  1. Fully expect Dick to re-sign if we're still in the Championship next season. He's not going to do anything spectacular but works hard and just gets on with it, clearly Murray trusts him given that Dick usually ends up with the captain's armband if Brown and Matthews aren't on the pitch. I wouldn't expect him to be the starting LB but then that might not matter as I get the feeling Murray would like to play a back three more often but realises he doesn't really have the players for it and Dick looks pretty comfortable playing that LCB role in a back three. I think the guy's done pretty well for being almost setup to fail when he first came in. Replacing Kieran MacDonald was always going to make it tough, but having McGlynn come out after he signed and pretty much say that he'd tried to sign other LBs but couldn't get them so Dick was the last option didn't really come across as the best way to introduce your new signing.
  2. It's not like we replaced Gullan with Rudden by choice, Murray was pretty clear at the time that he wanted to keep Gullan but that he wanted more gametime and we couldn't guarantee that so he wanted to leave. I think the biggest issue with Rudden just now is you compare him to Hamilton in that role, the ball gets hit up to Hamilton and he's a good chance of either winning the ball or winning a foul. Whereas when Rudden tries to play that role he does neither, the ball gets hit up to him and he barely wins anything, and the odd time he does he ends up miscontrolling it. You seen it in the ICT game, after Rudden came on every ball that got cleared up to him just ended up coming straight back at us as he couldn't win it. We were a lot more free flowing going forward when Rudden first came in and it seemed to suit him but he's really struggled recently.
  3. Thought it was interesting in Murray's post match interview he mentions hoping to give Corr more time next season. Pretty sure Corr only signed a one year deal so wonder if there's been some discussions about keeping him on to see how he progresses.
  4. Yeah, ending a game with Hamilton instead of Rudden makes more sense. Nothing sticks with Rudden so every cleared ball is just coming straight back at us.
  5. Somebody asked about them on the Facebook post about the bucket hats and the reply was soon. Just checked and it was the 8th March I ordered the first one, didn't realise it was as long ago as that.
  6. It's not been mentioned in the email or on the call, unless I missed it.
  7. He's probably preparing himself for the 40 "Why you no play Corr?" questions.
  8. That felt like a team who'd accepted the title challenge was over after the Utd result last night and were pretty flat as a result. On the positive, second place secured and we know we'll be playing one of Airdrie or Partick in the play offs so have three weeks to work towards it. Regardless of what happens in the play offs, it's been a fair turnaround from last season both on and off the pitch.
  9. Some people seem to get really upset and go overboard on the criticism of him. I think he's absolutely fine, he has things he needs to work on but that's to be expected when you bring in an inexperienced and young (by keeper standards) keeper. He was always going to come with mistakes, if he was the finished article with no weak points to his game, he wouldn't be with us. On the plus side, it's fairly clear what his main weak points are, kicking and dealing with cross balls. And in both those areas he has improved since the start of the season, still a long way to go but it's clear he is working on them. For the third goal last night, watching it back it does seem like he's maybe misjudged where he is as he did leave a far bigger gap to his near post than I'd expect. But given the shot I don't think it would have made any difference if had been positioned properly.
  10. The way this season has gone, Utd will make a complete arse of things on Friday, we'll win on Saturday and this will drag on till the last game of the season. In a way I kinda hope it's all done and dusted this weekend, Utd win on Friday we draw on Saturday to secure 2nd and we can just concentrate on preparing for the play offs. Really don't want it to go to the last game of the season, we miss out and go into the play offs on a downer and get knocked out straight away. Seen it with Queen's Park last season, with ourselves in the season against Ayr, going into the play offs when you've lost out right at the death doesn't go well. Saying all that, if Utd do mess up on Friday and we win on Saturday I'll be right back on the "We can still win this" bandwagon.
  11. Pretty sure his loan hasn't ended as he's still listed as a Rovers player on the player lists at the back of the programme, etc.
  12. Completely made up. Brought up in Murray's post match interview that Vaughan's been struggling lately and not been able to train properly.
  13. Well that went well. I wasn't that upset at the starting line up and thought we were doing ok, nothing spectacular but it was fairly even. Then we decided that letting Frizzell just waltz through the pitch with nobody putting a challenge in or closing him down was fine, and he promptly scores. Not great, but only 1-0 down, we can still get back into this, then we just go and do the exact same thing again and we're 2 down. Doesn't really matter what tactics you're going with if you defend like that. Second half, full Murrayball and we looked really up for it for the first 5 minutes, then it looked like Airdrie adjusted to it and nullified it for a bit. We got it going again and had a lot of the ball, but we didn't really have a lot of shots on target. Balls into the box which the Airdrie defence dealt with, or balls that there was nobody in a blue shirt to actually attack. We got the goal and if Connolly's shot goes in off the post then maybe we'd have went onto win. But playing that style you're always liable to get hit on the counter and Airdrie were constantly looking to do just that. Airdrie had it spot on second half, wasting time where they could, being solid in defence and then trying to hit on the counter at every opportunity. Well deserved win.
  14. Don't think the email said when the closing date for questions will be but I'd assume it'll be after the Airdrie game. Win the next two games and it'll be standard normal questions, lose one or both of them and then it'll be absolute manic questions. Just noticed that the last half hour will be open for questions so if it goes wrong over the next three home games I look forward to somebody asking if we're throwing the league because we can't afford to go up.
  15. To be fair, given it took them five years to get out of League One and getting thumped in the play offs last season a Falkirk fan would be well versed in the art of bottling it. But I'm all for Ro Sham Bo being negative, I think every time he's been negative this season we've went on to completely prove him wrong.
  16. Dundee Utd have put out a statement that they’re working with Police Scotland about the incident to give them information and acknowledging that Rovers have identified the fan. So it is being dealt with.
  17. Just back in from the game. That was all on Murray, he did a McGlynn and made a mental change to his team in a big game. The whole season has been us having Byrne, Brown or Matthews in that role in front of the defence, going with Turner instead was crazy. We never got a hold of the midfield at any point as a result and Utd looked pretty comfortable the entire game. I was hoping we'd get to half time still at 1-0 and make changes, but Murray kept it the exact same even though it was clear it wasn't working. Did the Utd keeper have to actually do anything in the second half? Not going to say that's it over as both teams have made a habit of arsing it up so who knows what'll happen. But there's not really any room for error on our side now, need to get 9 points out the next 3 home games and see what happens.
  18. It was mental, trying to click a seat and they just kept disappearing. Also, am I missing something is the ticket price not less now, that was £25 but I was sure it was £27 last time.
  19. Got told about Utd restricting the amount of tickets they were giving us a few days ago. Didn’t say anything as I’d hoped they’d change their mind and increase it. Mind you, I was told we were only getting 1,000 tickets so it has been improved on that, barely.
  20. Watching Footy Adventures video of the game and the ref looked utterly pissed when he seen their right back jump straight back to his feet as soon as Easton had been booked.
  21. Last season when we seemed to have non stop injuries I did wonder if it was a case of us doing things very wrong, but I think it can just be bad luck. As in you get a bit of bad luck early on and get a few more injuries that expected, but because of the those injuries other players in the team either play through knocks that they normally wouldn't to try and help the team or players try and come back from injuries too quick to help the team. The end result being those players who were trying to help out end up injured themselves and then the whole thing just repeats as other players then try to play through injuries to help out. Then you just end up with your team seemingly getting non-stop injuries till you get to the end of the season and everybody can take time to actually get over their injuries. I haven't paid too much attention to all your injuries but I'm sure heard a few of my Pars supporting mates mention players who were playing through knocks that are now out injured.
