Thanks for replying but ‘we did nothing about it’ would have been sufficient.

    😂

Spare us the faux bravado mate, you wouldn’t have done a single thing yourself in that position and nor should you. It’s the police and stewards jobs to police fans not some eejit who has watched too many Danny Dyer movies and now thinks he’s a hard nut.

If ‘most’ fans were against it, why wasn’t it forcibly removed from the pro- Hamas section of your support during the game when it was displayed ?

Why did the other fans in the stadium let it be displayed given the events of the previous day and have an idea of the negative press it would give your club ?

You didn’t read what he replied to did you? He was taking about Celtic fans on this forum.

And the idea that fans can forcibly remove a banner that is displayed only for a few minutes in a 400/500 strong crowd whilst evading stewards, police and somehow avoiding a riot is a bit laughable.

How would you intend to organise and mobilise such an effort in only a few minutes?

Have you ever steamed into a mob of 100’s before?

The question you should have asked is how on earth was such a banner allowed in the stadium in the first place

Celtic fan’s overtook Rangers fans in my overall “scumbag” rankings on 7th October.

A large percentage of their fans on here tried to deflect from what had happened (with a couple of exceptions) but then miraculously started to give their own negative views on it only after their club released a statement.

The majority on here are absolutely brainwashed. It really is a cult.

Put my thoughts in spoilers so that those who think I’m just trolling can ignore them.

It’s a shame that thread got deleted as most Celtic fans on here called out that banner in the strongest possible way that day

  4. Yeah I can’t get onboard that Abada has to take any blame or is somehow culpable for anything that has or is currently happening.

He was a young footballer looking to develop, no doubt he would have spoke to Nir Biton who seems to have had significant influence on his decision to come.

So yeah cut the kid some slack, he was brilliant for us for those 2 seasons. That Kyogo, Jota, Abada trio gave us fond memories so yeah I hope he finds the success, peace and happiness he is looking for

Totally created by (some) of your fans. The problems that Abada suffers, according to Rodgers, don't go away just because he's moved to the USA, but the Celtic fans do. That obviously gives Abada a bit of comfort.

Celtic fans didn’t create the Gaza conflict mate, it’s a bit of a stretch to pin that on us too.

But keep going with the narrative he was forced out by us even when the player himself says otherwise because clearly you know the guys mind better then he does

Brendan Rodgers has been charged by the SFA following his outburst over the match officials in Celtic's loss to Hearts.

The Hoops gaffer has now been hit with a notice of complaint by SFA Compliance Officer Martin Black and faces punishment from following his post-match interview at Tynecastle. The Irishman will learn his fate at a Hampden hearing on Thursday, March 28.

I’ve said this a few times but this thread is further proof that Celtic fans will always have that inferiority complex when it comes to Rangers.

Anything other than winning every single domestic game or domestic trophy clearly leaves them feeling second best to Rangers, despite the whole death/Newco scenario.

I’ll take your point when we start referring to the next trophy by its number so everyone knows just how many trophies and titles we have won.

I don’t think it’s just flag waving from Celtic fans though. There is clearly a lot of online abuse he is receiving, even if he did receive an ovation in the stadium.

Add in the claims made today from the president of his former club that he has been approached in public by fans then it’s clearly a more complex issue than just Palestine flags being waved.

You are right about it being more than flag waving and there being online abuse however the claim you said was being made today was actually a claim made last week and shut down by Rodgers who spoke out about it then.

I know I said I wouldn't post again on this thread today but I feel I must ask for you to rearrange these words into a well known phrase.

Banging I'm wall head brick my against a.

You can ask however probably best you just act on what you said

Anyway I have said my bit but unlike you I will leave it there.

Oh and good luck to Liel Abada, I hope he gets peace to enjoy and make the most of his career.

Definitely my last post on here today. My point initially was that if the Celtic fans are not taking the stance that they are over Palestine, Abada would be staying at Celtic. A simple point which no one of a Celtic persuasion on here seems to be able to bring themselves to admit. Nothing about whether Celtic fans should or should not be taking that particular stance. But I'm sure you know that.

Sections of Celtic fans were taking the same stance on Palestine way before the conflict escalated, let’s not forget this isn’t a new conflict but a significant escalation of an existing one.

Palestinian flags have been waved at CP during Abadas first season and second seasons and there wasn’t an issue so it cannot be solely Celtic fans stance on Palestine as that is not a new thing.

What has changed is that since the escalation of the conflict is the abhorrent and vile abuse directed at him and his family in large chunks by of his own countrymen. The pressure put on him by his national team coaches etc. It’s made his position completely untenable and he’s now doing what any sensible person would and protecting what is dear to him, and that is absolutely fair enough.

But you neglected to mention any of that abuse unless of course you think that playing for a football club where some fans have been known to wave Palestinian flags and show support for their plight merits the abuse he is receiving from pro-Israel segments. I’d like to think not however it wouldn’t be the first time you surprised me this week

This loss to Hearts seems to have upset him, somewhat.

Rapidly eclipsing @Jinky67 in the "must reply to everything" stakes.

Your fellow fan @kingjoey pisses all over me in that stake these days. At least when I reply it usually has something to do with my own team but Joey posts more about Celtic than I do these days.

What?  Your support have banners supporting Hamas who committed terrorist attacks on the country the player is from?

Why would he want to play football in front of a support that does that?

I’ve never seen an Hamas flag or banner at CP however if you mean the banner on the day the war broke out you would have seen many of our support condemned that particular banner, myself included.

It was tone deaf and thousands of fans gave public support for the lad.

Its his choice to go, no one including the fans are telling him to, the question to why he would want to stay is a different thing entirely but there is no force

  13. 30 minutes ago, Hoose Rice said:

What a media cover up about a player being forced out a club because of his nationality by a bunch of fucking weirdo supporters.

It’s not the support forcing him out at all, he was welcomed back with a huge ovation. It’s the pressure put on him and his family from back home that’s forcing him to evaluate his options.

No need to fabricate utter shite to suit a narrative you want to paint.

On Abada however, I’ll be sorry to see him go but since his injury he just hasn’t been at it all, I feel for him as he’s in a difficult spot but we make a good profit and good luck to him, I hope he does well in MLS like GG has done.

I think the issue everyone has is the game situation where Rangers always get one.  It's either when they're losing by a goal or drawing so the officials appear to be 'helping' them. Celtic seem to get theirs when they're already 4-0 at home to someone so they don't get highlighted as much.

What should be highlighted is how abjectly pish we are at penalties.

There are some exceptions though, the pen we got late at Hibs was a winner

It's actually you that's assuming gender there but not sure what that's got to do with your manager and goalkeeper being pretty pish.

It doesn’t have anything to do with it however cunty behaviour needs called out.

    Do better

Loves how Brenda was going on about his team showing fight, they downed tools at 2-0 imo, saw no fight.

Whats with the constant mis-gendering of Brendan Rodgers?

Surely you have enough to gloat and laugh about without having to do that? 🤨
