I find that those flat, aluminium cheese slicers are just a wee bit too blunt, and can really 'pull' big bits off the end of the lump of Galloway cheddar as I get to the end of 'drawing' my slice.

I'm finding that VO5 advert where the boy and the burd carry their own heads about a bit disturbing.
