  1. If he had just waited until today, he’d likely have got away with it. Joey is clearly a man with too much time on his hands and a strong whiff of going off the rails.
  2. In the past I have actively avoided turning up early for some games if I know in advance there is a minutes silence. If I’m feeling low I don’t need that sort of stuff in my life. I go to the football to see my friends and to watch football, hopefully football that is decent to watch, rather than some of the awful kick and rush football that Scotland is famed for. The clapping at a certain minute thing just leaves me confused. If you’re not in the know and people just start clapping, then you have that dilemma of whether to clap away, not even knowing what you’re clapping for, or whether to do nothing. I can understand if it’s a prominent club official, player or some young fan who has died. It’s just that if a few of them die in a short space of time it can feel like you are attending funerals every other week. It’s a tricky subject.
  3. I’m watching MOTD2 now and I noticed McBurnie was heavily involved in the goals. Has he got his mojo back? Could he be called up for the June friendlies? Possible late addition to the Euros squad?
  4. Call him up. Portland Timbers are no slouches.
  5. It’s just a shame that Hamilton couldn’t get near your goalkeeper again. At least we’d have a wee video clip to cheer us up. I wish we had spent some more of our boundless heaps of cash on some central defenders.
  6. @velo army this is the thread you want. For those of our wonderful community who are not fans of minutes silences or minute applauses.
  7. Just watched the highlights. Pretty much all United but that’s a soft penalty. How our manager could watch that first half then not change things at HT or before that is strange.
  8. That’s true. Hopefully Ian Murray can find a way to keep it going with the personnel available.
  9. Tinkering is an issue, but the biggest issue we’ll have in the remaining games is that Murray and Watson are the only two central defenders the manager seems to trust and they have both been in the wars and may not be available. If we somehow manage to get promoted with the defensive issues we have it’ll be a minor miracle.
  10. With our deficiencies in central defence, it was a bit cavalier to not start one of our actual defensive midfielders today. Now we need to try and find a way to win the next two homes games against Ayr and Airdrie.
  11. I’m fairly confident, but I’m sitting in the house listening to the game on Raith TV audio stream. Team line ups out shortly.
  12. That’s what I thought. Didn’t Dundee United used to be one of Scotland’s biggest clubs? Changed days.
  13. Haven’t you got recent and previous ‘beef’ with the bold Tam? I have to do these mandatory Diversity, Equality and Inclusion courses at work, so I feel his pain. Fight the power, Tam! Actually, just sit there, let it wash over you, then explode on air some day in the near future. That’ll be good radio.
  14. I ordered this. For some reason it wasn’t allowing me to order stickers. Stickers thing sorted. Me and the boy (more so him) are excited at the imminent arrival of these.
  15. I’m looking forward to the Finland game. A Friday night in June, hopefully decent weather - although I thought the same when I was buying Georgia tickets last year - and a chance to get the kilt/shorts on. Everyone happy because we’re playing Germany in the opener in a weeks time. What’s not to like? As long as they don’t pick up injuries to key players and don’t actually lose, then everyone goes away happy.
  16. Can’t see us having the money to change that many of the squad. Surely if you’re a player you would rather win the league than not win it? You’ll either be playing in the Premier League or you’ll have a good chance of a move to a team who are looking to challenge for the Premier League.
  17. It was good seeing that footage from the ‘90s of Dair scoring at Tannadice. I see that Crawford and Dair have just taken over at Cowdenbeath as the new management team.
