Sorry, I'm going through a heel phase.

Mark McKenzie to step up and score double digits this season anyone?
He's just not that sort of player. He's better as a second striker making a nuisance of himself and getting the odd goal.

Get more 9 goal players then.
I think we are in painful agreement that with Dipo going we need between 3 and 5 good additions. No?

Dundee got promoted with nobody in their squad getting more than 12 league goals.
Additions are definitely needed but we've not even started the season yet.
I remember Alan Forrest being our top goal scorer at this level with 9 and being relegated.

What’s my prize?
A room with United1973. Congratulations, I'm not sure who I feel more sorry for!

Applies to most teams in this league doesn't it?
It does apply to most teams. You'd hope given this wasn't unexpected that we have a suitable replacement identified.
To be clear though, the replacement is unlikely to do everything Dipo can. Dipo is an exceptional player (almost as good as Sir Lawrence for me). Meaning some other parts of the squad need upgraded as well imo.

I’m not so sure - replace the best player in the league with a risky replacement that doesn’t work out, and we are fucked.
Never mind that we still need to address our creativity issues in midfield and both full back positions to be semi competent.
It is really going to be a huge couple of weeks, but we really need to start to see some movement soon. The league cup is far too important to write off.
^This is my view.
Take Dipo out our team and its bottom half and maybe even relegation fodder. We need some proven additions at this level if we are aspiring for top four.

I take about a year out from posting and immediately return with fake news.
An inauspicious return. Welcome back.

couple of hours on the train to Kings X
I hadn't appreciated the rail network was as good as that. That's a relief.

Aye, York isn't exactly close to home either though. I worry about the sports days.

One things for sure, it should be box office. If it doesn't end with Bullen atop that chair belting out Ayr Ayr Super Ayr, I'd be disappointed.
Were the technical issues last year not the fact they forgot to press record?

My prediction for tomorrow night...
"Sir, I salute your courage, your strength your indefatigability. And I want you to know that we are with you until victory, until victory, until the Premiership"
A random Ayr fan (possibly Itzdrk) to Dave Smith.

Aye, the English leagues are not the panacea that they think they are.

What even is a Gillingham? Is it a type of pig?

That offer is derisory. Send the fuckers packing.

The Jewson video was something new but execution was poor, although wouldn't have been that bad if they'd made him buy anything.
I saw it as an amateur attempt at the Question of Sport style mystery guest.

Aye, print is basically a redundant medium now for news. It was written before the game and published afterwards.

I find it bizarre that a fellow fan tells someone who has spent money on a season ticket with no update to basically suck it up. What a nonsense, #weareunited right enough. More like #imallrightjack. What a poor attitude towards your fellow supporters.
If you have bought a season ticket (in some cases months ago). You should by now expect a personalised update on the status of your ticket. You have also effectively been excluded from two events: a free friendly and the Q&A because you opted to pay in instalments rather than via one payment. I would be pissed off and you have every right to be.

I haven't seen us play yet so I'm reserving judgement until Saturday. Could there be a Friyay in store with four good signings?
It's the hope that kills you!

Murphy seems to be the only new signing to get excited about thus far. Noticed EK have quite a few of the Darvel mob there now, including ex Ayr Avci. The lad needs to pack the game in, been a sub at every club hes ever been at
Careful now... his sister will be messaging you!

The Q and A on Friday will just be the usual sound bites from the club. Mathie says a lot without really saying anything at all.
Leaders of all organisations are quite good at that tbf.

It's going to be Reading at left back again this season isn't it?
