  1. So is Chipper Rice, having divorced Alloa. Id be happy with McCall tbh. I suggested him on Oct 22nd, just in care anyone is interested. Could have been a great Clyde man if we'd got him at Broadwood when he was in his prime.
  2. I think for that gag to work, it has to be along the lines of 'I have some good news and some bad news'.
  3. Is this the new manager bounce? I think it kinda works with every team bar Clyde.
  4. Julember, I think. Prob won't go our way as we have onone inside The Council.
  5. Following the cup tie, my observations are: We are still poor Musselburgh were worse, on the night. We need a goalie When defending, we only hit the ball in the direction we are facing. The new additions of kids from PL and championship are not standouts. We scored nice goals, but created little else. Despite out bulk, our inbox defending is weak. Mainland seems like a positive presence around the team.
  6. Adding some quality with our subbies there.
  7. Really hope I'm wrong here, but our board's indecision regarding our manager might prove to be an expensive blunder...had we emptied McLean before the break, we could have got the new manager bounce for the cup; instead we have Miller, who I don't think wants the job, babysitting a team who have little confidence. A favourable draw could double our annual revenue.
  8. Most local authorities falling over themselves to gain the extra council tax take from new housing.
  9. A bit like when my bird walked out and I thought, I'll just hang-fire...that Beyoncè might be interested.
  10. Probably 15 years too late with McCall. With our current shambolic state, I'm not sure we need a Scally, who, I don't think, has been a manager, in his own right. As others have said, it's just dissociative of GT, to still be in post. We are a sick club who GT has mislead us with DGW, leaving Broadwood, extending DL's contract, appointing Duffy, relegation, ptotracted uncertainty with Crownpoint, assembly of a LL squad and allowing McLean to coast to the wrong end of the league. A wee bit of responsibility would be good.
  11. Sadly, our timorous board will let this run on and before we know it, it will be Christmas, Crownpoint will be dead, and we'll be detached. We are entrusting the navigation to a series of sightless captain.
  12. And led by JA, I believe. A man whose only interest is JA.
  13. Bit of pressure on McLean now. If he doesn’t turn it round, we're back to square 1, i fear.
  14. 100%. Truth is the board was, and I'd say, still is horribly split, but still maintain collective responsibility. I don't doubt the commitment of the board at all but, they are in denial, if they believe this shitshow will right itself. For a "fan-owned" club, we are pretty autocratic. I get that determination is a positive quality, but stubbornness is not.
  15. I don't know, but I am frequently amazed at the experience and intellect of Clyde fans. Have we ever actually asked 'who in the fanbase can add what we need?' No change in leadership will maintain our trajectory, which is moribund.
  16. This is a huge point. Our starting 11 had 7, I think, from last year's unmitigated shitshow. In terms of the additions; C Scullion will never be a SPFL player. Forbes and Carswell both look way beyond their sell by. Any 'investor' real or imaginary, is doing the right thing by buying when the price is low. Talk of 'gravy train' for directors is just inflammatory bollox. There is no gravy to be supped up. I don't question their motivation but I do seriously question their ability and acumen. A few examples: Extending DL's contact The period ie ending in September for the contract DGW return loan Frying pan to fire Broadwood to NDP Revolving door of same old faces, who have failed, on board Duffy / McLean appointment Chairman's statement made in hope and not based on evidence.
  17. Surely, our legal geniuses would cite the usual "non performance" clause. I'm also confident that the fine legal minds that steered us, unscathed, through the choppy waters of emptying Roberts and Chapman, and seeing off Norrie's egregious lounge claims, will be on the front foot here. I see no issues.
  18. In Trittwr or X, there was a post about us playing and beating them 20+ years ago. Extraordinary how our trajectories have diverged since. Both teams in New Towns, both doing well in league, neither getting huge gates. I wonder what would have happened if we had tried to engage at Cumbernauld, instead of having petulant directors with the sole aim of self inflicting homelessness?
  19. And the front line will help in that direction!
  20. No one with any £ would buy us unless it was as a hobby. We have no assets, little goodwill, a small customerbase and are subject to competitors with greater resources. WTF is happening to our BoD? Vice chair recently stepped down, 1 director, Letham, left and we are looking for a new commercial dir. Do we still have a sponsor or did we chase away the Homes Book factoring guy? Why did we employ Jim Thomson and what happened there? Scunnerred
