  1. That's the one criticism I have of Game of Thrones. I was spoiled cause I watched the first three seasons on Blu Ray, watching it week to week is suffering. It is easier with that though, because the writing is much stronger. I don't think you can do it with The Walking Dead in its current form.
  2. That's just as problematic as you'd be getting f**k all told each episode. There's just too many groups. They should tie Carol into Beth's story this episode by telling whatever happens to Carol and Daryl. Then the next episode could bring Daryl with Carol and Beth into the main group. That way, you've only got the main group and the group who were heading to Washington (or whatever their "mission" is now). Swapping episodes between two groups for stories would be alright, IMO.
  3. Bullshit. I'm not saying Sky are in the wrong, but it's clearly them who's holding it up. As TheGreenMonster says, they have exclusive rights to the PPV and WWE are trying to put out a product which violates that. Without another contract being negotiated, surely the only way forward is us getting the Network without live PPVs?
  4. I'm not defending the film - it's a garbage piece of shit - but events that happened in his past would still affect him subconsciously and whatnot. And he starts to remember things during the course of the franchsie, so he'd start to remember the stuff that he's "forgotten".
  5. Aye, I didn't even realise he was doing it "for charity". All I heard was typical "please folks" type patter, so I assume he was a regular ol' jakey. One of the guys I was with did say that he didn't think the guy needed the money, so I guess that makes sense if he was claiming to be doing it for some charity.
  6. It being $9.99 here too is tremendous. I'm definitely signing up come Monday.
  7. Some changes have happened. They're giving new subscribers November for free if they sign up now and they've dropped the six month subscription thing.
  8. Not really, the Infinity War story is huge. It going over 2 films is a good thing rather than it being rushed over 1. It will be done in one film, the 2 Avengers films are for other things. They announced the full act three. Captain America: Civil War - May 6, 2016 Doctor Strange - November 4, 2016 Guardians of the Galaxy 2 - May 5, 2017 Thor: Ragnorok - July 28, 2017 Black Panther - November 3, 2017 Captain Marvel - JULY 6, 2018 Avengers: Infinity War, Part 1 - May 2018 Inhumans - November 2, 2018 Avengers: Infinity War, Part 2 - May 2019 http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=56670
  9. Why the f**k is Ryback on this list? More importantly, why are any of Cesaro, Ziggler or Neville not on it? Itami and Balor (Kenta and Devitt) will be there too, assuming they remain in the WWE.
  10. Good choice. There was rumours of Keanu Reeves playing him and that would've been disastrous. Joaquin Phoenix would've also been ace but I understand the commitment was too much for him. I'd heard similar things about talks with Cumberbatch but I guess they worked those out. Aye, good casting. Although I'd maybe have put him as older than Cumberbatch. I suppose they could make him look older.
  11. Season one's ending was pretty good, I thought. I thought 3's was a bit meh and too conventional, for my liking.
  12. He said it to them, did he not?
  13. Yeah. I remember missing it a few times cause I'd stay up till midnight on the Friday and I'd wake up at like 1pm and be raging I'd missed it (and that my brother/sister didn't wake me up for Smackdown!)
  14. Not too many. I don't think it was anywhere near as many as when ICW do an ABC show in Glasgow. I assume Liverpool Academy isn't the same size as Glasgow's, cause it seemed smaller. Aye, Grado was well over. As was Drew. Aye, cheers. I enjoyed him. He was pretty well over and had bags of charisma. Lots of wee nods to guys like Savage and Flair. Smoking hot bird with him as well.
  15. Liverpool was pretty good on Saturday night. I was horrendously hungover so that probably tainted it somewhat but still enjoyable. I found the difference in crowd very interesting. Loads of weird chants. A lot of stuff toward Sha Samuels and Jack Gallacher for being from London and Manchester, respectively. A Boris Johnson chant for Jackie Polo and a "briefcase w****r" one for Renfrew (has that been done in Scotland before? I've only been to Still Smokin' since he won it) What was weird, was that a bunch of the wrestlers were making really high pitched "ahh"s before hitting some strikes. Kenny Williams and Stevie Boy did it a bunch in their opener and BT Gunn did it a couple of times against Drew. The crowd really latched onto BT's, any time he went for something they'd preempt it and eventually started a "BT AHHH" chant. Any one know who the English guy they brought out to make the Zero G (Williams vs Stevie) into a threeway was? He was kinda balding, had a bunch of tassels (prompting "tasseltastic" and "tasselmania" chants) and kinda had some Fandango-like aura. He was pretty good. They're doing rematches of Sha Samuels/Grado and Sumerian Death Squad vs NAK (Darkside and Divers) at the Barras next month, and Dallas confirmed Wolfgang vs BT Gunn too.
  16. Great episode, but their season premieres and finales are always fantastic. I was talking to my brother, he's just recently watched it and he pointed out to me, the first season is 6 episodes. I couldn't believe it when he told me cause I remember it being so much longer but everything up to the CDC happened in those 6 episodes. Now, I don't know this for sure but it wouldn't surprise me if the network or someone like that has told them to make it into a 13 (season 2) and 16 (3-5) episode seasons and that's why there's a fair amount of filler and pretty shite dialogue. The difference between season 1 and season 2 is massive, in terms of how slow paced it is.
  17. Yes, they basically don't want a situation like CM Punk where he owns the name beforehand, uses it in WWE then can leave with it and he's more famous now because of the WWE exposure. Obviously Indy guys want to be able to use their name if they leave WWE.
  18. To be fair, Jarrett was well deserving of some of that while in TNA. It's not as if it's like Russo booking himself to win, Jarrett is a decent enough heel.
  19. That's not when we're getting it, that's when they're gonna announce our launch date. So it could be even later than that! If it's a dedicated channel then I'll be doing the proxy route, On Demand is the only service I want given I'd only be watching through my computer and I want to be able to choose and watch what I want, when I have time.
  20. I agree, Perkins was fantastic but Vaughn did a good job filling big shoes.

    Gotham

I seem to be slightly less pleased than most on this thread, after the first two episodes. (spoilers on both episodes)
  22. Pretty much this. Efron and Franco were great in it. And the fucking De Niro scene.
  23. Aries isn't the best, either in the ring or on the mic but he's comfortably good enough to go to WWE. But he wouldn't rise above midcard in WWE. I'd love for him to be, but he's probably about on the same level as a Ziggler and he's not getting pushed above midcard. (and Aries is probably far more troublesome backstage)
