Didn't noise me up just wondered where you got your info from? I don't think they have anywhere near 33 players,I'm well aware every team has an injured list but WW been using 20s kids on the bench as well as on the park so defo not got 33 players. I don't think they're in freefall and im realistic enough that whilst they may never see the LL ever again i think they are or at least minimum should be a bottom 6 premier top 6 1st division team. The reasoning why they've dropped down the leagues has been done a few times on here wi a multitude of excuses. My reasoning is a mixture of having to find funding for ground improvements (they own the park so more difficult to maintain) and the bigger supported junior clubs coming through the pyramid. When they were the only senior team in Midlothian they could attract players mainly with the attraction of the Scottish Cup. That carrot went long ago as more and more clubs got licensed which as I've stated before, both associations merging could only have been for the good of the game. Didn't realise the Leith lad was on loan, I guess dropping down the leagues is another lad just wanting to play wi his mates as could play higher than the EoSFL div 1. Regardless, like you say that's a game changer for Leith.

Out of interest who have WW spent "generously" on ? I expected them to be higher too but been hit by the treatment table. I wasn't expecting promotion given the teams that came up but certainly wasn't expecting a relegation battle. If you read back on the thread a 4th relegation was mentioned not that long ago. Any reasoning as to why Arniston will survive? Took a pumping at WW recently. Leith have improved because of the goal machine centre forward from Tranent. Maybe they spent "generously ". Not sure about the students or Lochore.

He's the only Uni fan on here just saying how he feels ffs

Considering he's about the only person that's took an active interest in the Uni on here I think he's entitled to his opinion whether you think its pathetic, uncalled for, disrespectful or not.

KLM cancelled our flight back from Munich. Managed to get a direct flight back with Lufthansa which worked out slightly cheaper.

Definate scam. I had this too. I rang booking.com for verification.

Wi a name like Wallsend surprised the likes of the Stan or Benfield couldn't entice ye closer to home. On saying that they're both well down the tiers. Agree about Gateshead they need a proper ground not a Meadowbank type stadium which I can't see happening anytime soon. Good luck following Berwick always a good day out there.

Lowland League General Discussion
newcastle broon replied to FairWeatherFan's topic in Lowland League
Was nae being arsey and hardly a troll thought it was a LL discussion thread. Only going on what I was told by somebody at the match. Games are won on the park not by the thousands of us experts on the sidelines. If a team wi a shite support can sustain it on and off the park then good luck to them, there should nae be a problem. Gretna and Ed Uni might be out there depth at minute but they will fall eventually. That's what the pyramid is about though there should be more slots available for teams to pro/regress. For the record there were decent crowds at Newtongrange v WW and WW v Arniston recently, maybes leagues should be regionalised at lower levels -
Lowland League General Discussion
newcastle broon replied to FairWeatherFan's topic in Lowland League
Out of interest what was your crowd on Saturday against one of the bigger supported teams in the league? Around 250 I heard. I'd be more worried about the folk that have deserted Central Park. -
Nitten will need to up their game if they want promotion. WW more than matched them on the park for long periods last Saturday. A couple of breaks mightve seen a different scoreline but sometimes when yer near the bottom luck is against you. St Andrews scraped past WW wi a penalty the previous game. Small margins and aw that.

Celtic and Hearts B Teams in Lowland League?
newcastle broon replied to falski's topic in Lowland League
Any reasoning why Celtic were playing or allowed to play tonight when they can't play Tranent? I thought the winter break had started? Another piss take from the LL. -
Unless you went 1st thing in the morning with LNER from Leeds then you would need to change trains at York. Lumo also only run King's Cross to Edinburgh. Cross country are every hour direct, like you state decent if quiet, that's why I recommend checking whether it's a single train or two joined together. That is a game changer. Trans Pennine may well have a service direct from Leeds but would be very few if any. Otherwise again a change at York is required.

Is it a totally different Edinburgh City to the one that got promoted out the LL like? Shame was a decent club and done the hospitality after matches so would've thought was associated wi the club. On a separate note their stovies were braw -

Ha back to "we" supporting City again are we ? Sad to see the club in such a state after the small band of committee and fans got you up from the lower leagues. I hope there are better days ahead. -
