So Harvie and Sturgeon pulling all the strings...Harvie gets his wish to not have Forbes, and Sturgeon gets 'her' man in, with Swinney.

And now, Swinney can do another deal with the Greens in order to get legislation passed,(and the Greens can get the SNP to keep plugging away at their 'Equality' agenda). The continuity, continuity candidate.

Exactly the same pattern as the Tories in this parliamentary term...they handed the election of next leader to the members who botched it with Truss, same as the SNP with Yousaf. Next time around they cut the members out (too risky) and put Sunak in, unopposed. Now the SNP cut their members out (in case they plumped for Forbes) and have a Swinney Coronation.

Did anyone else notice mccowan was the captain against Celtic, was he always the next choice? Must be respected in the changing room

It's usually McGhee who takes over the armband if Shaughnessy is out. After watching the above interview, it appears the Doc has a soft spot for McCowan.

Aye, but teams that get reported on on Five Live or BBC Breakfast aren't playing in regional competitions. They're playing in English national competitions, so it makes English news.

BBC Scotland reports on the Scottish stuff. It's of absolutely no interest to the vast majority of Five Live's audience. Scottish people living in England have access to BBC Scotland. It cannot be expressed enough that Scottish football is not of interest to a general UK audience.

Whether it is or not, of any interest to to a general UK audience, or is a national English competition is irrelevant.  The BBC is not an English channel (no laughing at the back) and should report on all UK interests.

  4. Went down today to renew season ticket (it's always been a mare getting disabled and carer online). Unable to do so, system down (no, not water in the electrics 😊). Went back later, system up and running, but still unable to do so, as something went wrong. "It's a new system and we're still trying to get used to it".

It'll take half an hour for your application to "unfreeze" and as it's 16:45, no time today.

    Fingers crossed it'll get better.

It's mostly the increase for U12s that annoys me. From £1 to £50. The potential to entice future generations are slashed with that one.

We were in the upper half of the league with our season ticket prices this season already and have a pretty non-functioning pitch so have to reschedule all the time and we are also in a cost of living crisis - so let's slap on around a £100 increase.

I like to think I earn a decent amount but giving me a months notice to pay £430 or face an additional charge is dangerously close to pricing me out. I'll no doubt pay it but fucking hell.

I get where you're coming from.

As someone who is disabled, the "super early bird" price is still over 50% of my monthly income.

Looks like my carer is contributing this year.

How did Dodgson perform today? When Sylla first signed I thought he would be a squad player to see games out but he is now is so important. However Boateng was a contender for POTY and hasn't played bad at all. I would put McCowan at wing back to have Boateng back in alongside Sylla

McCowan at wing back would be a waste

Unionists rubbing their hands in glee at folk in favour of Scottish Independence thinking about voting for a Unionist party or not bothering to vote.

So much this, if the SNP vote goes down, no matter what the other parties register, it will be portrayed as a rejection of independence.

As has been said, "holding your nose" and voting, if your goal is independence, is the only way.

Then once it happens (if ever) the clearout can begin.

    Costelloe      McCowan    Reilly

                           Mellon

This is a very strong team that could happen in the next few weeks. Portales may be a better player than Joe but he is our Captain and helps Donnelly

Shows how decent our squad is now, no Cameron or Bakayoko in that line up, who I'd put as 2 of our more consistent players recently. Thing are definitely looking up.

That's nothing to do with VAR, it's a basic rule in football...

I mean you should know the four things that VAR checks for so as it's not for a goal check it has to be for a possible penalty or red card.

So.... in the several minutes it took between the incident happening(which was not seen by the referee, the assistant, the players or the fans, as there was no appeal),the game being stopped and the tanoy announcing it was a penalty check, it could have also have been a check for a red card? Or another infringement in the box?

The check was a good couple of minutes after the incident for which the penalty was given.

Basic football rules very rarely have you waiting for minutes and guessing what the infringement was for.

The problem I have with this decision, is that leaving the stadium, I still never knew what the penalty was for.

Was the Dundee player on the ground after the corner not a bit of a clue as to why there was a VAR check/review?

In the play leading up to the corner there was a challenge between a defender, goalkeeper and a forward. When going to ground, it looked like (from where I was sitting) that the ball may have come off the defenders hand as it went for the corner. No penalty was claimed for.

Corner goes into box, player on ground (not unusual). No penalty claimed for.

Hence the (my,and those around me)confusion.

Mainly caused by the time between the "incidents" and the VAR check.

I’ve said before he’s like a cloan of Tosh Mckinlay at this stage , wins most one on one’s , exact same running style on his Mazies, and put in a great cross , so for me he’s the best left back since then and tosh was the best since Bobby Cox ,

Stuart McKimmie was a very good full back, as was Erich Schaedler.

They'd certainly make my top 5.

  12. Get it to f%@k

Sunday was an example of how it really iritates me.

Ref holds up the restart of the game, presumably a VAR check. Yup, tanoy announces almost 2 mins later that there's a VAR check for possible penalty (for who? when? it had been more than a minute since the ball was in either box). Penalty given. The guessing then starts. Was it for hand ball in the box, a foul?

Only after the match and listening to the radio, it's confirmed it was for a smack in the face (very soft).

You should never leave a stadium unsure why a decision, which potentially changed the course of the game, was made.
