I know you mean fitba shirts and cringe of getting a name on just a normal t-shirt would be worse. However, my sisters came over from Scotland last March and presented me with a navy blue t-shirt with a Saltire on the heart and my nickname on the back, with a number 1 on it. I was well chuffed. Then my son walked into the room with the same t-shirt but with 2, then my wee daughter with 3. The nickname is a play on my surname. Brought a tear to my eye. We all wear them proudly, but very rarely at the same time if ever apart from that day.

I hated wearing specs, just a young man and didn't feel comfortable in social environment. There will be people who have known me since I was a teenager who would never know. I have also had my nose straightened. This was when I was about 15. I'd broke it a few years before and I looked a complete thug and was treated that way. Social services help me consult my doctor who referred me. Within 6 month it was all done. Following year, I left school and started a job, I was confident about appearance.

Aye, we have private health too, very expensive and to be honest the care or hospital (where I live) are not much different, In my case worse, as we have a newish hospital built in the town. probably different in the big cities.
