  1. Saw this on other s media. Interesting 1991 and we only got 400 souls for a home match v Morton. 32 years later and our home support is actually slightly higher...
  2. I don't know that much about Annan, but their 2 talisman performers are Johnstone and Wallace, neither of whom looked like players when the stole wages at Clyde. I also saw them against Pollok in the cup and, again, they looked ordinary. I'm guessing Duffy's plan was not to lose tonight and the 1 goal lead has to be a bonus. Our lack of sharpness in front of goal is my worry: we could have easily scored 2 in the 1st half and another in the 2nd half, if the ball had been squared.
  3. We had both the best cajnces of the match. Haven't seen Cameron touch the ball yet. Some reward for wee Oli after 2 goals on Saturday.
  4. Of interest, but possibly not significant, is that we go in with a win and EF start having lost to a team below them. I think Montrose might have had their players' night out, last night?
  5. Comb-overs are something to be cherished from the 70's, of course, but I do like the Mo #8. Came on as a sub last time at NDP and battered us.
  6. Say what you like, but Brian McLean is just brilliant with these cones at half time.
  7. This was based on us having a certain player on our books. Had we not capitulated to the pressure of a backer, I think we would have renegotiated a similar shitty deal with NLC for the coming years and not been made homeless. It was a former chair and finance guy, who gave NLC notice of OUR intention to leave, was it not?
  8. I am NOT a financial person so cannot understand how we can have 'the lowest budget in the bottom 2 leagues' while we consider paying off a capital loan of £3+ million. We have some very dedicated Clyde centred people on the board. We have also had peculiar individuals who have been influencing the board for far too long. The board have been principled and cleared our debt AND fought against us being sold to dodgy individuals who would have seen us in the gutter before now. It was us, not Cumberland that broke the relationship at B/Wood. If the key to unlocking Crownpoint is 'community' why did we not do it at B/Wood and why did The Colts eat our lunch? How much £ do people imagine we can generate from a couple of 5 a-side pitches, when the latest pitch installed B/Wood cost >£800k? Look at our last attendances at Shawfield...they were pretty much the same as published gates this season.
  9. You're right. Tade scored against Alloa. Still shows how much we've regressed, from what was a low level, in just 1 year.
  10. Just struck by the difference between us v Aidrie and the corresponding fixture last year. In 22 we were hammered by a silky Airdrie on a typically freezing Broadwood night, however even that shitey Clyde squad fought to the end and we stole a 2 2 draw with Tade making the scoresheet. On Friday, well 1st half anyway, Airdrie looked more ordinary. We flattered to deceive as usual, but after their slightly farcical 3rd, we were done. We are not only shot-shy up front but both powder-puff and accident prone at the back. Either Airdrie have powered on, despite a sizable turnover at the end of last season or we have gone from poor to dismal...or maybe both?
  11. We clung on there against a pretty poor Queens side. We stand off unbelievably, at the back and have little to offer at the top of the park. This is meant to be our elite referee too! What a squad we have assembled.
  12. So how on earth have we ended up with 3 such poor GKs? If Parry has so many weaknesses, why not give 1 of the 2 others a go? In addition to his slowness to get down as exemplified V Dunfermline last week, I feel getting chipped V Edin showed another deficit in his game. This seems like a season too far for the big fellow.
  13. On this day 15 years ago, John Bomber Brown took charge of his first Clyde team against Stirling Albion. I was so hopeful. TBF he did keep us up.
  14. Rather have one than a crocked soft-cenreed centre half. We've got at least 3 of them.
  15. And please, Mr Duffy, can we get some midfielders too, as we have lost 2 in the last fortnight.
  16. We need someone with a whole lot of money and no brains. No ground, no players, dwindling fanbase and non business people with their hands on the levers...Not attractive to many.
  17. I left before FT and overtook our commercial director before the Whirlies.
  18. The Duff bounce has gone flat...he's out waving his arms like a madman with most of the players hiding behind each other. FC Edin or whatever they're called are much better than us...sadly, the don't need to be.
  19. Fair point about a picture...Jesus, not 1 of the Clyde Players is off the ground., and from the snap, Parry looks like he sneaked off for a pie and is facing the same direction as the Sons players.
  20. Maybe it's the drink but I think we only narrowly lost at home to QoS, Montrose and Airdrie. On another day we could have taken something from each match. If we get any Duffy bounce, we could potentially, emerge out that shitfest of bottom 2, all the way to 3rd or even 4th bottom. If we do, I will gladly sign up to sponsor Duffy's shampoo for all of next season.
  21. It's kinda would you rather die by downing or gassing? Personally, I'd rather live. Duffy might have done ok (ish) with last time but honestly WTF is he done since? Wasn't exactly carried shoulder-high through the streets of Dumbarton was he? Strikes me as neither injecting fear into guys nor being able to put his arm round anyone.
