I was over in April from Canada , my first time in Scotland . My wife and I spent the whole month driving around the country , stopping in to catch the Rovers every weekend . I was not impressed with the language for sure , sporting events in Canada won't tolerate that behaviour . I know it's the "culture " of football - not good . Not sure how you change it . It is a small minority . I met some of the boys from FF . Top men - very nice to me and my wife - unfortunatly the minority paint everyone envolved with the same brush. We can't say enough what a beautiful country Scotland is , the people are amazing - can't wait to get back COYR!!!

The web site contract ( run by Jim Foy ) was to run out soon . The new .net site is cheaper to rent and I believe the site was done by a volunteer so no money ? I do miss the pictures , especially since I live so far away and never get to games . Sure this will improve if we send suggestions to the new crew.

Guys . I'll try to put this in perspective from a Canadian " supporter " view. I live in Edmonton Alberta . We have a team in the NASL ( Not A Soccer League lol) . Anyway , the quality is no where near what you see at Stark's park . For one thing they play on a "american football field - lines and all , with a hard as rock "astro turf - the ball bounces like crazy . They ask 205 pounds for 14 games . Just saying - I would pay 17 pounds to watch Div 1 Scottish football , no way I am paying to see this amount to watch our crap !!!

I understand what your saying about McGlynn . But coaches do run their coarse at every club ( except Man U ) . A different coach may have different connections to other player John doesn't have . Maybe the players need a "different" voice . Great coaches get fired all the time , even if they have been fantastic in the past ( which John has) . Tough decisions by the club may need to be made . Or patience and hope Rovers don't get relegated !!
