    £22 K .......and don't forget their parachute payment !!!

Will the financial power of Cowdenbeath propel them back into League Two this season ?

Not likely. I’m sure we will have overheads that dwarf everybody else in the league. That explains why we are where we are.

Serious question for Albion Rovers fans.......

where do you expect to finish in the Lowland League table ?

Not sure it’s a question that can be answered until the playing squad is finalised. If they had the same squad as last season then the would absolutely be top 4 at least. They are the best team to be relegated into the LL from league 2. However I’m not sure how much of their squad will still be there at the start of the season.

Serious question, do you lads see yourselves getting back into League Two?

Never say never. However imo. without some reasonable investment it will be extremely difficult. Just now I’ll settle for competing in the top echelons of the LL. We struggled to compete this season due to having no players just before the league cup started. This upcoming season will be different I have no doubt.
Edit to add. Getting back to the SPFL has to be the target or what’s the point.

  4. I must say all this activity is very encouraging. It’s a long time since I have felt so positive before a season. Surely we can sell a few more season tickets on the back of this. Come on folks let’s back the people working so hard for our community team. Well done to everyone involved with making us better.

Colin Nish ‘let go’ from Tranent, didn’t see that coming, thought they would be eager to give him a new contract.

Incredibly harsh. Thought they had a decent season. What do I know.

  6. Well I’m really glad that season has finished. It was absolute torture at the beginning and became almost bearable at the end. I understand the reasons for this and I am reasonably confident we can put it behind us and show significant improvement next season. Where that takes us remains to be seen. Thanks to all involved with the club who work incredibly hard to keep us going. My season ticket renewal will be purchased next week. Hopefully we get a good number doing the same.

24 hours confirm your on the right side, otherwise you can drown with the rest of the rats.

Moral high ground is not your place. Not since your clubs zero pence in the pound payment (non payment) to all your creditors including local businesses. Button it.

Not sure what Nelly has said on the podcast but it was an interesting meeting on Monday.

He said a fans meeting is arranged for April 18th. He said it is very important there is a good turnout.

🎙️ We sat down with Cowdenbeath's Football Operations Co-Ordinator Colin Nelson to discuss:

🕴️ His role at the club.
    ⚽️ Maurice Ross' departure.
🔭 The search for a new manager.
    🤔 Club strategy moving forward.
🤝 Shareholder and upcoming Fans Meetings.

    Listen here.

Great insight. 18th is in my calendar for the fan’s meeting.

The principle of progression is part and parcel of club licensing. If by some miracle the HL and LL are daft enough to sign off on this, the places for non-B teams would almost certainly be filled through promotion by on field merit. This is not going to magically make the pyramid go away so Cowdenbeath can be back in the national divisions again.

Very strange post. You obviously have some beef with Cowdenbeath. No idea why. Maybe you could enlighten us? That would be good, cheers.

I don't mind @berwick-the-unbeatable and his comments, most of his criticisms are fair but the board don't want to listen to constructive criticism.

I do find very funny and ironic that a senior staff member of the club is allowed to call @berwick-the-unbeatable a bellend.

But I say Maurice is a bluenose and that helped him to get the job and get shouted down by one of the directors on here using an anonymous profile and he would not admit he was a director when he clearly was.

Why does a senior director feel need to abuse a supporter online without revealing his identity, just because a supporter stated an opinion they did not like to hear. I eventually found who it was, I see you.

Seems double standards to me by senior staff and directors on here. They do not like constructive criticism and are stuck in their ways. This is why we were relegated, they were happy plodding along doing things like they always have done. While they stood still, other clubs continued to evolve to stay in the SPFL.

Are you saying Maurice Ross shouldn’t have got the job because he’s a bluenose? I vaguely remember the discussion you are talking about. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think you suggested Maurice only got the job because of the bluenose connection. Someone (I assume from the club)retorted that this wasn’t the case. I can accept that. Why can’t you? Obsession? I don’t care about previous employment. I only care about what people are doing for our club now. There is a recruiting system in place which  now means we see better players on the pitch along with  an obvious improvement in results. Let’s see if this improvement continues. Hopefully it will.
