Pretty damning for Celtic that all it takes is us trying to render you useless
He’s struggling to deal with the fact that Rangers have been far better than Celtic in the games that really matter this season
SpoilerIf a game of football doesn’t involve HMFC then it doesn’t really matter

Laughing at Liverpool aside I think they have done pretty well this season.
They've had a new midfield to bed in and their defence has been hit by injuries.
They even had Salah out for a month or so.
A top 3 finish and a cup isn't a bad return.
Just with the context of all the hyped four trophy farewell from Klopp, this has made their end of season fade highly amusing.
Klopp's real achievement has been taking the club back to a point where dropping out of the title race in late April is seen as a cause for jollity amongst the rest of us.

Fun fact - the Dutch royal house of Orange (or Orange-Nassau to give it its full title) has nothing to do with the colour Orange. They originate from Orange, the city in the south of France, which is named after Arasuio, a local Celtic water god.
I’ve been there. It”s about the size of Dumfries so “City” might be pushing it. But it does have a massive 2000 year old Roman theatre thats really impressive and still functioning
I wouldn’t go there specially but if you’re in Provence then it’s worth seeing

I’m not sure if you’re at the wind up. Or have only just arrived on planet earth.
Surely you realised there is only one club that will be first to raise a statement and a legal challenge about anything. That was the first clue. Simply the worst!
I think it should be required viewing that you both re educate yourselves with the original orange/ginger Bomberman!
Some of his quotes could challenge the greatest (comedy) speeches of all time!
One in particular at 4mins 30secs:
“The Holy Scotland is bringing us down”!
It’s incredibly funny but rather sad that these people live in the same country as us.
I remember that now but I only saw a couple of soundbites at the time
ETA: I've just realised that the video is 30 minutes long, I didn't have time for that then and I don't have time now

I always wonder how the dressing rooms work. Do Inter have one, and Milan have one, and they use them regardless of whos home or away?, or is there just a generic "home" dressing room and whoever is designated as the home team uses it?
Same for other teams. Does a team playing away against Inter use a different dressing room than when away to AC Milan?
according to the athletic…San Siro is unique in the sense that it actually has three dressing rooms. One for Inter, one for Milan and the other for an away team. The Inter dressing room has a lot more space, whereas Milan’s dressing room is more compact.

I forgot what a shit stadium it is. I have been to 4 Roman amphitheatres in the last year and Hampden isn't much more advanced
The Roman Arenas in Verona, Arles and Orange are better than Hampden
So I don't know which shithole amphitheatres you've been going to1 -

There is no such thing as level, there will always be one player slightly further forward than the other. The offside law is the exact same whether there is VAR or not, the only difference is the level of precision to which a decision can be analysed.

This is basically a restatement of @craigkillie's theory from earlier which we've already shown to be problematic
But given that people have been struggling with similar paradoxes since Zeno in the 5th century BC we shouldn't be surprised that P&B's finest brains have yet to crack it
There are no photos of Zeno so here's one of Xena instead

I would argue it is mathematically impossible for two objects in continuous space to be absolutely in line with each other. They might be in the same place to the nearest centimetre, or to the nearest millimetre, or even to the nearest 100th of a millimetre, but if you continue to increase the precision you will always be able to separate them.
https://math.stackexchange.com/questions/3328594/why-is-the-px-x-0-when-x-is-continuousas the answer in that link states continuous probability doesn’t perfectly model any real world situation.
If you start by simply assuming that the probability of something is zero then it’s hardly surprising that you can show it’s impossiblewhich means we’ve still not solved the question of whether two players can be absolutely level
I think we’re dangerously close to needing someone that understands Quantum Mechanics properly and that’s not me

Given this is a thread about MUP, not sure why 1950 is in anyway relevant here?
It’s the faster rise in Scotland since the ‘50s that drove the decision to try MUP in Scotland before the rest of the UK.
Unless @strichenerhas had a damascene conversion on this issue it seems a strange point for him to be making

When Dutch people say “William of Orange” they mean the great grandfather of the “William of Orange” that you or I would associate with that title
He was the leader of the Dutch fight for independence from Spain and the Spanish Inquisition

Although as it hasn't actually told us anything it is a "failed experiment" in one particular sense of the phrase

Reading the article - 5th para:
“Scotland had a slower rise than the UK as a whole but remains the worst-affected country for alcohol-specific deaths.”
QuoteThe number of alcohol-specific deaths in Scotland has hit a record high after rates skyrocketed 25% in five years.
Data released by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) revealed 1,276 people north of the border died directly from alcohol in 2022.
That’s up slightly from the 1,245 cases in 2021 but represents a 25% increase from pre-pandemic figures in 2019 when 1,020 people died.
Alcohol deaths have sharply risen across Britain post-Covid with ONS figures showing the entire UK recorded its highest number on record.
There were 10,048 deaths across the UK in 2022, a 4.2% rise from the year before and a third higher than the number in 2019.
Scotland had a slower rise than the UK as a whole but remains the worst-affected country for alcohol-specific deaths.
Given the noise in the data caused by Covid any attempts to unequivocally declare the MUP experiment to be a success or failure must be seen as either scientifically illiterate or disingenuous.

This quote from a Hearts fan on the BBC website this morning. Eleven points ahead of fourth with fifteen points to play for. Fitba fans, eh?
Chris: This game highlights the mentality needed to compete at the top level; we just don’t have it. We have no real spark, Shankland is blowing cold and if anyone thinks third place in the league is a gimme then watch this space. It’s going to be a nervy run in.
When anybody starts going on about "mentality" you can be fairly sure things are going to get silly
It's magical thinking by proxy

Are you even a serious professional football club if you haven't at least dipped your toe into the overnight accommodation and hospitality market
The Park Hotel is has 50 beds whilst the Tynecastle Hotel is only has 25 beds which gives Killie a definite advantageThe Park is the only four star hotel in Kilmarnock making it a domestic giant like Bayern Munich. Tynecastle has four stars but that's mid table respectability in the more competitive capital
And the Skyline restaurant has 5 Stars on trip advisor one more than "Blues" so hope is not lost for the capital
Weighing everything up I'm predicting a draw
