanting to go to the EOS league and again they said they we’re only interested in bringing a junior team back to Boness and being a pathway from kids to senior. Talk about rebranding and moving to the EOS League if true and not a rumour is simply a slap in the face to the members of the senior club, and to be brutal about it dishonest. There is no way on this planet a town the size of Boness could sustain two “senior” clubs.
im sure it’s probably only a rumour and has no substance

    £4.99 well spent.

Add in a few dodgy penalties as a 'Brucey' Bonus.

Oh Happy New Year by the way.

It will be so pleasing when you don’t have a team in June when your 14 Loan players go back and ehhh you will still be in the EOS league !
hold on till I look back and see if our shadow is there, ehh yep it is

From what I’m reading it’s all about BU,s having an off day. Let’s give Burntisland some credit here a team two leagues below and what a performance. All credit to BU,s for the result but give the Shippy boys a bit of credit too

Ermmmmm is it not a Boness thread?? Lol of course they are going to talk about boness ?!?!

So who were the young boys shown at the end of footage on park

It’s a Wednesday night and could have been players kids if childcare was an issue. Also echoed elsewhere you seem to be very vocal at knocking the club on several occasions I’ve seen for being a BU fan.

You'll need to face EK without the support of your army of stewards.  😉

There wouldn’t be a game without those army of stewards as you call them, who takes temperatures, streaming games, covid rules implementing  and does other things required to get a game on, and make sure other things during a game  to make sure it stays on. I’m sure every club needs an army of stewards aka committee members who give up their time to make sure it does go on. Again not just Boness related but maybe you should be thanking them rather than having a go!

I was with Oakley United for a few years, tried to give my time and my support for the club. Loved it. great bunch of guys. hard working, did everything for the team, for the club.

My son moved to Kelty Hearts - I followed him. There for nearly 8 years. To say that the crazzee bunch of committee dudes were hard working, single minded for the club, sweat blood for the club ... is nowhere near the real effort, time and love they have and give for KHFC.  truly amazing.

To say it was fantastic there, loved every minute.. heart and soul for the club .. understatement. some of the best years of my life ... I think my son's also.

He moved to Bo'ness United last season .. I followed him.

The committee .. exactly the same as Oakley and Kelty... hard working, give their time and effort to the club. simply put: they love their club.

For me? probably the honesty of the three clubs that makes me feel a part of them. Yes, and my son being part of the setup is a major.

Do I feel a genuine affiliation for Bo'ness, yes. most definitely ...and for the above reasons.

I am a very pedantic and, hopefully all that know me agrees, truthful person.

I cannot "support" a team part time. Hope they do "ok" enjoy the wins but slide away from the losses.  This is not me.

I need to feel I am part of the club. How can I help them? I love speaking with the players, attempting to encourage and , if possible, maybe give them some help, a wee tip or trick. For they are the heart and soul of the club.

I support Bo'ness United because of who they are, how they go about there business, the committee, the defo mental and very knowledgeable fans..... and because my son plays for them.

To specifically answer your question: I KNOW Kelty Hearts will win the league this year. They are too strong, too much pace, experience and quality throughout the team not to.  My thoughts are with them.

Have I forgotten all my time at KHFC ... if you know who I am, then ask my fellow members of the Kelty Hearts Ultras, who indecently, sponsor my son. Ask them.

To recap: I am unsure if you were asking an honest question or merely mischief making. Either way, I hope my explanation gives you what you were after. I have been as honest as I can.

you have a good evening Darkness.

    Well said Brian !!!

Absolute gem of a guy, very knowledgable about his footie and a great support to the club as is Brian junior !

    Adopted Boness guy now

Hows it brilliant news??  Chances of getting somone to do it asking this way are slim to none.

Online begging for someone to come fill in numerous roles including a social media operator??

Who even uses that term ffs.

No proper professional club in the higher tiers should be asking like this openly it smacks of desperation.

Boness utd playing junior fighting it out for honors out the home ground newton park with local boys will big a decent draw in the town.

The other boness accounts people are creatures of habit and guy charlie has been doing a good job for years they will continue to appeal to many.

I think you seem to forget that all officials at any club at this level are supporters that want to get involved with their local club, and do it voluntary!
How else would you advertise a position that requires done and bettered ???! Any organisation would advertise this way, so desperation is a clueless word.
I think it’s a great idea that would possibly appeal to a person with that skill set and desire to do this that is a local person and would love to get involved

trolling and hidden agendas spring to mind in your last two posts

Sugar daddy? Zander Miller has just been giving a 4 figure signing on fee from your sugar daddy so better come up with a better one than that next time.

£450 worth of tickets bought in the last 30mins by Bo’ness. Someone’s fingers are red raw

Sounds like a bit of jealousy sprouting right out you here. Still hurting max wanted to go to a bigger club I see, and boasting about a virtual cup win wire in, let’s just hope we don’t see you next year !

So refreshing you seem to know everyone else’s business, or guess it I should say.

and everyone knows the Tranent sugar daddy, his fingers must be knackered the day

So you are disregarding fairness and sport for commerce? Why should sponsors get their money back? Why should fans get season ticket money back? They have had the exposure and the entertainment. Yes, they could argue that they are entitled to a pro-rata refund for the games yet to be played but not for the full season.

It'd be tough on some clubs without a doubt but there are too many variables to ensure integrity when trying to decide results based on an arbitrary system that nobody had agreed to and is shown to have flaws.

No system was agreed to for ending the season early prior to the season starting (understandably, it's unprecedented what is going on), therefore any system employed now and voted on now will not be without bias.

All clubs, sponsors, fans, players will need to take a hit here.

Fairness in sport ?? So Boness gets the same outcome as newtongrange for example ?? Or Liverpool gets what Norwich city get? That’s fairness ?!?
why wouldn’t they get money back null and void means exactly that null and void, it never happened ! Sponsors give money to get their business in the limelight for all home games, season ticket holders are due money back, fines need to be given back to clubs from leagues, players need to give goal bonuses back or clean sheet bonuses, your opening up a big can of worms and that’s a legal matter certainly more for pro clubs. Prize money ?!? How do you pay clubs ? Sky sports money ?!? Clubs rely on that, can’t be paid tho because who gets the biggest slice ??
and all clubs are run as business these days so yes you would!
