  1. Also someone who managed in the MLS far above the level we're at. You can argue whether Rennie should be kept on or not but in a week 91000 watched a women's game this patronising approach to the woman's game is just embarrassing.
  2. I've said I'd be open to Rennie staying and having a summer transfer window to really do something and people are right to both critisise and defend him as he's not had long but there hasn't been the improvement hoped for. Let's be honest though even under Sheerin we were never going down!
  3. Is one reason why I'd look to keep Rennie, he hasn't had a chance to turn the team around with his own players. Does anyone really think young loan players were his first choice? January window with COVID means it's harder to get players than before. However things are bad, I'm sitting here thinking do I get livestream from today or not when if we are going well there's no decision to make!
  4. Considering Saturday was our last chance barring a miracle of staying in touch of the play offs the lack of fight was shocking if not surprising. I can take getting beat if we've put absolutely everything in but when you've players hiding and not taking responsibility it's not good enough. There's talent in our squad but we look like 11 individuals running around like a primary school team compared with Airdrie who look like an actual organised football team. To be honest I don't think any manager could make our squad a success and I really don't know where we go from here for next season.
  5. Got to disagree here, the league position isn't why Airdrie hasn't the greatest support, their support dropped off a cliff once they lost broomfield and were forced to move away for a few seasons. They lost supporters that never came back to the new ground, plus even when they were getting to cup finals and promotions they didn't have a huge support anyway.
  6. We go either of two ways, give Rennie time and hope he's like fergie and turns things around with a bit of time or we offer our next manager(s) an eight week rolling contract with minimum position and wins required in that time or their out....
  7. Just asking but how do we know Griffiths is on £1500 a week? Is that his basic or is there performance bonuses? Apart from on here I've not seen a figure mentioned. Performances are now having an effect with Saturday being the first time one of my mates isn't going another is working so if the weather's bad I probably watch livestream rather than sit myself at the game. The club needs to get results or not going to the odd game will become more common.
  8. Fair enough could be decent then the way Spiers had it on Twitter has it showing as "do you want to be rangers manager ", didn't listen because of the way the tweet read really put me off although it's obviously misleading.
  9. Looked at the Rennie interview and thought that could be interesting, then you see he's being asked questions like "do you want to be rangers manager?" Honestly the sports media in this country are a joke!
  10. Suggest the saints fans google Ruud Gullit, one of the world's greatest players racially abused at love street. A stain on Scottish football by the whole saints support... maybe best they don't bring up racism.
  11. To quote the old chewit adverts "it's a long shot but it might just work..."
  12. If we are to have any chance of scrapping into the playoffs then we need everyone pulling together, we can't afford ill disciplined sending offs and bookings to one of our better players, absolutely stupid. Yet again we struggled to make any chances and I thought Dowds did well with the limited service he got, would also say it looks like we'll miss Kenna. Defence has improved but still needs work and we really need a Scott McKenzie type in midfield. Rennie has a lot on his plate and hopefully can work a miracle with this squad to the end of the season.
  13. Who says the Goodwille talk is over for us? Should we look at Goodwille as a possible manager once his contract with Raith runs out in 2024?
  14. At a time when we have fans coming together in the fss, plus bairns for life and increasing fan involvement off the park, signing Goodwille would have drove a massive wedge to split our support. The damage done to raith both financially with lose of sponsors and the reputation of the club is nowhere near worth what he brings on the field.
  15. Wouldn't want to lose Morrison, Telfer or Nesbitt but you can't have a midfield full of the same type of player like that. Played in a balanced midfield each of them could really shine. If we do lose any of them then no doubt we'll all be on here in a few months complaining about how well they're doing in a higher league... Hall away is a good move for us and probably for him as well.
  16. Not only that but Miller and Kerr were both seen on the grassy knoll in Dallas...
  17. Would like to see Gallacher succeed at St.J but he was nowhere near ready for us, hope he doesn't end up one of those players who gets sign because of who he's played for rather than ability.
  18. Is disappointing we've sold Keena, would really have liked to see him get a good run in the team as there's definitely a player there. However as Saturday shows it doesn't matter who's up front if there's no service to them!
  19. Will see how the loan signing goes, hopefully a success but even more hopefully we'll address our defensive problems.
  20. Who's next for a rewriting of history? Hartley was great and nothing was his fault, never signed a player all forced on him, why he probably wasn't even picking the team! Mcglynn at Raith, great manager, why can we get someone like him look how they're going ok he had the league given to him while a whole point in front of the managerial dream team of M&M! Is scary how folk will rewrite history to suit what they're saying now.
  21. Big improvement from the last game v Airdrie, thought we deserved a draw. How anyone can watch us today and still say we should spend a transfer fee and wages on Goodwille and not strengthen the defence is beyond me! Made some great chances, matched Airdrie over the game but we are so easy to score against, they were up the park twice 2nd half and had 1 disallowed and scored the other. Mutch back and 1 or 2 defenders in and we have a chance of play offs. We just can't keep losing so many easy goals.
  22. Nothing like giving someone a chance especially a young guy. If Rennie has called Blair Sneddon back then he'll have seen more of him in training than any of us, maybe he's kicked on and will do a job for us, maybe not but give the guy a chance and don't write him off before being really seen for us. As for signings we just need to trust Rennie to improve the first team with his signings and if no-one comes in trust he can improve what we have.
  23. Think Ruth was hung out to dry by Sheerin, is a player there but he's young and developing. Quite similar to the end of last season when we were depending on young players who just weren't ready. Sometimes fans are to quick to judge, there's loads of examples where players take a bit of time to settle into a club unfortunately we're in such a bad way that time is one thing we don't have.
  24. Surely everyone must get the bigger picture here, thank god the 6 nations isn't affected just that awful working class football...
  25. Got to agree that although Goodwille is a good player the money would be better spent elsewhere, being honest if we get the ball into Dowds and Kenna we will score goals. Supply has been more of a problem and defence even more of a problem.
