  1. Appreciate i'm not there but I can't see how the pitch would still be frozen by 3pm. Also find it a bit strange that Stirling have covers, but didn't use them as, in their words, it was too cold for them to be effective. Must be pretty shite covers if they aren't effective at a few degrees below zero, however i'm sure they would still have reduced the level of frost that got into the ground and would have allowed it to thaw in time. Actively avoiding protecting your pitch not once, but twice, should carry a penalty imo.
  2. Very long pitch inspection. I'm assuming that means the concern with the pitch is that it's heavy in places rather than frozen.
  3. I fear I will regret asking this, but what is a bum gun?
  4. Most are, mind, but there are some that will state "Valid on xxx only" which are not.
  5. We're pretty shielded from this up here due to Scotrail being the operator of almost every train, but no, not all tickets are valid on all trains.
  6. Motherwell is the only station between Edinburgh Waverley and Glasgow Central they call at. Something doesn't add up to make it the innocent mistake you believed it to be. RE the ticket inspector not just having s word - Scotrail would get no money from their journey if they had a Cross Country ticket so can understand them not allowing them to travel on their ticket. That doesn't give him the right to confiscate the ticket though. That he did suggests maybe it was an old ticket and they were at it.
  7. I agree the conductor has gone OTT but maybe he’s dealt with them on more than one occasion and felt it wasn’t quite as innocent a mistake as it appeared to you. I don’t believe Scotrail employees can sell Cross Country tickets so if your assumption is correct then they surely must have bought it on a Cross Country train?
  8. Presumably a Cross Country employee, in which case it's not a f**k up?
  9. I had noticed that when I checked a few weeks but dismissed it as a mistake
  10. You can already have terracing. Even in Europe (as Union Berlin showed last season). I'm genuinely stunned QP have not built a simple stadium with their wanky Royal Box, a stand along one side and covered terracing behind each goal tbh.
  11. You didn't do it before so what's changed? You won't be on 25 game unbeaten runs in the Championship or Premiership which will lead to some/many of the fair weather fans drifting away again. Clubs like yourselves (and us) would be much better off if the fans that do appear when we do well were to come all the time but they just don't.
  12. He really hasn't. Looking at your team's results not only are you getting the job done, you're playing good football and are a constant threat. We slog our way through games with no obvious gameplan and never looking like we will click for a full 45 / 90. He has no clue how to change a game, and makes baffling subs that often weaken the side on the park. Our squad strength means we're 2nd in the league in spite of John Rankin, not because of him.
  13. Got a notification this morning to inform me that a timetable change meant I'd no longer be able to make a connection in Mannheim and, as a result, I can now use my ticket on any train. Checked with DB this meant I could use any route available for the entire journey (and not just a different connection from Mannheim to Stuttgart) and was told yes, so can now take a faster route from Haan-Gruiten that was around 2.5x the price when I booked. I'm taking that as a result.
  14. That blue thing will take someone's eye out
  15. I'm not saying there wasn't a good cheer (you can hear it in the background) but I am saying the area of the ground where that video was taken is so quiet. Given what's at stake i'd be going off my tits at that point.
  16. I know @Bairnardo will probably not agree with this, but with the result last night we really are in the last chance saloon already. If (and it's a big if) we can win every game until we meet on the 17th of Feb then beat you, and in the interim period you drop a couple of points somewhere (I'm looking at Montrose at home or Cove away as the best hope), then we'll be 3 behind you with the game at NDP to go. With the form you are in I really can't see any other scenario where we get a shot at clawing you back in. I know Accies fans are pissed off with Rankin (and they are right to be) but Falkirk are on pace for 93 points this season. That's a ridiculous total for one club to achieve, never mind wanting two teams to be at that level. The challenge for Accies will be building and maintaining confidence and momentum to not go into the playoffs on the back foot. We're good enough to get through them IMO.
  17. OK but the microphone doesn't even pick up a decent cheer from anywhere close to them.
  18. Given the context of that goal, that's an incredible lack of passion and excitement from whoever is filming that btw. f**k me!
  19. I haven't seen enough of Falkirk to make a fair comment on that tbh. I wasn't meaning that to come across as me saying you don't have a better squad btw (all the evidence points to that being the case), only that I don't think it's as much better as the league table would suggest.
  20. I think the gap in managerial ability is far greater than the gap in squad strength tbh.
