  1. Bit harsh. He's ugly, sure, but calling him a freak?
  2. I think this will be a terrific game. We come out the traps flying - and there's not been much teams can do about it. Wasteful finishing has been most to blame for us not taking bigger leads in several games. But it's hard work playing like that and we tire. BTTS absolute banker.
  3. The realist in me expects our title challenge to taper off around late March time, sadly. Maybe slightly earlier if we are unlucky with injuries.
  4. Meh. It goes like this: What benefits St Mirren most>>>>>>>>>>>>what fucks the Old Firm>every other outcome. And you're full of shit if you claim it's not the same for you and your team.
  5. What aspects of the game do you wish to discuss?
  6. That would be my interpretation. It probably feels raw because the goal was the difference last weekend, but as mentioned above, that goal was something of a 'stars aligning' moment. Glorious, but an absolute collectors' item at the same time. I can't really imagine many teams (beyond the obvious) being able to exploit that weakness on a regular basis. And changing your tactics to allow for rare moments of magic from players who would usually be planting that effort in a spectator's face seems OTT.
  7. We saw that for ourselves with our own perceptions of what a decent Championship player was and their collective struggles to make an impact in the top flight. Cammy Smith is the poster boy but there were loads of examples.
  8. Fair enough. Tbh I'm actually trying to give the lad some credit - I felt he took the shot on like a guy who was waiting for the flag to go up.
  9. Watching in real time I felt Shaw must have been offside for the shot that he gently nudged towards Hemming, but haven't seen a decent replay to confirm. Anyone have a better view (of what is a massively moot point, I will admit)?
  10. Just wait till we play Motherwell in a competition they actually care about. Then we'll be in trouble.
  11. Revenge for last season's opening game. After the Aberdeen game, good to see that one out. Miller's a promising player but f**k me dead the boy knows how to win a free kick. I'm not having a go - it's very clever - but there was one foul where he actually moved backwards through the air, such was the impact he clearly felt from Mandron.
  12. Thank f**k the real football is back. I doubt we'll throw the recovering players back in. Defence as it was, middle two of CBM and Baccus, front three of Kiltie and McMenamin either side of Olusanya. Hopefully see O'Hara and Mandron from the bench at least.
  13. Yeah, there were wind-up attempts from other fans on here - I was surprised as well - and some panic among the looney fringe in our support. But more widely it was mainly thick-as-pigshit OF fans/observers who couldn't work out that 1) the financial period with the loss applied to the year before we reduced their allocations and 2) the reduced allocations has improved our attendances.
  14. Harsh describing it as a miss, he and the defender both slid in and the defender made an excellent interception to nick the ball away. McMenamin was decent, I thought.
  15. This would have been ok when we were less massive but now we're massive I hate the idea.
  16. I'd argue it's the United fans who've been getting fleeced hardest of all.
