  1. Would totally agree with this. A lot of of lovely triangles etc. in possession, but where is this possession? Usually in our own half or middle of the pitch. Playing right into St Johnstone’s hands as they wait to pick the ball at the right time and break.
  2. Yeah, spot on. I did say he was a big part of the problem, but none of the front 3 had a good game either. I’m always hoping Hedges is going to show abit more than he does, but at least he has more movement and will close down opponents. Must also credit St Johnston, defensively and in midfield they handled us pretty well.
  3. Subbing JET for Jenks has been the difference the last 2 games though. Most of JETs silky play is far too deep where he can’t hurt the opponents. I would go as far as to say St Johnston were happy to let him do his thing near the halfway line.
  4. Thought that was a poor performance today. Thankfully the saintees are absolutely powder upfront, with 1 close call when their header hit the post I think? So slow in possession and no desire to get the ball forward with any urgency or penetration. The movement of the forwards was almost solely to drop deep, making it all too predictable. For all his nice touches, I really think JET is a big part of this problem. Unfortunately Hayes use of the ball in the final third when decent moves were built was dreadful. Will be a massive help when Ramsay is back. Top finish from Jenks, who deserves to start ahead of JET or at least should have been on at half time.
  5. Is he? Narrow victories with a team multiple times better than the opponents. Hmmm.
  6. Might well be shit in March, but usually fine in may, June and July.
  7. Of course Longstaff hasn’t played enough to be written off. Seems most of the new signings have been written off at some point, then a half decent game and they are ok again. Young players need games to find their way and how they are going to influence games, for most that takes time unless you are Calvin Ramsay.
  8. An enjoyable week, nothing more, although that’s a fair achievement considering how cold/snowy and rainy the 2 games have been. Realistically Livi and the Maureen’s are just cannon fodder though, out of form bottom 6 teams up at Pittodrie. Need a few more results this month before getting too excited. Moving Ojo out to the right, where he has to work harder instead of coasting as a holding midfielder has been a smart move. His displays should mean we never have to see Gurr again. Need this run to continue.
  9. Sunday sesh I assume Al. Have a good one mucker. If you knew my family situation, you would understand a sunday sesh is a distant memory.
  10. No probs, that’s could help in your quest for 6th.
  11. 6 points from 3rd, 1 game more played. Interesting. Would be a good time to go on a wee run.
  12. Amazing to see 4 goals, been a while. Bates is fair coming on to a game, amazing what a bit of patience does. Great substitution getting Emmanuel-Thomas off and Jenks on. Jenks is really growing on me, he obviously has talent. Hope he stays for a while and starts to get in the first 11 more often. Very enjoyable game in what was at times horrendous conditions.
  13. 2nd half we were well out of things until Emmanuel - Thomas was substituted. For every nice flick there is a lazy f**k up, and off the ball he is a man short. The definition of a luxury player, but when the going gets tough his touches aren’t enough to justify a place on the pitch. Would play him against the crap like Livi, who were dreadful.
  14. In going to assume you were in a coma the week Gerrard buggered off at the first chance?
  15. When the f**k were you going on about 54? Oh that’s right, it’s all about kidding yourselves on that you believe you’re supporting the same team and they didn’t actually go into liquidation. You let your club die. 55 stands for the 55k fans who went every 2nd week and yet still couldn’t save the club. Or maybe 55 stands for the amount of times you have to say ‘ it really is the same Rangers’ before you brainwash your mind and you genuinely think it’s true? 1 (yip 1 major trophy for all that new debt racked up, what an achievement)
  16. Kelty, or more specifically their general manager, have said that they want to become self sustainable (to avoid a Gretna scenario). it’s easy to do that, as long as they accept it’s not a level at which they are operating at just now. They don’t have the fan base for that, unless another benefactor appears.
  17. Not bitter here pal. Used to do work for Keltys money man, decent guy. Wasnt a glass ceiling either, junior clubs chose to be junior. People go on about the junior ‘giants’ joining the leagues as if it’s some kind of saviour for Scottish football. ‘It will push up the quality of football in this country’. Pish. It’s the same players, just signed for a different team.
  18. Possibly the first time in my life, but have to agree with Neilly here. The only thing remarkable about all of this is the amount of money that’s been thrown at a part time football team. Anyone on here could manage Kelty to the title with the squad they have, in fact the players could do it themselves without a manager.
