Yesterday felt like watching the game we pumped Aberdeen in to get Goodwin sacked last season but our players were the ones who had clearly given up trying for the manager this time. St Mirren could’ve easily had five or six in the first half.

Does he talk a great game? Always seemed quite dour and uninspiring to me.

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a player give less of a f**k than Dylan Levitt.

That’s how I saw it. We weren’t making a signing in that area until it became clear McKirdy was away. Mayenda can’t possibly give us less return than McKirdy did either. Montgomery certainly needs to start winning some games now. Squad is much healthier and we’ll not have to rely on several 16 year olds off the bench any longer.

I’m unsure what Foley/BK could possibly do from the position of being a minority owner that could ruin the club or that we should be extremely wary of. There’s absolutely no hope of him getting full control and the Gordon’s don’t want that either by all accounts.

In terms of infrastructure it sounds good. New hospitality bar in the famous five stand along with the new safe standing section are both positives. Indoor pitch at East Mains will also help when the weathers shite, which is 99% of the time over there. Having a few million to spend in the summer initially sounds exciting until I think about the mountain of cash we’ve wasted over the past couple of years signing total dross. Hopefully Foley and his group can help a wee bit in regards to player recruitment as well as giving us the cash to finance the deals.

Will we manage to score twice again and still not come away with three points? Probably.

Pumped as expected. Monty is certainly more likeable than his predecessor but results wise not much has changed. Hopefully we see an upturn with these new signings coming into the side. The fact that we’ve not strengthened that defence yet is laughable.

The way we defended at times against Forfar has not improved my confidence for this. Could be another 3/4 goal mauling. Our record against Rangers recently is atrocious.

Marcondes looks like he was good last season when on loan but now coming to us off the back of an injury having not played all season. Hopefully he can get up to speed quick, seems ideal to play just behind Vente.

Can’t agree with that Hoose. Think Obita has been one of the better summer signings and certainly better than Lewy these days.

He might fit into the second striker role to let Vente move further forward but I’m not sure he’s ever really played there. There seems to be a lot of hype around him and I don’t really see why.

Aye this is my problem. A player that can’t get into that Dundee United team isn’t going to come straight into ours and tear it up. We need players for now not ones that might be good in a few years. Same problem as signing boys like Henderson and Kenneh. The Harris/Boyle transfer was a ridiculous one off.

Why are we wanting to sign a boy that can’t get off the bench for Dundee United in the Scottish Championship?

Lee Johnson was given three transfer windows ffs. He was heavily backed in both summer windows and was allowed to change the squad in the January too despite having a horrific record and being off the back of two derby pumpings. The goals we are conceding are soft as shite. Three consecutive headers Motherwell won in the box yesterday for their second goal. Hearts goal any competent centre half doesn’t let Shankland win that first ball. St Johnstone Levitt just passes them the ball under little pressure. We’ve scored twice in seven games this season and not ended up winning. That’s ridiculous and clearly shows where our issues lie.

Don’t think we’ve performed all that well in our last two games but still got results. Newell probably going to be a big miss but it’s a good chance for Levitt to step up and be the main man.

Sure he’s already done so with Auckland.

Is there even any chance of this Foley character getting full control of the club? Sure Ashley tried it with Rangers and the SFA blocked it years ago. Theres absolutely f**k all any normal fan can do to stop this investment happening so we just need to buckle in and hope it works out well. Of course the large majority will be searching for the positives.
