  2. There is a huge difference between a shitehole and a scummy area.
  3. Fair enough. It was just a thought.
  4. Just for the sake of joining in the fun would it be ridiculous to revive the Celtic (hard c) nations idea. I think the World Cup may be a bit of a stretch but the Euros is well within the ability of a Scottish led and Welsh/Irish abetted bid. IIRC did we not narrowly lose out to Ukraine/Poland by the odd vote?
  5. Outstanding. Just outstanding. This has to be the best yet. Thank you Lex, you made an otherwise dull train journey tolerable.
  6. Doing a social work degree? (Just for the record this is meant to be a humourous post based on prejudices that I do not agree with.)
  7. You had a girlfriend? Whoda thunk.
  8. Where did your fellow unionists go?
  9. You stated I claimed the Tories were running BT. Were you lying? Yes or No?
  10. You stated I claimed the Tories were running BT. Were you lying? Yes or No?
  11. Are YES also stating the Labour line on NATO? Yes or No? Do YES also state that the Greens and "other parties" would like Scotland to not be a NATO member? Yes or No?
  12. Does the YES website also state the policy of the Green party and "other political parties" who wish to start a new currency. Yes or No?
  13. NHS for YES. Africans for YES. Sport for YES. Women for Independence. Labour for Independence. Radical Independence. National Collective. Lawyers for YES. Business for Scotland. Common Weal are all part of the YES campaign. Are they controlled by the SNP as banterman and HB claim? Or is that ludicrous?
  14. A quick scan at the YES website seems to utterly contradict your view. "On NATO - The current Scottish Government supports continued membership of NATO, albeit with the significant caveat that membership should not require retention of nuclear weapons in Scotland. It appears that the Scottish Labour Party would also support Scottish membership of NATO. However, other parties including the Greens, for example are opposed to NATO membership." "Currency - Other political parties, for example the Green Party, believe that Scotland should move to a new currency in due course, and voters in Scotland could make this choice in the future by electing a Green government. " " Monarchy - In future Scottish elections voters can elect a party or parties that wish Scotland to become a republic, just as today we could elect politicians to Westminster who want the UK to become a republic."
  15. Sigh. Three times on this thread you stated that I had claimed the Tories run the NO campaign. Three times you were asked to prove this. Any luck? Or were you lying?
  16. This would be simple stuff if that was the discussion we were actually having. But its not is it? Of course the ability to fund a childcare policy which cannot be funded at the moment without cutting other services is a fundamental aspect of Independence. The fact that the YES campaign endorse this is not evidence that the SNP "call all the shots". Quite clearly they do not.
  17. No. You are again altering the parameters of the debate. You claim its about top level stuff, but both you and HB began the discussion by talking about leaflets and poster design. Now you claim all along you were discussing strategy and policy. Endorsing SG plans for the transition to Independence is not evidence that the SNP "call all the shots".
  18. What "policies" have YES produced? YES are not a political party.
  19. Your clouding the issue by attempting to.narrow it to policies. Are you saying that no one who is not afilliated to the SNP has any say whatsoever in how the YES campaign is co-ordinated?
  20. Which is different from HB's assertion that no one who is not affiliated to the SNP calls ANY of the shots.
  21. Sorry to keep banging on about this but do you agree with the folliwing; If yes why? If not why not? If you dont want to answer because you dont want to comment on something a fellow NO voter has said thats fine.
  22. Really? I was unaware of this. Was this done officially and by whom?
  23. No im asking you if you agree with HB that the SNP are running the entire YES campaign and anyone who is not affiliated to the SNP has no input. Do you agree with him or not?
