Mctominay and Hickey were our two best players imo, frightening when you realise Hickey is only 21. The boy will be a superstar in a few years.
Felt the 3 centre halves done well and I’ve said it before on here but Porteous has really stepped up to the plate in a Scotland shirt and proved loads of folk wrong.
I honestly don’t think we were anywhere near our best last night and coupled with an incompetent ref to only get beat 2-0 from a team like Spain isn’t the end of the world.
I forgot how young Hickey is still. Seems like he’s been around for years.

Spanish keeper comes out and wipes out Robertson potentially dislocating his shoulder and the ref gives a free kick to Spain. I thought the refs in this country were terrible…

In fairness that was just a quick google after watching him look like a competition winner on Sportscene. Looks a really poor piece of business though for a guy who turns 29 soon who you’d have to say looks to have no sell on value.

Dreadful, dreadful stuff. Constant hoofs and balls into the channels for the strikers to chase, Baldwin’s long throws that barely make it past the first defender. Have we ever actually scored from one of them? Dearie me. The football under Mackay is some of the worst I’ve ever seen.

I was there on Wednesday and I agree that Laidlaw had a huge part to play in that goal but for how long now has Baldwin been costing us points? He’s an accident waiting to happen at the moment and has been for some time now.
I was unaware of a tragedy that he’s suffered and I do sympathise with him if that’s the case.

Hopefully Baldwin is nowhere near the starting 11 for this but I suspect he will be as he seems undroppable under Mackay.
