Love a midweek derby btw.
Another goal for “overweight and slow” Anton Dowds

Too early to judge Rennie fully but his subs are absolutely wild.

too early. Read the comment as would walk it in this league. My mistake.
ETA: we’ve probably been confident of it once and McManus did score for fun in this league.
You’re right though that Tidser was surprising in how poor he was - one of the most disappointing signings we’ve had.
McManus was the only one that sticks out for me as well who had a good chance of scoring a lot. The number of forwards who have signed and the fan base has claimed will score goals for fun is very, very few.

Michael Tidser is the obvious one to get the ball rolling.
Michael Tidser had scored 21 goals in his entire career (based on his Wikipedia stats) so whoever said that had clearly never seen him play.

Lol. Nah I'm okay.
You’ve lost count but you can’t name any? Bizarre

He still hasn’t faced the disciplinary panel for booting the flare at the fermers yet by the way. Would expect he’ll get a pretty substantial ban for that.
That would be absolutely peak Falkirk

Generally yes but today I would disagree

More with pass marks with than not for us. Telfer was immense, as was “overweight and slow” Dowds. I was also pleasantly surprised by McKay today who I think did well. Main disappointments were Kabia and Dixon.
Nesbitt’s red was daft and completely unnecessary - the corner clearly went straight out of play.
Not a popular opinion but the support is just as shit as the team at the moment.

Can't wait for him to sign and end up leaving after square-going our fans after getting pumped 5-0 at Clyde or Alloa.

“Part of the Raith Rovers football club”
yikes

I have to say I expected outcry in footballing circles regardless of who he signed for, but I'm pleasantly surprised at the systemic outcry of him signing. Unfortunately, I've got a feeling it's not representitive of footballing fans in general and when it eventually does die down he'll be back to coasting along as he was with Clyde.

or they listened to their fans?
Not sure thats true unfortunately - seems like it would have been a combination of Raith offering more and Clyde not wanting to sell to a club in a similar league position.

He got his yellow card for blocking the goalkeepers kick out. You didn’t see the game now did you?
You’re correct - I was thinking about about the Dumbarton game. The card on Saturday was even more absurd.
Thinking back he might have blootered the ball away against Dumbarton? Either way - Dowds is good but petulant AF.

Dowds was nothing like "stinking" yesterday - absolutely wild opinion. Guy does bags of work off the ball, harrasses defenders constantly, excellent in the air. His biggest flaw is his incredibly ability to pick up idiotic yellow cards by arguing with referees.

What a tackle that was from Watson. Decent game this.

A healthy reminder that those “ITK” largely know absolutely sweet f**k all

Does seem like he’s a few weeks away from being match sharp.

Best hair in the league

We were dreadful and could have had no complaints if we’d drawn or even lost. Nevertheless, a win and a very rare clean sheet.

Seen it this morning on the falkirktv highlights on YouTube. Same as at the time, I still don't know why that's been chopped off.
If anything, it highlights how unbelievably poor the ref was for both teams, as there were a few we got I thought were soft also.
The referee really was absolutely attrocious for both teams. Some totally baffling decisions (at least based on Airdrie TV viewing)

Brad McKay Unbelievable how wasteful we’ve been, and yet here we are scrambling to salvage a point.

Credit to Dowds though re his professionalism . You have been a big critic coming on our forum saying that “ University Level” is his standard and others have said “dugshite”.
I cant believe he doesn’t want to play in the Championship with Arbroath and with far, far better players, much better manager. One or two posters here have said his celebrations looked subdued today whereas when he scores he normally goes wild( just look at the Arbroath Instagram to see real happiness and thats how we remember him at EF), so all credit to him .
As i have said before he was outstanding for us scoring in big games against quality opposition in higher leagues and he clearly did that at Arbroath also- so it has only Falkirk that has set him back.
Really hopes he get his move to fulfill his potential , but well done Rennie for spotting a player .I don’t really disagree with any of what you say but the reality was and is that Anton was not playing well, and hasn’t really stood out at any point at his time at Falkirk. The whole point of a loan is that the player can develop and in exceptional circumstances deliver for the parent club. Let’s not pretend he was doing well for us at the start of the season. I understand you (and the player) will be disappointed, but it’s not like he was picked on for the sake of it.

Clutching at straws and the best form table is the full league table, but certainly over the last 6 games there has been some improvement. Top scorers as well for a team that was the second lowest scorers in the league when Sheerin was still here.
