Probably but losing Callum Morrison and Kai Kennedy from last seasons squad and giving Oliver an extension does not seem positive to me.
Its early doors though.
Agree we need at least one more natural wide man if CM sold as I suspect Agyeman has been signed to play there rather than through the middle. I also would hope that any fee received for Morrison would be reinvested in quality replacement0
I would think the current 14 might see one or two move on (such as Callum Morrison & one of the current central defenders) so the six additions would grow accordingly0
If Thistle go up think a number of their squad might be surplus to requirements0
If he develops as well as another Ross (Stewart) then I for one will be happy0
I think the issue here for the board is to stick with what we know or twist to go into the unknown, an unenviable task from where I see it.
Weighing up merits of the two polar positions we have on one side the cautious conservatism of McGlyn, whose football symbolises the nice no risks persona of the man against a risk & reward approach of a younger coach who might not guarantee right results
Personally speaking I’m coming off the fence & looking for the latter but respect those who prefer the former view0

It is not about crowdwanking. It is about clubs who just don’t contribute anything financially to Scottish football as a whole.
Look at Edinburgh. 11 fans at Dumfries, 13 fans at Falkirk but able to compete because someone is bankrolling it.
Queens Park, Kelty, Cove, Edinburgh - Darvel trying to buy their way up. It just doesn’t sit right to me0
See Airdire back four showing their true form up against a team playing with tempo-2
Must be a record crowd for the Lanarkshire derby tonight0

Falkirk, as far as I was aware, were usually pretty decent at releasing attendances and number of away fans but I've not seen anything this time. One of the staff at the ground told me they had been advised to expect up to 1500 away fans which at the time I was dismissive of but there was a decent number in the stand by kick off although hard to tell when your sitting in it.
Surprised how many are here tbh - loyal supporters0
Today will clarify if 10th May 2023 was for John McGlyn
His Epiphany or Epitaph?0
I take it there will be more players than fans for the home side lap of honour at end of match0
Serious question to QP fans- what’s happened to the central defender Fox as thought he was mom last week0

Given the amount of current & former managers in that stand tonight what are we talking in terms of home support - 420?2

There’s a 10 year deal with QP and haughey where he’s involved in providing money for each season. He’s got a strong affiliation to the club and he’s been involved in around even in the amateur days. The job is to become sustainable after those 10 years. Could easily go to pot but we’d be in the lowland league by now without giving it a go
So what’s the catch ? Talking what best part of £1million a year & no return for his investment….0

Why? They were an amateur club for over a century. Why do they “deserve” to be full time when it’s only achieved by Willie Haughey chucking millions in their direction. What happens if Haughey says “I am bored now. No more cash from me.”????
Totally agree - they have sold their soul to be Haughey’s play thing & I’m sure the time will come as it did at Greetna0
Will that be Coyle out the door again0

Never go full Falkirk.
Two to go0
Imagine not being able to sell out the main stand at Stennie0
Thank goodness a proper club like Thistle is putting the Shawlands franchise in their place. Is this another Greetna story….. shame about the true Spiders fans - wonder if there is any regret on selling their soul?2
Ok got our tickets for tomorrow & we need to go for it so here’s my preferred line up
Yeats McKay Henderson Mackie
Kennedy Lowal Nesbitt Morrison

For me, clause or no clause, we cannot afford to give McGlynn another season. He is finished as a manager. He isn’t a younger Roy Hodgson, he is an older Ray McKinnon.0

in Scottish League 1 General Chatter
I heard he’s headed down south so maybe fee might be reasonable given buying power of clubs even at in National League level
