  1. Can play there as well as midfield so would give us options in a couple of places but as others have said would be surprised if Livi let him go
  2. Stephen or Sean? Stephen is attacking player and Sean is a defensive player from what I know.
  3. You dont think Smith and Jakubiak would be better options off of the bench than Freeman and McLeod?
  4. For the level we are at we have a good starting 11 but could really do with a couple of additions to beef up the squad, doesn’t need to be superstars, a couple of players like Smith and Jakubiak would improve our options.
  5. I wonder if the striker we were in talks with was Ollie Shaw who has just signed for Motherwell. Think the decision not to bring in another striker could come back and bite us on the arse big time.
  6. Great result yesterday at a place where we have witnessed some dismal performances during our last time in the championship. Really impressed with Docherty again and I thought Glass had a good game, really hope he can finally get a run of games and prove he is good enough as it’s really now or never for him as he no longer falls into the youngsters category for me. As others have said we have a good spine to the team (Walton, Gallagher & Holt, Docherty & Sibbald, Moult), the worry is how we cope with any injuries there, Glass stepped in well for Sibbald yesterday but I’d be very concerned if Gallagher or Moult were missing. Next 2 league games at home and we really have to be looking to take maximum points.
  7. Most of that possession was goal kicks due to a combination of their keepers time wasting and our piss poor finishing.
  8. Freeman is out injured, hopefully this is not the only disappointment you have today.
  9. If Docherty is still out then it has to be Grimshaw in midfield and we try either Denholm or Bisland at right back, not ideal as they’re likely to be up against McGeady but we really need someone with a bit of dig in the middle of the pitch.
  10. Webster is by far the pick of the bunch, the others were listed in response to us not having had any decent loan players
  11. Andy Webster, Pavol Safranko, Willo Flood, Dylan Levitt, there will be others but we have had a few decent loans over the years but certainly had our fair share of trash.
  12. We currently have an internationally capped keeper available who has previously worked with your new goalkeeping coach. He has already previously helped your team to 3 points.
  13. I know Aberdeen fans have absolutely slated the guy but given the league we are in, would he really be a bad signing? Genuine question, don’t know a great deal about him. Think Goodwin has realised pretty quickly that Denham isn’t ready for the psychical aspects of the Scottish game quite yet.
  14. If you read my post you will see I said that I didn’t see the Partick game.
  15. Would use the next two dead rubber cup games to try a new system, back to a good old fashioned 4-4-2, 2 strikers being fed by 2 wide players with 2 solid midfielders sitting in front of the defence. Didn’t see the Partick game but wasn’t impressed with our new centre half pairing against Spartans, Denham looks like he’ll be bullied in this league (hopefully some coaching and match experience will change this) and Holt doesn’t look any better than Graham. Hopefully Moult isn’t the last signing as we still desperately lacking in certain areas. As it stands my team would be Walton Grimshaw Denham Graham McMann Niskanen Docherty Sibbald Fotheringham Watt Moult
  16. Watt wasn’t great but he’s never a number 9 in that formation and that’s not being critical of Watt, he’s just not the right type of player for that role. A 9 as a lone striker needs to be able to hold the ball up and bring others into play and it’s vital we bring someone in capable of playing that role. Middleton was fucking dreadful and looked completely uninterested. When he got moved to the left in the first half he was playing just in front of where we were standing and not once did he ask for the ball or make any sort of move to create space, the performance of an absolute imposter.
  17. His reasons for not returning are not football related, one way or another he will be away.
  18. Could be a negotiation tactic from the club in trying to get a fee for him be claiming he’s still part of the first team squad, however given the reasons for his absence I don’t expect to see him back.
  19. A fully fit properly motivated Tony Watt could be key to our league chances, agree with what others have said about him being man managed correctly but I’m sure Goodwin has a decent reputation in this respect. There are still plans to bring in at least one more forward which will definitely be needed as should Watt get injured/take the huff, we are back to asking too much from young MacLeod.
  20. Let the club keep my money from the Covid season as this was totally outwith the clubs control but will not be letting them keep the additional money this time round as it is down to complete mismanagement on the clubs part. Had we tackled the glaring issues with our squad in January I would forego the rebate (although we may well have stayed up), but the failure to do so was sheer negligence on the clubs part and it shouldn't be the fans who once again are asked to pay especially when the club have offered this rebate as an acceptance of failure on its part.
