  1. Have to say that the WOSFL site is among the least user-friendly I’ve been on.

Frankly it’s a shambles. Finding anything is difficult, seems no logic to the way it has been designed.

    An urgent rethink/upgrade is required.

To add insult to injury, emailed the given contacts on the website, only to find both email addresses bounced. FFS!!!

  2. That weasel Ferguson is a disgusting cheat. Ref bottled second yellow twice for him. McInnes tactics deplorable. Refs not strong enough in stopping Aberdeen fouling constantly throughout the game. Card count tells all. Nearly! No tears if we don't meet again till next season. Horrid side to watch. And Derek 'I thought' McInnes won't need to listen to  either.

This video should have been captioned with "Kenny Macintyre's descent into (further) madness".

The BBC have the audacity to warn Michael Stewart for no reason, yet still allow this guy to act like he's presenting "Sevcosound". As a presenter, he shouldn't even voice an opinion - but anything and everything to do with Sevco, he's quick to spout whatever the current fan narrative is.

    Ye ragin, Kenny? Aye?

A rhetorical question is not a question about the art of speaking effectively; it is a question that is asked for effect, rather than from a desire to know the answer. “Why did you stop beating your wife ?” is a rhetorical question.

A salesman calculatingly only asks questions designed to elicit Yes or No responses.   He has ploys to deal with either, leading, of course, to a point at which he can ask the closing of the deal question, such as, " Do you waant that item delivered tomorrow or would next Tuesday do ?"

If you had asked of the players and coaches, " Why have you played in the manner you did over the past 3 weeks?" you just might have got a reasoned response explaining that our planned strategy failed immediately we encountered the opposition.(or not).

Due to unforeseen circumstances I couldn't travel to the Renfrew match but did attend Winton's game against Maybole.   A Winton fan may well have asked the same question you posed, after all, Maybole have lost 70 goals from 29 matches ,an average of more than 3 goals per game, so they should have been 'humped', especially as Winton had Michael Wardrope in midfield (he had an OK game, one narrowly missed great shot from 30 yards out) ,   and Harpo ( David Smith) who limped off injured.   What did Maybole do differently for that match given that their giant defender took an ankle knock within 10 minutes and had to be replaced late in the match.   The answer is just what Junior football is all about, 'Uncertainty'.  This is derived from the Quantum Mechanics Theory whereby a particle such as an electron or proton can be in 2 different places at the same time whilst also simultaneously not existing.  This is analogous to Junior football whereby whenever a player passes a ball to his colleague who is no longer in a position to receive the pass it is generally intercepted by another player with a different coloured shirt, but Quantum Mechanics is colour blind and cares not who receives the ball so long as it stays within the orbit of the nucleus.   If an injection of extra energy is provided to the electrons / players the quantum effect is to immediately shift them to another orbit and conversely if some energy is depleted they shift to a slower orbit.

The state of play and the outcome is governed by the Uncertainty Principle of Quantum Physics and varies according to the position of the observer.   In short, you cannot accurately predict what the outcome will be, only that an outcome will occur.

You asked a Rhetorical Question yet you got an answer .... surely no-one needed to do that!

Your verbal diarrhoea may be almost in overflow mode, but your basic arithmetic leaves you floundering at the bottom of the class. 70 goals conceded in 29 matches would average out at 2.41 per game, some way short of your notional 'more than 3'. Brush up your basic skills before spouting in future.

  5. Brendan's opportunities??

    Can’t be Liverpool.

Can’t be Man Utd, Man City, Spurs, or Arsenal.

Chelsea a poss fit, but Abramovich usually aims for overseas coach profile. Ironically, his time at Chelsea as youth coach was as a result of Steve Clarke’s recommendation!! And he did graduate to be reserve team coach.

    That’s the top six covered.

Of the rest, only Everton & Newcastle could be considered bigger than Leicester, and both have money worries, or stadium worries, or dodgy owners. All the other so-called bigger clubs are currently languishing in the lower leagues e.g. Leeds, Villa, Forest, Derby, Wednesday, Sunderland.

Leicester have a wealthy owner family/corporation. Big crowds. Good stadium and facilities. A history.

Europa spot regular is realistic. FA Cup success realistic. League cup success realistic.

Dont you think in no small part that your players lack of discipline maybe comes from your manager?

His antics on the sidelines leave a lot to be desired at times, I get the whole passion thing and I get that Chris appears to be a nice guy away from the match but his antics during it can be way over the top and maybe not the best example to his players.

"Chris appears to be a nice guy away from the match" apart from when he's been barred from local pubs - more than once!!

Think it was McLean's commentary which said that there were "half hearted claims for a penalty". No mention that it was dive. Not covered by Sportscene. It was a shocker of a dive and going by his last few games it seems it seems that this is one of Defoe's attributes.

Against St Mirren, Michael Stewart tried to argue that Defoe "anticipated" the contact that never came and therefore it wasn't a dive. That's a nonsense argument however if this assessment was applied to last night's dive, then Defoe anticipated contact 5 mins before the defender even thought about applying it........

In fact, if you watch the incident closely, Defoe actually kicks out at Broadfoot with his right leg to 'manufacture' contact then dives. But that's ok according to Sportscene.
And by definition and precedent that will also be OK for the joke that is the Compliance Officer.

Signing Jermain Defoe and Steven Davis would help Rangers "push Celtic all the way", says his former manager Harry Redknapp.

Defoe, 36, is set to join Steven Gerrard's side on loan from Bournemouth, while Southampton's Davis, 34, is expected to return to Ibrox.

Many players have come up from England with big reputations but struggled in Scotland, with Joey Barton, Carlton Cole and Niko Kranjcar all failing to make an impact in recent seasons.

However, Redknapp believes Defoe would thrive in Glasgow.

Redknapp said: "I go to watch Bournemouth most weeks. It's been difficult for him, with [Callum] Wilson and [Joshua] King who play up front; they've both been outstanding so he hasn't got the games. He wants to play, he's one of them boys.

"Rangers and Celtic, they're a big pull in world football, they're two massive clubs as everybody knows who understands the game. So it's a big move for him and a big move for Rangers.

"It's good to see Scottish football again having two great teams at the top. They've really got a competition on their hands again which is good."
