  1. We'll probably just scrape staying up but on the bright side we will have the local Derbies with County next season to look fwd to.
  2. The last thing we need right now is a "technical" player square and back passing, what we do need is a natural flair forward.
  3. If people will vote Labour in the mistaken belief that Labour will turn things around away from the tory rich benefitting and bring the balance back to the majority then they should prepare themselves to be let down. And if you want to know how things will go when Labour are in power bear in mind that Starmer has already sided with the tories on the two child cap while in opposition. And remember how Scottish Labour were quick to jump into bed with the tories during the referendum campaign. Plus voting for a London based party will ensure the wealth will stay in the south of England.
  4. Keir Hardie one of the Labour Party founders would be shocked at what the present Labour Party has turned into. Hardie in Parliament spoke once on how great the wealth of the nation had become but instead of the wealth bringing comfort to the masses it had instead brought increased burdens to the masses. Sound familiar?
  5. Nobody expected this scoreline so far so well done Dunfermline. Pitch is in a bit of a state though, looks as if there had been a rodeo on it last night.
  6. Your club is nothing without Roy McGregor. And all of Scottish Football knows it.
  7. Trump has declared that he will stop all military support for Ukraine. As of now this has been a one way street financially for all countries supporting Ukraine so this statement by Trump is purely based on money as after the second World War Americans enjoyed their golden years in the 1950s all down to the likes of our Lend Lease agreement reaping millions for them. I'm not sure how much South Korea pays the US annually for their military presence but it will be plenty, and Japan pays 4.4 Billion Dollars annually for the US military.
  8. With all the turmoil presently around the royals it may well be that you will have witnessed the last of the monarchy before it's demise.
  9. Nobody replies to VT, he's bad news, best stick him on ignore as most do.
  10. My reason for wanting to know which councillors voted against is only to see which of those represent Inverness wards and how many represent country areas.
  11. The land is owned by ex Caley Director David Sutherland and one other. The proposed area of land the project requires is only a small part of the overall acreage, no doubt we will now see a housing development application lodged for the remaining land, and possibly blocks of flats built. The project will get the go ahead from the Scottish Government as it falls into their renewable policies.
  12. Loads of whining and objections to the proposed Battery Storage project on Facebooks Inverness Awareness page. Some balanced against arguments but mainly the usual nimby moans. In these cash strapped times for councils you would think the Council will vote in favour given the business rates income the project will generate.
  13. I'm a big Stevie Paterson fan considering how he put some great teams together in the lower leagues, but for me Terry Butcher was the outright best manager we've had so far, he brought some good players and moulded them into great teams, Marley Watkins ffs. Great days where we fans attended every game absolutely sure we were going to win. I'll never forget when Terry walked onto the pitch at Ibrox pre game and a roar went up from the home fans yet Terry ignored them as he walked over to our corner wedge stood in front of us and applauded!! Fantastic, then he turned to the Rangers fans and gave them a wave. Aye Terry was the man for us. He has come through bad times with the loss of his son.
  14. I fully understand where you're coming from re guns and illegals given you're domiciled in the Lone State where in some counties there's more weapons than people. Over the years I've been in and out of the State, Dallas, Houston, Port Arthur and Corpus etc, and for some months I lived down in Brownsville, working at the yard there, and one of my favourite cities worldwide for a great weekend is San Antonio, so I am totally aware of the Texas mindset and how Trump appeals to a large section of the community. Then there's the other side of the coin where when we lived in free wheeling SF home of the lefties where NOCAL is Democratic to the core and Trump is the anti Christ. However, as you know many Americans still hark back to the Pioneering days and live by the Constitution so when a dummy stands up and says that America needs to stop paying for and defending the world then that's their rallying cry, America for the Americans etc etc.
  15. Fact is all six bottom clubs and fans will be saying the same for each closing game.
  16. Which part of the US are you living in?
  17. Not so sure about that, yes the Floridian retired snowbirds will vote Republican en mass even though it was Mickey Mouse running but there are many Americans who will vote Trump becauseof his right wing policies, America for Americans for instance. I worked with a qualified intelligent Chief Engineer who voted Trump the first time and he will vote for him again so they are out there in all walks of life. What we fail to understand here is that it's not Trump the idiot they vote for butt the policies he plays on
  18. Ex Caley Director David Sutherland in one of the owners of Fairways. So the question of who owns the land and who will be favoured to develop it is self explanatory.
  19. So as with the tory party who have totally ignored the majority of UK citizens for the past 14 years with their reckless monetary policies. The Caley board, who have ignored their fans for too long, now knock on their fans doors asking for support? I, like all Caley fans, always will support my club, so putting aside the clubs distancing from us, I will lobby my local Councillor. But this has now to be the beginning of a bridge between fans and club.
