Thoughts of a potential banana skin for QP or Rovers raising their game should be instantly dismissed. Our manager hinted that he may give some fringe players a shot tonight given the heavy schedule so far and with Saturday’s game against Cowdenbeath in mind where relatively speaking we have a better chance of getting something (BB are no mugs of course). Should be 3 points for QP where fitness itself should be a deciding factor as alluded to above. Our new signs on paper are better than what we have but still too early to have an impact. Stones from Hearts looks a smashing potential for the future- a commanding goalie which we have missed for a few seasons now. Gallagher, McGowan and Sideserf in defence still finding their feet. McKernon and Stevenson both look overweight (I expect some QP jibes about Mark Yardley) . Cox as well still to make an impact. Only thing I will say the two wins we have so far this season - both came out the blue as stick on defeats.

I gave up on all streaming services a good while ago not just Rovers. Someone will be better qualified to give a more upto date review. I found the camera work (pixelott) temperamental although I gather that has improved- the sound is a grinding echo and about 3 secs behind the live play. That’s nothing against the guys who give their time in providing the service in the first place .

I didn’t watch the streaming as it just doesn’t do it for me. I have seen the goals on Stenny website both of them are poor especially the 2nd. A glance at the match stats doesn’t make me feel any better- worrying times ahead

Rovers have brought in new players and whatever you think of them to be honest any experience added to the squad has got to be a positive for me . It made sense to sign the three defenders from Pollok in the hope they would slot right in unfortunately the contract for Grant Evans has been cancelled due to his work commitments at the weekend- a pity but totally understandable. Rovers are hoping that the new signings along with the existing squad and there are some good young players in there will hit the ground running. The fact we haven’t played for months and only had a couple of weeks training I think that is wishful thinking. Stenny are a good solid outfit who won pretty convincingly at Cliftonhill early season. I’m not sure if I will sign up for the streamed game , I’m ready for launching the laptop out the window when we lise the first goal

You know what will happen ,the decision will be put off again on the 1March for further review . Then it will be a bun fight over a 18 game season. Stop start seasons is useless to everyone and they should be working towards a start date for a new season with fans back at the games because all I know is football is pure pish without the fans.

Well there you go I was a mile out as usual. McLaughlin to Brechin on loan. Wharton to Bo’ness. But Rovers have ex-QP Paul Gallacher on loan from Pollok.

I’m guessing a straight postponement would suit Rovers this now. The manager threw the players under the bus after last week’s debacle. How he is still manager is beyond me . Apparently he has two crack centre halves lined up for the transfer window. The rumour mill says from Pollok. Wonder what the odds of them being Bryan Wharton and Gerry McLaughlin. That’ll have you quaking in yer boots lads.

I’m just joshin’ What a result for Rovers totally did not expect that. The next question is can we build on it. I’m hoping moving up a place might give these youngsters some confidence.

Away win I’m afraid. I would gladly settle for a dull 0-0. What a job Gavin Price has done for Elgin. Probably the best Elgin team I have seen since the club came into the senior leagues. I fancied Elgin to be dark houses last year before the League abruptly stopped and I think they look good for promotion this year.

After today’s decision by SPFL to punish St Mirren and Killie. Rovers fans are bracing themselves for the worst for the postponement with Cowdenbeath.

Wonder if Rovers fans are bracing themselves for forfeiting the Cowdenbeath game given what’s happened to St Mirren and Killie.

Looks like this will be on but no idea what team Rovers will put out. Stirling will be huge favourites for this game. Signed a very decent squad - how are Rovers old boys doing - Declan Byrne and Scott Roberts.

I don’t have the inside info but this Saturday’s game maybe in doubt due to Rovers players isolating after one player tested Covid positive last weekend.
