Dundee United v Sevco 13/12/20
thepundit replied to Granny Danger's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Delighted to get the 3 points. A wonderful Beckham-esque goal from Tav. The whip he got on the strike was sensational. Utd were stuffy and tricky to break down and I feared the worst when they equalised as Rangers weren’t at their free-flowing best after Thursday but a very well taken 2nd goal at a good time to get it put us well on our way. Morelos was lucky to stay on the pitch as his elbow was a red card IMO. He’s dropped deeper these days but his lack of goals is becoming a bit of a concern. Maybe if Defoe had played today we would have had another goal or two.. On to the next one. Still a long way to go. -
Should be an easy win for the away side.

Rangers vs Aberdeen - 22nd November
thepundit replied to The_Kincardine's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Thought Rangers were excellent today. The last 30mins just fizzled out though once Rangers made their subs/rested players otherwise that could easily have been 5 or 6 nil. To be fair to the Dons they had a lot of players missing today. That said, when you do have a lot of players out you need your experienced players to step up. Considine did not do that. He was awful, lol. Looks like we are huge favourites for the league now. Tough run of mainly away fixtures coming up though. I’m not getting excited just yet. -

Posts by Romeo on the Hibs vs Celtic thread - 1 Posts by Romeo on the Rangers vs Aberdeen thread - 9 Understandable I suppose. He’s probably worried about tomorrow’s game and doesn’t want to talk about it. Anyhoo, very confident of a win on Sunday, especially if the Dons go three at the back. Two or three nil. 1-1 at Easter Rd -
Thought Rangers would have been quite flat today given the way the Benfica game ended. Mini-crisis over. Another 2 goals for Tav. Good to see Aribo and Roofe getting a double as well. Defoe will be fuming he never got on the score sheet. Barker scoring just confirmed Hamilton’s inevitable relegation.

Raining quite heavily. Hopefully the ref doesn’t abandon the game. -

Rangers: McGregor, Tavernier, Goldson, Helander, Barisic, Jack, Davis, Kamara, Aribo, Morelos, Kent Quite happy with that team. Would be delighted with a point. -
Delighted to get the win. Rangers have gone off the boil offensively for the past few games. Still solid at the back but playing twice a week is maybe catching up with us a bit.

First time Rangers have won 5 euro games on the bounce since the 91-92 season. -

Another win in what was admittedly a poor performance. Could have been a great night for the coefficient... One more win and we’re through, I reckon. -
Barkas fit but only makes the bench? Money well spent.

Not sure the winners of the Scottish Cup going into the Europa League whilst 3rd & 4th going into the Conference will be a good thing for the coefficient in the long run. Ideally 3rd in the league would have went into the Europa.

Not sure if true but seen on Twitter that at 54.6 yards that was the most long distance goal in Europa League history. -

The irony is that Roofe would likely have dribbled into the opposition corner flag area if the pitch wasn’t so waterlogged. Some goal though and another great win for Rangers. What a week it’s been. -

Saw Jackie McNamara’s comments on YouTube about how Rangers are not a good team. (He was nearly crying when he was saying it) That’s a new one. Not sure how you can watch how well Rangers pass the ball around, how many chances they create and how free flowing they are going forward and come to the conclusion they are not a good team??? You often see individual players getting criticism but very rarely do you see anyone questioning their capabilities as a team. -

Frimpong may well end up a better player than Tav but there absolutely no chance he’s better right now. He’s played 35 games for Celtic with only 3 goals and 2 assists. He’s arguably not as good a defender either. -

Happy with that first half. Need a 2nd goal though just to calm the nerves. The game is completely passing Barker by. Rangers need to bring on Hagi or Jones in his place: Morelos doing his best to get sent off -

Quietly confident given the team sheets. However, as always with these away derby games I’ll be happy if Rangers can simply avoid defeat. -

He only completed 4.5yrs I think Jordan Rhodes is the only player called up by Scotland based on that criteria. -

Well aware of the agreement as it often gets brought up when mentioning Tav for Scotland. I’m sure if the Scottish FA wanted to make it happen they could. They went all out to get Andrew Driver in the squad. Not that he ever played in the end -

I see James Tavernier became eligible to play for Scotland a few months ago. Could be a good option for them at right back?...
