  1. Big ups @AndyRoss battering through these podcasts. New one up with #TONY, Jim Griffin yesterday...
  2. I'm not sure that's actually the case tbh. He's already had his stint at Oldham which regardless of the circumstances still shows up as 21.2% win rate on his CV but this is his first proper job. Looking at our previous managers McCall had the opportunity to leave but fucked it - even then Sheffield United were League 1 at the time. Brown and McGhee left for Aberdeen but you probably need to go back to Davies to find a manager who left us to go on to manage at a "higher" level through his career (inexplicably in his case - the absolute weirdo he is). If anything O'Neil's probably a good example of what making a go of the NI job could do for Robinson...would he be likely to get a gig like Stoke directly from Fir Park? Probably not. Not that I'm packing his bags for him or anything, it'd be a boot in the baws especially if we've got a couple signed up on pre-contracts and are speaking to others about extensions but in terms of the model at the club in terms of being a platform and everything then Motherwell to International Manager is definitely in line with the upward career trajectory we're keen to bang on about.
  3. Having read the comments from Dempster about Hibs I wouldn't be surprised if that's how it went. "We believe the biggest issue facing the game in Scotland is not reconstruction, it’s getting our whole game back up and running." suggests that the Reconstruction "Task Force" have pretty much just been given their colouring books and told to go and keep themselves busy. Also, reading our update it seems pretty at odds with how Budge is approaching things ie: "temporary reconstruction", "quick fix" etc. I may be doing her a disservice but I don't think Budge really comes across as the sort of blue sky thinker who's going to come up with the sort of proposal that will "make the game better in the long term".
  4. Not having read the Doncaster interviews I'd guess the template in terms of a model that has worked would be something like the iFollow thing the EFL uses. https://www.efl.com/iFollow/
  5. Agreed. A lot of what she said seems to put Hibs on the same page as us going by the statement/update Motherwell put out last night. Which is nice. It kind of feels like the Joint Response Group that Dempster's a part of should be the one that's being prioritised - for exactly the reasons she outlines.
  6. Tbh, it's worth taking a look at the actual quote: "Any time soon"...fair enough. It'd be absolutely mental to do so and puts a tin lid on the nonsense idea that we'd have been able to play out the season. In a way it validates the SPFL position to concede the ball was on the slates and call the league as early as they did. Does it inherently rule out "closed door" matches 6 or 7 months down the line? Probably not.
  7. That #timstwitterlisteningparty was tons of fun last night.
  8. 100%...I'm kind of in the same place tbh. The other comment that interested me was him at 13:33 min after he mentions O'Hara and drops in "and another couple of players perhaps that we had last year that we're still looking at...players that we had on loan." The past tense seemed relevant. Depends what he means by "last year" but as I'm listening to @AndyRoss and @thisGRAEME's podcast review of the season and the chat about Devante Cole's goal against Rangers it put me in mind that Cole's contract with Doncaster is up in the summer. Would that be a massive surprise?
  9. 18 minute interview with Robinson on BT Sport earlier. He confirms we've got a couple of pre-contracts done and there are a couple at the club that we're trying to get on an extra year. Also suggests that we actually got some of our business done before the whole RONA-19 thing kicked off. I don't know if he's at it or not but he's saying that he can't believe the names haven't leaked yet. The transfer stuff is around 11:55 min. Also some interesting stuff just before that about us being a more "attractive" club to players and agents these days. As ever, he speaks well.
  10. Aye. It's worth mentioning that the Podcast Twitter has shifted to a new handle and @AndyRoss is doing a run of pods with in support of Scottish Association for Mental Health so it's worth chucking a couple of quid their way if you're able to. +1 on the Terrace Patreon podcasts with @thisGRAEME being a great listen btw.
  11. Tbh, our scouting/targets ATM seem to be very much along the lines of "people who have played with/are pals of Declan Gallagher and/or Tony Watt".
