  1. The issue isn’t so much as being second, but being so far adrift. Falkirk would still be top, but the gap would not be anywhere as big. Rankin’s home record in particular in this League is reason enough for his P45 whatever happens tomorrow.
  2. Apparently Zengin’s men aka John Brown etc have been working at the club for over a month now, but no official confirmation of the sale of the Stadium Company. Disgraceful that McGowan et al will walk away with a seven figure sum paid for by Hull City’s owners… if true of course.
  3. I sat in the Main Stand when we beat you guys 2-0 not so long ago and the fans were very restrained, maybe even resigned to what they were watching. If that was the Accies home crowd, those there would have been going bonkers and I say that as I remember our fans going bonkers when the Old Firm scored against us at home with the then Managers Canning then Rice getting pelters.
  4. Boy isn’t an Accies fan as he stated himself. As bright as that Branch guy some of the Bairns. Would be funny though if our worst Manager in 25 years gets us out of this League first time asking.
  5. There are interviews from yesterday on Accies Facebook page; as for ‘match highlights’, we couldn’t do them in the top League, so no chance in The Seaside Leagues.
  6. Accies as usual should have been ahead first half with QOS coming into it second half, although their shooting was akin to not hitting a cow’s posterior with a banjo. Hastie on again as a Sub, hits the bar, plays well and then we have a sending off and game fizzles out. Queens players were geeing each other up and their desire made up for the lack of quality, so they deserved at least a point. Contrast that to Accies: guy near me shouts at the team and Tumilty to show a bit of urgency at 0-0 to be met with a glaring stare from Tumilty. Couple of minutes later Tumilty blasts the ball as hard as he can into Section A where the guy was sitting/standing. The aforementioned sums up the contrasting attitude of both teams: QOS with limited, hard working guys doing their best to get out of their predicament, while our primadonnas with their toys out the pram at justified criticism. The majority of this squad and Management can get in the bin as far as most Accies fans are concerned.
  7. I’d take him at Accies as he knows how to use his resources wisely unlike our scatter-gun current Manager.
  8. This guy is a great friend of mine: an Accies supporter who moved from Hamilton to Carlisle; his boy Harry plays for Queens Under 18’s and he sponsors Annan as well as having a long-standing Hospitality Box at Carlisle. He is ambitious in both his business and in football, although I would have liked him coming on the Board at Accies.
  9. Heard earlier from a friend of one of the Board that Hull City putting up the money for buying The Stadium and in return they get first refusal on any players/ youngsters we sell on. Also talk of a pre season tournament to mark the 150th Anniversary with Accies,Hull City and 2 foreign teams.
  10. How has big Joel been getting on? Quite a few Accies punters roasted him,but they also roasted Dylan Tait and Joe McGlynn…if only there was a link to all three eh? I don’t think he is as bad as some of our fans made him out to be and would do a job for plenty League 1/2 teams.
  11. I’ve heard a Company called Halls? are putting up cash for buying The Stadium. Some of Serif’s men already working at The Stadium. However, there are quite a few whispers doing the rounds McGowan still has control of The Spice of Life Stand which is hard to believe tbh. Apparently that was why Stirling fans were not located behind the goal. All Chinese whispers of course.
  12. I never buy anything from “The Catering” at Accies as it has been rank for the last 2 seasons. One thing I would like to see change under Serif is an improvement here and it has been mentioned at Fans Forums. There are plenty of great local businesses who would do the job including Pieman from Wishaw Juniors who has just stepped down from there and he offered his services to Accies in the past, but they preferred to use companies from outwith the area-like the current mob. The fact he is an Accies fan as well and would keep prices reasonable makes this a no-brainer.
  13. With the stuff I am hearing off the park about Investors behind the scenes I highly doubt that. However, keep this Manager and we will be here another 1-2 years even with investment. The question is when does loyalty become blind loyalty as we are witnessing at the moment. Eventually they will realise they are backing the wrong horse and if he was sacked as he should have been when losing 5-0 at Cappielow, we wouldn’t even be in this League.
  14. That tinpot club beat you in a Play Off I remember to consign you to a decade in the lower divisions while we were winning at Ibrox(x2),Parkhead,beating Hibs,Hearts, and Dundee United all considerably bigger clubs than you.
  15. I can see Accies now going on a decent winning run as there is no real pressure now we can’t even really fcuk up getting into the Play Offs. However, once the pressure is on Rankin will revert to type as will some of these players.
  16. Don’t even think there is a Match thread such is the way it is now. Good result, but the way the Board will look at it is that he is now unsackable. The damage was done from December to end of February, so no dancing in the streets of Hamilton West here.
  17. As I was saying on Sunday. The fact certain people will make money out of this sale sums up everything that has been wrong with our club for many years. However, unless it also involves getting rid of “ Hawdit & Dawdit” from the dugout, it will be a glass half-empty measure as people are sick of this Charlatan in the Dugout with plenty Season Book holders not even attending the last few home games which sums up the frustration.
  18. Well bellend, we sold nearly 1,000 Season Tickets and that was with folk moaning about the prices and with no option to split the payments. If you read my posts on here, you will see why the Accies home support can vary wildly and it is all to do with the contentious relationship between The Club and Fans. We have had decades of Owners castigating supporters and that leads to the aforementioned along with long losing runs. Crowd versus Cove just after New Year was 1400+, so by the reckoning here, there were 750 Cove fans in the away end.
  19. I was in the Main Stand for the recent game against my team and everyone was tut-tutting in the toilet at the lack of soap…there wasn’t any. As for Accies, obviously the aim would be to get back to the top flight since we have had 2 spells there in the last 16 years. However, that is more difficult now I feel with bigger clubs getting their act together, plus the fact we lost over 50% of our fanbase during the Canning years and many of these people still haven’t returned. Whatever League we are in, we need to reconnect with locals and try to get more kids and lapsed fans into the fold. We also need to keep the Youth system going as there is nothing the Accies support like more than seeing kids come through the system and either become first team regulars or move up the ladder. That is one of my biggest bugbears with John Rankin as he was a highly rated Youth Coach at Hearts and has completely abandoned the Youth at Accies refusing to give many of them a deserved chance.
  20. Never even checked the score as that is how I feel at the moment and I feel sorry for those who once again were let down. Listening to his Post Match Interview and I thought for a second it was Canning/Rice talking after an away game at the Old Firm and not a team in this League fighting for survival. He should have had his jotters after that 5-0 defeat at Cappielow last season as it was plainly obvious then he was clueless. One point from 12 is surely meeting The Club Supremo’s KPI’s.
  21. Feck this; pile of ironing to do and Dogs Behaving Badly on the TV.
  22. I give you QOS decline and raise you Accies. Three years ago we were playing Rangers off the park and now we would struggle to beat Berwick Rangers. The decline of both clubs and the halving of both supports is due to bad decisions made in the Boardroom at both QOS/Accies.
  23. Hearing there is a Meeting today which may prove pivotal to the long term future of the club. Basically Zengin is putting his cards on the table with an offer to buy out The Stadium Company. Hence why McGowan was floating around the place on Saturday, although he was heard to say he wishes Serif well going forward… make of that what you will.
