  1. Pretty embarrassed by the whole steward thing. I was sitting along from the young squad and thought they were excellent, and did their club proud. Don’t know what started the thing with the stewards, can only guess someone was woken up by them, and complained. Just another piece of shit publicity in a club that excels at it. The whole thing was cringeworthy, and as a Falkirk fan would encourage the young team to keep up the great work and follow their team.
  2. Think it’s at La Manga and they’re also playing Ajax Jong as well. Both bounce games.
  3. I must have been sitting about a dozen seats along from you. Third time I’ve seen Palace getting beat 1-0 there, twice to late goals.
  4. Looking to go to the reverse fixture of this game next April with 5 mates. Any idea when fixture dates/times will be announced?
  5. Just back from Japan and managed a J league and J2 league games. Cerezo Osaka 3 v Gamba Osaka 1, and Kashiwa Reysol 2 v Mito Hollyhock 3. Two cracking games with a high technical standard. 36,000 for the Osaka Derby and 9300 for the Reysol game. Reysol are my favourite Japanese club, and was shocked to see them getting beat 3-2 at home, given that they're top of the 2nd div. all Mito goals were superb though. Osaka game was played in blistering heat, whilst Reysol game it was pissing down, and uncovered. Everyone had ponchos on. What I love about the Japanese is that irregardless how the game is going, they back the team up to the hilt. Their equivalent of the Ultras keep going for 90 minutes and everyone wears the club colours. Unlike some of the European Ultras, they're actually decent people who don't have a chip on their shoulders.
  6. Did a football treble there last season. Karlsruhe on Saturday afternoon, jumped on a train and straight to Strasbourg to see them play in the evening. The following day it was lower league stuff to see Schiltigheim play. Strasbourg is a superb city to stay and to watch footy.
  7. It is indeed Rab. Heading down on my own and have my mate dad's season ticket. John MacNeil is meeting up with me, as he has an away ticket with Palace.
  8. September busy. Spurs v Palace in 2 weeks, followed by a couple of Japanese games. Cerezo Osaka v Gamba Osaka then Kashiwa Reysol v Mito Hollyhock in Oct.
  9. Without sounding like a total tool, what country do they play in?
  10. Went to Napoli 3 v Cremonese 3 up at Napoli's pre season training in the Italian Dolomites last week. Beautiful backdrop to the ground, and about 4500 crammed into the small stadium at Dimaro. Napoli have based themselves there for the last 6 years, and have signed up again for a few more. It's a huge business deal for this sleepy wee village. Highlight of the game was the Cremonese equaliser to make it 3-3. The guy launched the ball from about 10 yards inside his own half when he saw the Napoli goals off his line. The goalie scuttled back and managed to tip the ball onto the underside of the crossbar......only for it to rebound, and hit him, and roll over the line. The Cremonese guy must have been spewing, as it went down as an og.[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
  11. Theirs actually 2 of them in Stockholm. AIK play at the Friends arena.
  12. Any contact info for the guy who helped you currahee? Have been to Istanbul, so everywhere else is do-able after that.[emoji38]
  13. Cheers lads. Should have done my homework before I'd posted about it.
  14. Sorry for butting in guys, but have these dates been fixed? I've jumped the gun a bit, and advertised it on European Football Weekends on Facebook. I'd imagine a few of you on here will be familiar with it. Their seems to be a positive response, even before the season has started.
  15. Was it landingpad that you used? They seem to be the ones to go to.
  16. Finally took the plunge, and booked flights to Buenos Aires for next Feb. Looking to get as many games as I can over a 2 weekend period. Has anyone else been, and can they give me any hints or tips. Cheers.
  17. Could be wrong with this, but I think the Danish FA have parity for men and women's game. The first FA to do so. Where is their money generated? More than likely through the men's league.
  18. Any idea what the official crowd size was Rab?
  19. It was a Facebook wind up for all my mates. Had them thinking I'd gotten a ticket. It was as close as I was ever going to get to one.
  20. Are we talking about Rab here? Sorry, missed the first post. If so, yes he was at the game, and I can vouch for it. Got my picture taken with his ticket. Just not quick enough now to run away with it![emoji23][emoji23].
  21. Virgin are showing it for free as well on channel 100.
  22. Their seems to be a trend amongst groundhoppers, in that Buenos Aires is the place to be nowadays. More and more people are booking up to go there. I'm also now looking to visit BA next year to take in some games. With a population of circa 2.8 million people and 55 professional clubs within the city, it's easy to see why it's so popular. The two big questions that are doing the rounds are match tickets, and security. Is their any other hoppers that would fancy going over, or have already been over. I'm looking for practical advice and tips, and if anyone else fancies going, please feel free to post.
  23. Knowing Rab, he probably watches and CONTRIBUTES more to junior, East of Scotland, senior and international football more than you'll ever know. Try not to be so judgemental, it's not nice, especially when you're wrong. That goes for JMDP as well. You ain't no judge of character.
