  3. Scottish football really is fucked up, eh? The one thing that strikes me about this whole sorry affair is how much more entertaining it is than the turgid shite we're dished up masquerading as a sporting spectacle.
  4. But they won't be counted on the official attendance figures. Shhhhhhhhh!!!!!
  5. 87. CLUB COLOURS Clubs shall register, and submit for approval, samples of the colours and designs of their first, second, and where applicable, third choice playing kits with the League and not later than 1st June in each year and shall play in their first choice registered kit, except as hereinafter provided. 87.1 A club's second choice playing kit must be different and distinct in colour and design from its first choice. 87.2 A club may, at its discretion, register a third choice playing kit which must be different and distinct from its first and second choices. 87.3 When two clubs, having the same or similar first choice colours registered, engage in a League Championship game, the visiting club shall play in its second or third choice playing kit which must be different and distinct playing kit from the home club's first choice playing kit. In the event of a clash of colours on matchday and the away club not having with them their second/third choice registered playing kit, then the away club will require to play in the home club's second/third choice registered jerseys and/or shorts and/or socks. Both clubs shall change, under similar circumstances, when playing on neutral ground. 6. Not actually the case, they were sold to the highest bidder prior to the CVA being rejected. A higher offer was made subsequently but the administrators had already a binding agreement in place with Sevco regardless of the outcome (£8.5m with / £5.5 without). I think we will possibly see D & P losing their insolvency licence over their mishandling of this case. Furthermore, the assets themselves were never offered for sale without the business (complete with toxic debt). I don't have the expertise to understand exactly what this means with regard to the propsed Mike Ashley/SportsDirect deal - can someone enlighten me?
  7. The RFFF donations going to "Mr Custard the Bluenose Clown" My favorite moment so far..........
  8. How can £1M buy a 10% stake in a business that was valued at £5.5M by the administrators 2 months ago. Where has the extra value come from...........or were they sold at less than market value?
  9. How much wealth does it take to be "off the radar"? At what point can radar no longer detect wealth? I thought it was used mainly to detect metallic objects such as planes and ships. I'm guessing it might be around the £140 million mark - giving the currants "off the radar" debt!
  10. This photo taken during the East Fife game on tuesday......... Not a Newco then? Does this mean Mr Greens accepting liability for the Oldco's debts??
  11. From SSN: Ashley eyes Rangers stake Newcastle owner keen on Ibrox investment By Graeme Bailey - Tweet me: @skygraemebailey. Last Updated: August 8, 2012 8:01pm Mike Ashley: Considering buying stake in Rangers Sky Sports understands that Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley is in talks with Rangers' Charles Green over buying a stake in the Glasgow club. When Green bought out the old Rangers and formed the newco, which now plays in the Scottish Third Division, he said that he and his fellow investors did not want any one person to buy any more than 15 per cent. They are in negotiations with a number of parties about taking a share, one of whom is Newcastle chief Ashley - who after being barracked when he first took charge of the North East giants in 2007, has now moulded them into to one of the most astutely run clubs in the Premier League. When asked about the possible involvement of Ashley, Rangers manager Ally McCoist told Sky Sports News HD: "Obviously someone with a proven track record like that, who is a successful businessman, would obviously be a good thing. Ashley to buy stake in Rangers "I don't know whether it's a goer, how much money is involved, what the investment is and things like that." Praise Meanwhile, McCoist has heaped praise on chief executive Green and believes the club is now at its most stable point in some months. The club won their first home game of the season 4-0 against East Fife on Tuesday and McCoist has praised the commitment of Green and the board. He said: "I think we're now at the stage where the club has far more stability than we've had in recent months. "The new owners came in, they were the only party that came up and put their money where their mouths were. "They stood tall and bought the club so in that respect they deserve great support from us and from the fans. "I've watched Charles and I don't have any doubt he's watched me in recent weeks. He has absolutely nailed his colours to the mast in terms of his work ethic and the hours he has put it. "He has done his best for Rangers and fought for the club and represented the club to the best of his ability." McCoist also revealed his working relationship with Green continues to develop as they both stride to take the club back through the leagues in the coming years. He said: "I am a firm believer that the most important relationship at a club is between manager and chief executive. "We are in the very early days but it is growing day by day and we each have a good appreciation of the other's situation within the club. "We are certainly both of the view that we want to take the club forward. "It is time for everyone with the best interests of Rangers at heart to unite and get behind the club. "This is a new chapter for Rangers and we are all looking forward to the challenges ahead. The atmosphere around the stadium has been electric in the past few days and there has been a buzz at the Ticket Centre. "This is just the start of the journey and we will all enjoy it together." 0 0
  12. Can anyone shed some light on how this character has managed to stay employed.... AS Rangers' head of football administration, Andrew Dickson is a key member of the executive team on the business side of the club. He first joined the Light Blues in 1991 as a qualified chartered accountant and became financial controller in 2001. It wasn't long before he was promoted again though and Dickson has occupied his current position since 2003. His day-to-day role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including football finance at first-team and academy levels and player contracts. Dickson is also the main point of contact concerning football rules and regulations governing the administration of the game. A director of Rangers Youth Development, he acts both on behalf of the club and the SPL on a number of external committees too. Dickson is the SPL member club representative on the SFA General Purpose Committee and the association's Professional Football Committee. He is also the club's representative for the Glasgow FA and is a former member of the SFA's Disciplinary Committee. In addition, Dickson is Rangers' liaison with UEFA for organisational aspects of European fixtures such as Champions League matches.
