Is it just me or is Aberg escaping a bit with his displays? He’s a fine player and will be for years to come but I felt Hovland carried a lot of their team and getting smoked by Big Brooks - who has been pretty hopeless this week.

Does Donald get the gig for Bethpage next time? I know it’s traditionally a one-time thing, but there aren’t a lot of great candidates outside of the LIVers and it’s an extra big task winning an RC in the US.

I would argue putting out the worst player on the course yesterday in your opening foursomes wasn’t an ideal plan…

That’s a pretty dismal effort from Bob today. I know he wanted to build up some momentum ahead of next week but playing a tough golf course in poor conditions was not the best choice and it’s ended up possibly having the opposite effect from what is desired. I could see him getting a run out in the Friday fourballs next week and that might be it until Sunday unfortunately.

Another thing I thought about this, not only are the Americans playing much better but this course just looks set up to them. I can bet the course next week will be tricked up to make the US feel uncomfortable but you could plonk this track in Texas or California and nobody would bat an eyelid.

I think they’d rip your hand off for 3-1 here.

Any person losing their job is of course nothing to rejoice in but I do find some of the obituaries and hand wringing online about wrestlers like Aliyah and Rick Boogs a little bit much. Realistically nobody was calling for them to be given time on TV and they’ll probably be able to do more on other promotions.
