  1. It’s probably a decent result under the circumstances but we probably also want to beat teams like Cove when they are significantly weakened. My main concern is that we have conceded 2 points to Hamilton who I think will be the team to beat. They appear to have battered Kelty in Fife today and I couldn’t see us doing the same based on last season and the limited improvements so far. However as many have said, it’s early days and I’m happy that we got something out of a game we could easily have lost…..
  2. Does Agyeman have a twin brother or are we just cloning him?…
  3. Agree. Maybe you could refer that to our current board?…
  4. I’m starting to find a lot of these comments really irritating. We have a new board that some on here are mates with so let’s just let them get on with it irrespective of whether they are acting in the best interests of those that are willing to part with their hard earned cash each week to support their objectives. Is that what we are all just to do now? Never mind, we beat Annan Athletic on Saturday so the world is all ok….FFS……
  5. What previous boards did or did not do has absolutely no relevance here. The issue at hand here is related to the performance and conduct of the current board and whether we can go forward with trust. At the moment members rightfully have reason for concern, and until the board come out and actually explain the logic for a decision which conflicts with the whole concept of FSS, the concern remains entirely valid…..
  6. I actually think if you look at the state of the other groups and the remaining fixtures that five of the other seven groups could have a second placed team finish on 8 points or less. So I think what we have to do now is try to thump Peterhead at home in the hope that 8 points and goal difference would be adequate. Of course there may be a scenario where we finish top of our group but it’s looking pretty unlikely……
  7. I think Saturday was even worse. We lost a player who could be useful tonight and even left a Partick a huge gap to hammer the ball into the net….
  8. Exactly the point I made on Saturday. This pissing about is costing us dearly and may now mean that we don’t qualify….
  9. Just under 500 of us today but definitely a happy bunch. By far the better team for the bulk of the match but our inability to clear our lines and our determination to play pass out from the back definitely cost us today. Also, why can’t some of our players understand that when you are down to 10 men, hold onto the ball for as long as you can. We kept giving away cheap balls and eventually it caught up with us. Despite these negative thoughts I have to say, having been at both games, today was night and day compared to Spartans. We will need at least 2 points from Dundee U to realistically qualify. Won’t be easy…
  10. Glad to see that taking a break after that Airdrie game had some positive impact on your mindset SB. Although I do actually agree with where you’re coming from…….
  11. There’s an awful lot of talk about playing quality football but I think people on here are confusing the issue when they raise it. The issue last night wasn’t about how attractive the football was to watch, it was that we lacked any cutting edge up front and frankly was it not for a lucky break in the last couple of minutes, I don’t think many that were there really thought that we would regain the lead in the last 30 minutes. As I said, it would be wrong to judge on a single game, that we actually won too, but it wasn’t a great pointer for the season ahead…..
  12. Problem is, a lot of us could see that his approach was not working last night! Question is whether that’s just early season bedding in or what to expect in coming weeks. If it's the latter the wolves will not just be circling…..
  13. Boring it may be but anyone attending the game last night could see little difference in set up and approach from last season and it did not augur well for the season ahead. I can understand the concerns although I agree we do need to give the team a chance for now…..
  14. I think the aggressive Spartans fans last night must have had an average age of about 12. Still annoying though. Incidentally, can anyone explain why those of us in a crowd of 874 last night had to stand in a massive queue to scan our prebought ticket, whilst those that paid at the gate could just walk up and get in? Nearly missed KO. Completely baffling!
  15. I’d keep him for now as I think, on the whole, he’s brought in some decent personnel. Its his tactical nous I have concerns about, so if we start badly next season I’d give him the push and aim to bring in someone more tactically astute. We should have decent enough players to get to the Xmas transfer window in contention……
  16. Extra time will suit Hamilton in terms of fitness. Airdrie need to score in the first half of ET then try to hang in there imo….
  17. Oh I enjoyed that! Darrah MacAnthony, how does it feel to be on the end of a robbery for a change? GIRFUY
  18. Alloa 2-1 Dunfermline Clyde 0-2 Montrose Edinburgh 3-2 Airdrie Peterhead 0-2 Falkirk Qos 1-1 Kelty H
  19. Semi finals involving one half of the old firm don’t usually sell out hampden. What’s the point being made here?…
  20. It’s current laws, including VAR that’s the fucking problem. Common sense decision making is finished…
  21. Fucking common sense. It’s ball to hand not hand to ball….
  22. For how many years have I said VAR is the ruination of this game? f**k off
