Nobody will pay £100k for him however he’s an important player for us imvho. He’s more important now given that Kennedy is away and Oliver is staying.

I heard he’s headed down south so maybe fee might be reasonable given buying power of clubs even at in National League level

Probably but losing Callum Morrison and Kai Kennedy from last seasons squad and giving Oliver an  extension does not seem positive to me.

    Its early doors though.

Agree we need at least one more natural wide man if CM sold as I suspect Agyeman has  been signed to play there rather than through the middle. I also would hope that any fee received for Morrison would be reinvested in quality  replacement

  3. I think the issue here for the board is to stick with what we know or twist to go into the unknown, an unenviable task from where I see it.

Weighing up merits of the two polar positions we have on one side the cautious conservatism of McGlyn, whose football symbolises the nice no risks persona of the man against a risk & reward approach of a younger coach who might not guarantee right results 🤔

Personally speaking I’m coming off the fence & looking for the latter but respect those who prefer the former view

It is not about crowdwanking. It is about clubs who just don’t contribute anything financially to Scottish football as a whole.
Look at Edinburgh. 11 fans at Dumfries, 13 fans at Falkirk but able to compete because someone is bankrolling it.
Queens Park, Kelty, Cove, Edinburgh - Darvel trying to buy their way up. It just doesn’t sit right to me

Falkirk, as far as I was aware, were usually pretty decent at releasing attendances and number of away fans but I've not seen anything this time. One of the staff at the ground told me they had been advised to expect up to 1500 away fans which at the time I was dismissive of but there was a decent number in the stand by kick off although hard to tell when your sitting in it.

There’s a 10 year deal with QP and haughey where he’s involved in providing money for each season. He’s got a strong affiliation to the club and he’s been involved in around even in the amateur days. The job is to become sustainable after those 10 years. Could easily go to pot but we’d be in the lowland league by now without giving it a go

So what’s the catch ? Talking what best part of £1million a year & no return for his investment….🤔

Why? They were an amateur club for over a century. Why do they “deserve” to be full time when it’s only achieved by Willie Haughey chucking millions in their direction. What happens if Haughey says “I am bored now. No more cash from me.”????

Totally agree - they have sold their soul to be Haughey’s play thing & I’m sure the time will come as it did at Greetna
