  1. I quite liked Varielle. You are right about his pace though!
  2. I hope he went up for a corner and scored and it wasn't a goal kick which bounced over the other keeper!
  3. It is really weird with Charlie, you don't become a bad player overnight but he seems to have.
  4. Mutch cannot be the answer. I've not seen him make a save other than routine ones. He's not stopped one where I've thought it was a great save whereas Albinson does that all the time. It is premature to be thinking of swapping them. I'd stick with Charlie for the moment, worst case in a couple of weeks we look for a goalie on loan.
  5. I recall him punching too often and every time he did it, the ball landed at an opposition player who scored. At least it felt that way. I was always screaming at him to catch the ball.
  6. Cuthbert was certainly vocal. Never heard a goalkeeper shout as much.
  7. Abstinence then? You must have some amount of self control.
  8. I am desperately attempting to bore @ancientnoise into submission. It is not going well...
  9. I've never had cause to use the ignore function but the last couple of interlopers have got me close.
  10. The Government and the Information Commissioner have been fighting over a few things as of late. The Government lost in the appeals court in December over Hamilton's probe into whether Sturgeon broke the ministerial code (during the Salmond debacle). They received an FOI and the Government said they didn't hold the information relating to Hamilton's investigation. The Information Commissioner ruled against them and they appealed his ruling. With the appeals court agreeing with the Information Commissioner. It's not exactly the transparency that Humza has spoken of in the past. Its a bit unedifying watching the Government fighting with the Information Commissioner over disclosure tbh. Especially when it ends up in Court.
  11. 26th place I'm screenshotting that, framing it and getting it on the wall!
  12. If that's your argument, take it to the extreme and do we need a coaching team then? Lots of variables affect high performance. It could be something going on in his personal life. It could be he doesn't like the coaching. It could be he's just having a sticky patch. I wouldn't rule anything in or out. Proclaiming it's nothing to do with coaching is a weird one for me, it could well be. It's all speculation at the end of the day. Moreover, Albinson isn't the biggest issue in this team. The defence remains porous. Albinson came to the rescue in the first half and has been doing that for far too long.
  13. Albinson has definitely regressed this season. He's still significantly better than Mutch though. We'll need to persist with him either way. Hopefully, he plays through this sticky patch and finds his form again. As for the goalie coach, it's a variable that has changed. I don't think it's a stretch to question whether he is having an adverse effect. In the same way that those that believe Bullen turned McGinty from a bombscare into a competent Championship centre half. If coaching can improve players it can also have the opposite effect. There is also the question of the defence in front of him. The first goal in particular could have been prevented if Bryden hadn't misplaced a pass, if McGinty had actually defended and made it difficult for the forward and if Charlie had dove a little faster. There are three culpable for that one. The second one is just an utter calamity. I dunno what Albinson was even doing. It's like he wasn't expecting Docherty to shoot.
  14. The worrying thing is that Mutch is even worse. He plays as if he isn't allowed to use his hands.
  15. The second goal is all Albinson tbf. He should do better at the first but then so should Bryden then McGinty. That one is like a triple brainfart.
  16. Another good thing today - The place was rocking. We had what felt like our biggest home attendance in a good while 2,100+ and a decent away support 800+ which made for a good atmosphere. Keep playing like that and more people will come through the gate. We need to be positive at home. Something the previous three incumbents in the dugout never understood. I'm feeling delirious with positivity. I had forgotten what it felt like!
  17. I can't blame him. I've wanted to scratch my own eyes out when watching us for large spells over the last three seasons. Brutal doesn't begin to cover it.
