  1. Anyone got any experience of taking a Betis game in at Seville? Am driving up there from Malaga in 3 weeks. Not sure of the lay of the land as regards parking near the stadium. Not sure about getting a ticket on match day as I don't know if the game against Sociadad will sell out. Tickets for game aren't on sale yet anyway.
  2. In 3 weeks, the big Andalusian derby, Malaga v Granada on Saturday, and hopefully Real Betis v Real Sociadad on Sunday. Can't wait.
  3. I'm not for coaching them harder or more, just smarter. We hear this old line coming out from players and managers all the time, "We'll just have to work harder in training".
  4. Was at Swiss 3rd division game at weekend. FC Basel u21 2 v YF Juventus 3. Good game played just across from St Jacobs stadium. The "YF" stands for Young Fellows. The Swiss seem to have a fascination for English titles in their club name.
  5. Just checked and the Betis game date & time is set as 30/9 at 7:45pm. Sorted! Just assumed they wouldn't be out yet, and you kinda jolted me into looking. Cheers my man[emoji6]
  6. Betis v Leganés at end of September, followed by Benfica v Feirense in December. Just booked a Serbian weekend in March next year.
  7. Ujpest v Ferencvaros in March and Stuttgart v Bremen in April. Then a footy weekend in Istanbul May.
  8. Off to Gran Canaria next week and hoping to see Las Palmas v Levante, if the missus gives me the ok. The following week, it's Eintracht Frankfurt v Leverkusen. In with the Leverkusen fans for the grand price of €15.
  9. Just booked flights with Ryanair from Glasgow to Frankfurt. Depart Sat morning of 25th Nov, returning home the following morning. Going to see Eintracht Frankfurt v Bayer Leverkusen. The cost of flights! The grand total of £15.98!!! Get in there fast.
  10. Off to Eintracht Frankfurt v Augsburg in September, and the following day Darmstadt v Armenia Bielefeld.
  11. Frankfurt v Augsburg & Darmstadt v Bielefeld in September, hopefully Valencia v Athletic Bilbao in September, then two Turkish games in November.
  12. Am heading over that weekend as well for two games. Frankfurt on Saturday and trying to get tickets organised for Darmstadt v Bielefeld on Sunday. Does anyone know how I can purchase tickets in advance for Darmstadt? Phoned the club this morning and I can't buy them at the stadium on match day, can't print at home, and can't order on line. I can however buy at Loop5 shopping mall on day of game, but it couldn't be any further away from the stadium. Are you guys travelling over from Glasgow on the Friday night with Ryanair? That's what we're doing, and heading back Monday night.
  13. Heading to Budapest next week to see Falkirk v MTE1905 and later in the day Vasas FC v Beitar of Jerusalem in the Europa League.
  14. Yup, anyone that can do 4 games in a day, defo comes under the title "addicted". Lol.
  15. 1860 played in the regional league back in the 80's, so it's no major deal that they should be back there to those who have watched German football over the years, just the way they went about it. They used to play their home games back in the Grunwalder Strasse stadium then.
  16. Looking to take in Porto v Belenenses next Saturday and Vitoria Guimaraes v Tondela on Sunday.
  17. Was at Freiburg 1 v Hoffenheim 1 at the weekend. Full house at Schwartzwald for the Baden derby. Hoffenheim looked a lot slicker on the ball and had the better of play. All credit to Freiburg for hanging in though. Not the best team to watch, but probably safe for this season. I borrowed someone's season ticket for this one and was in the main stand. Strange situation, as the ticket was for the main concourse at the back of the stand, basically getting in everyone's road. Couldn't see this happening in the UK for health and safety reasons.
  18. Musing over the possibility of taking in an Athletic Bilbao game at the end of the season. All depends on when the game is, as Easyjet fly in/out of Bilbao on a Sunday. Will have to wait until they announce fixture dates later on.
  19. Heading to Bolton v Palace with a few guys for the FA cup in 10 days.
  20. Yup, the train stops off at Bern on the way there and back. We've got the Swiss transfer pass, which allows us to stop off and continue our journey in the one day. You haven't any idea when the Swiss will be announcing the fixtures for the 2nd part of the season. Once that's been done, it'll give us a clearer idea of what game we'll see, and see if my missus will fancy it as well. Didn't realise that Koln had something similar. Mind you, the whole of Germany & Switzerland are awash with local festivals.
  21. Am going to be in Basel for the start of Fasnacht next March, but have a week skiing at Zermatt before that. Checked the fixtures, and Young Boys are at home to Thun, the last week in Feb. Depending on when the fixtures are, I'll try and stop off at Bern on the way to Basel. This'll be my 4th Fasnacht and they always play the Basel games away from home that weekend. Tis a bit of a pain.
  22. Sorry for the late reply. Aye, it was very easy getting tickets. They rarely sell out and we could even print our own tickets straight from their web page. Cracking day away, and if you're looking for cheap but excellent digs, I can recommend a hostel called "The Hat". Bang in the middle of everything.
  23. Have been to Basel a few times and the set up is excellent. Hopefully not too long before I see them again. Love the city as well.
