Seems to have stemmed from a tweet by Burns mentioning Watt being "home to roost" in relation to his chickens and has now snowballed to Watt signing for Motherwell and Utd back to being short of attacking options, load of pish imo

Just need a marketing plan that helps us shift 600,000 of them and we might break even

At the game several Utd fans may have thought it was a foul (myself included) but I don’t think anyone would still be claiming for a foul after watching a replay of the incident.

Definitely not a foul for the winner, just shite defending from Holt who probably had his worst game since signing. The lack of attacking options is killing us, Moult off injured at half time and we can only bring a midfielder on to replace him, whether it’s Murray or someone else we desperately need to get another striker in pronto.

Docherty, Gallagher and McMann all missing is a big blow, Tilson and Graham will hopefully carry on from good showings against Arbroath but a decision is to be made at left back. Duffy seems the obvious like for like replacement but has zero league minutes this season, Freeman has filled in at left back before but his confidence seems shot, Middleton finished the game there on Tuesday but would Goodwin want to take him out of his attacking role and lastly Holt could play there but with Gallagher missing there’s no way we could move Holt from the centre of defence. Personally I’d like to see Duffy get the nod but wouldn’t be shocked to see Middleton there with Cudjoe starting further forward.

I want to pump Holly Willoughby. Anyone else want to list their unrealistic targets.

Suspect Duffy not coming on was more about Cudjoe getting some minutes as we continue to try to get him to sign a new deal (currently doesn’t look like happening)

Hopefully Moult can find his scoring touch again, the last few weeks have seen him gone from this seasons Shankland to this seasons Boulding. A comfortable victory by a few goals would be glorious but any type of win will do, can’t keep dropping points at home.

Was mentioned on our thread recently that we have 25 points from 27 with Docherty and now 9 from 21 without him

Think there has been an overreaction in some places given that it was our first defeat in the league and it’s mid December, however there has been a definite decline in performances recently and the pressing game that worked so well at the start of the season seems to have been abandoned. Too many players out of form at the moment with no options to change them, no goals in 7 games for Moult, Middleton back to being absolutely anonymous after doing really well earlier in the season and Tony Watt being Tony Watt.

Not much between the two teams today and the game was decided by one moment of brilliance. Utd have gone from a team scoring for fun to a team who just don’t look like scoring, reinforcements desperately needed in the transfer window.

Pretty obvious what our tactics need to be for this game, do everything possible to ensure as little stoppage time as possible.

This is where Raith have an edge over Utd, week after week our bench is full of unproven kids and Jordan Tilson, whereas Murray has the option to change things in search of a goal (which he did very well last night imo).

On current form Raith fans absolutely should be believing that they can challenge for the league, as we approach Xmas you have only lost once and sit 1 point off the top. Our squad depth is nowhere near as good as some opposing fans think, last week with Watt missing and Moult having a stinker our only option on the bench was a 16 year old academy prospect, our starting 11 is strong for this league but we are only a couple of injuries away from being in big trouble and we really need to strengthen during the transfer window.

Might it not have been an idea to try using it?

Hopefully yesterdays result will reinforce the fact that we can’t go an entire season with just 2 strikers, Watt missing through injury and Moult a bit off form but absolutely zero options to change things

We'll be a lot more than skint if we dont get promoted, hopefully Ogren will look at the disaster of the last xmas window and see that the gamble of not improving things was a massive mistake.
