  1. Thanks for the information. I assume that Livi must still have enough money to pay the wages, as they are able to put a team out.
  2. Who are their players? Out of interest, does anyone know who their starting eleven were against Falkirk yesterday?
  3. Give the guy a break. He obviously heard someone using the word 'meanders', and thought it would be cool to slip it into his vocabulary. This is not a rare occurence on P&B. Maybe the guy he heard using it had a speech impediment.
  4. They've updated the first team squad info. http://www.livingstonfc.co.uk/team.php They do indeed look better than Rovers and Ayr (on paper) as I've at least heard of some of them. Roddy McKenzie Danny Griffin Chris Innes Joe Hamill David Winters Armand One (he of the ill-fitting shorts) Those guys are okay players (I remember seeing Hamill play for Hearts) but I'm hardly shitting myself at the thought of Rovers playing their team. Especially as their players are probably moe concerned with whether they still have jobs and who their next clubs will be.
  5. Their website is still optimistic! The fan who buys a Livi season ticket at the moment is a super optimist. http://www.livingstonfc.co.uk/news_070709_1.php Someone must still be getting paid as it was last updated on 7th July. How many first team players are still signed for Livi? I'm not sure how accurate their website is. They still list Leigh Griffiths, which makes me think it's not terribly accurate. Is Joe Hamill still at Livi? http://www.livingstonfc.co.uk/team.php If Livi manage to start the season then it probably is a bonus for Rovers.
  6. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - I knew it would be a no brainer but this movie took the piss. If Team America hadn't been made before this film, I would have thought this was the film they were taking the piss out of. They even went to Paris and Egypt and destroyed them! America f**k yeh! Utter Shite. The first film i've contemplated walking out of since The Blair Witch Project - 2/10 ...I wanted to see Public Enemies but I was talked into watching this bag of shite.
  7. Maybe the SFL don't want to be the ones who are seen as having 'killed' a football club. They would probably rather leave that work to others. The local council are probably in the same boat as the SFL, in that they don't want to be seen as the one who killed the local football club. It will be interesting to see what's happens after the 30th June. It's getting awfully near the start of the new season.
  8. I think the training tops are a bit reminiscent of the Falkirk tops with the jaggy bits (early '90s?). I like red, so I might even buy one .
  9. That's spooky! I was going to post the exact same thing. Are they?
  10. Again, sounds similar to postings on raith Fantalk a few years back. Those in denial will keep dreaming of the next white knight.
  11. This thread reminds me of our struggles. We also had deluded fans like yourself who wanted to blame the Supporters Trust, rather than laying the blame where it belonged, with the current owners. If the present owner has proved himself to be incapable of running the club, then why perpetuate his ownership? ...Anyway, good luck to Livi for the future.
  12. If there are only 1000 away tickets they should be fairly safe on the 'bother' front.
  13. I'll be watching on the telly. We are Leeds! The police will be loving the Leeds v Millwall play-offs. Think of all the overtime they'll get.
  14. Is anyone on here entering The Great North Run?
  15. I got a coupon up yesterday (Aberdeen, East Fife, Peterhead) so I stuck a double on Leeds and Chelsea. Looking at the state of the pitch at Histon this could end up 0-0. That was a shocking miss by Bechio after a good cross by Snodgrass.
  16. Leeds are 4/6 for the Histon game! Histon's ground looks about the size of Stranraer. The tug on the heart strings pishy report with ducks and the local shops and the likes made the place look tiny. C'mon Leeds! Into these bumpkins! Shitty weather for kick off. Who decided that having a football match at 12 noon was a good idea?
  17. Because i'm difficult to buy for. So my family will be buying me Band of Brothers along with The Simpsons Halloween Specials, Peep Show latest series and possible a Rovers top. I could buy these things myself but that would leave me unwrapping a chocolate orange at xmas, when they're passing round the presents.
  18. I had the video box set a few years ago. I'm hopefully getting the DVD box set for Christmas. Fantastic series. The interviews with the veterans make the series.
  19. We've got a caravan park (chalet park now) across the road from Smeaton (dodgy council estate) so somebody must like the place. Fife has loads of nice places along the coast. As you leave Aberdour for Burntisland, you get some great views across the Forth. If I ever come into a suitable amount of money, i'm buying one of the houses down by the sea at Aberdour (don't know what the present owners will think of that).
  20. Well obviously for a posh farmer type from Perth those places are ghastly. But there are places that aren't so shite, other than Anstruther, like: Culross Limekilns Pittenweem Elie Crail St Monans Cellardyke St Andrews Newport Kinghorn Aberdour Cupar Falkland Kirkcaldy, Dunfermline and the likes aren't that bad either. So on the whole it's ok, with some wee shitey villages which make up about 25% of it.
  21. My grampa was from Cumnock. Always seemed ok when I was wee and the pits were open. Then I grew up, Maggie happened, and the place was an utter shitehole. They still had boot boys when everywhere else had casuals. The row of shops on the scheme my grampa lived on were all derelict, bar one which had steel wire shutters up everywhere at all times.
