  1. Not condoning any of the abuse that's been directed towards Ben from a keyboard but unfortunately that's the modern world, idle threats and words if said face to face they'd probably need their nappy changed. I personally think the no show after a defeat to Annan probably will make more keyboards rattle than if he did show up as planned pre the Annan defeat. A bit of banter goes a long way with the supporters even the keyboard warriors.
  2. All the dinks are free....wait that's club Tropicana
  3. Portugal is my home now. The Dundee utd fan refused to wear a blue one
  4. Another great listen again... The cowardice shown by the Hamilton pod team tho I'll guess a few more that were at the first game at the TFS will share same approach and fail to show also, poor show for them not to show anger, delusion or eat humble pie on the podcast. Through gritted teeth I congratulated Dunfermline last season, tho the day of them getting the trophy I got my Dunfermline mates wife and 6 other girls in Falkirk tops. My mate remembers that more than receiving the league trophy Also her son messaged her not to come home
  5. My pars mate messages me, can't believe we are gonna pass you as you go up. I replied surely play offs at worst, he replied we are going straight down. The ability to score goals is their problem, you can't score you are heading one way
  6. Initial thought it would be good. i kick started brain and then thought, nope. Refs and var are under enough strain/abuse without adding another unknown ingredient to the game. The card system ain't broken, don't break it
  7. 2yr ago today we signed Leigh Griffiths on 20k a week with us I heard I never really rated McManus till he signed for us Dumbarton
  8. I don't think Donaldson, Miller and Henderson were in the happy to see go club, Lang was out injured likewise Spencer also at Raith and they had riches in their dept or wanted a decent wage of the bill, similar to Ross. Pars recruitment has been woeful. They have no one to put the ball in the net when they were playing well, that's hurting them now. It wouldn't surprise me to see them in the play offs...not top one. My pars mate suggested they could avoid play offs and go straight down
  9. As for ultras violence Ive seen more violence in a supermarket. The hamilton version last time through there would've shat it if their form teacher turned up. Yep the nonsense needs to stop but I seen similar with German ones in Portugal. They acted all Billy bigbaws, got a little out of turn with other folk in bar but waited to smash a glass and throw a chair towards a safe area outside the bar. They outnumbered rest of the people in the bar but decided to act all hard outside bar.
  10. Spine cf to cm to st is signed up for next season We will need to fill gk and wherever we get weakened Morrison,Ross and any players we would keep decide to leave but Lang, Donaldson, Spencer, Henderson,Maciver and I'll say it Nesbitt won't look out of place league up. I do think Mcglynn, if still here needs to be less stubborn on formations tho. We are in a league where we can play below our potential and win or not lose. We won't have that luxury a league up week in week out and the recent cup games for me has shown he is stubborn to play one formation. I very much will wait and see with new right back. He has come from a level very few make that rise up. We gave the boy from camelon 2yr I think and you know the rest. I trust McGlynn's record but getting a first team player from that level to league one above to rise happens rarely nowadays Main stand be enough for you both, even with 1000comps A lot of the Welsh still think its in Wales. I caught last 20 mins of Saturdays rugby with a good few of my Welsh friends and that was their opinion., only one followed the Welsh football tho. Tbf I have zero interest in rugby, my friend Stuart left my side as I think I was asking to many questions on the funny shaped ball sport
  11. Give the posted highlights of Dunfermline v Morton a watch Pars took a point of DUFC away, Morton must be top end of being a form team in the champ. I realise that's it's 9 mins of highlights but if that's the upper standard with long throws and kicking the ball towards the moon, we will be more than ok. Back to league business please, I personally blame Mcglynn for Edinburgh and Bonnyrigg, his plan b was out for Edinburgh - failed, His plan b was needed for Bonnyrigg with two up top for starters. Alloa A+ performance and TNS one of those games if we had scored in the first half who knows what would've happened. I don't think there is a massive gap with what we have and the championship, only thing that concerns me is sticking rigid to the same thing all game when it's clear it needs changed.
  12. A large portion of our team that went up in Billy Lamont promotion season were signed from the juniors. George Watson, Roddy Manley, Peter Hetherston and I'm sure Alex Rae was signed from juniors too A hell of a lot has changed since them days back then. The squads were for 1st team and reserve fixtures. There were no age restriction leagues, simply was first team and reserves. Money also, who would've thought a player could earn more lowland level than he could playing 2nd tier level football. It's worth keeping an eye on that level but recent players we have had from that level recently have not made any impact. The boness striker that scored 50/60 goals and got a 3.5 yr contract at Kelty is now back at lowland level after half a season. We have a greater success rate with academy drop outs, I couldn't name you the last junior player we signed who made an impact, probably going back to those days in the 80s
  13. Only one league defeat for us when Morrison has scored is wild considering him being in the worst season I've witnessed as a Falkirk fan, in fact that league game was in that season Morrison has been a big player for us, game winner, game changer and not afraid to get stuck in. I very much doubt he'll be here next season, young family double or possibly more his current wage is a no brainer to make as much as he can. I doubt he will leave football as a player with enough to retire on but he can make himself very comfortable. He's been a decent player even through the shit years
  14. Stokes first game at Ibrox, I came away thinking he was far too slight. I met him in behind the wall after one of his hat-tricks with him sporting a black eye with me being such a fan boy Jason Lee being our top goal scorer is freaky, first game v Inverness we thought we'd signed a player as I stayed in the stenhousemuir cricket club till closing time then back to a friend's for drinks. Latapy tho was an absolute joy to watch, I remember him ripping Barry Ferguson a new arsehole at Ibrox after he came back from his EPL journey, Latapy was 37/38. He was another signing that made you think more of his off field exploits, his age and how his career hadn't really went well after Hibs. Yogi probably takes a bit credit in how to manage him
  15. Still shouldn't be making 5 subs like that for me. 6 changes, taking out you're creative wide players all 4 wide ones, formation change, playing a Donaldson at right back....I could go on... Sorry McGlynn threw those 6 under a bus and for me and he good as admitted it. I don't agree with 5 subs at once but tbh if we went down to 10 men maybe 9 through an injury we still wouldn't have lost today. But we move on, I didn't even mention bonnyrigg...both are in a drawer to be brought up years later not now....well for me
  16. I'm still not a fan of 5 subs at once but today it worked 1000% All it takes is a bad tackle or a twist on the turf and you are down to 10 men unless it's Yeats who is the bionic man. Did you see the challenge on Henderson by the Alloa man, I think virtanen who escaped a booking for a challenge he should never have went in for, more so he used elbow to do him, I think he knew what he was doing. On a bad ref day that could've been a red, defo was a yellow for me tho like Donaldson one The Donaldson one is seen every week in every league in the world.
  17. My thots too.... One step forward one back on repeat since he was with us. Colin Macdonald type that his work rate helped him and on occasion got amongst the goals
  18. McGlynn threw 6 of them under a bus last week. 1000% We started 2nd half well then fell out of it. A sub or two should've been made then not when it was trying to make two rabbits appear from the hat. A basic 4-4-2 would've been my formation today, we pumped balls up in the box that were pointless, yes the pitch was a leveller and for me Spencer and Miller suffered most of it but we still should've had enough today.
  19. Not Bonnyrigg, we shouldn't be getting beat of them and it can be a cash cow onwards. I want to win every game, that hasn't changed in whatever league we have been in, part of me doesn't care about the challenge cup but that changes when you reach the semis. So let's win the league n cup double and wait for the Scottish cup final after that
  20. add Denny Johnstone and Ross MacLean was on loan at Morton under McKinnon
  21. It won't happen as Hamilton won't pay six-figure fees for any of the mentioned players, every footballer has a fee on their head and the fees that would turn our head will be out of Hamilton's reach. I seem to remember Yogi opening his gub about signing John Sutton from St Mirren pre us playing them when he was out of contract that season and wasnt there leaks pre Morton game that we were after half their squad for next season with Tidser being the main player mentioned. Tidser had a decent game that day too. I can see Morrison and Miller doing similar in our next game v Hamilton but neither will have Hamilton as their employer
  22. Last season he drip fed max into the team then realised he was too good not to be in the 11. He then at times had Henderson wide left, Nesbitt and even max wide left which didn't benefit the team. Week in week out we didn't know who our striker would be, burrell or the rangers boy. Oliver then had a purple patch and we were pretty regular, then January gave him more options. I said on record that the smaller squad and injuries this season has helped him be less tinker than he was last season, hopefully that continues after today. A prime example, I religiously check team line 2 pm every week, last Saturday I didn't as I knew it would be same 11, I honestly couldn't say that last season. The Scottish cup semi final last season everyone was wow that burrell started, he had too many options
  23. The latter 1000 percent Also the spine of the team, Lang n Donaldson and Henderson n Spencer would've gave us more a chance in the first half, tho a Yeats or McCann in there too I do think McGlynn still wants to prove he was right wanting Mackie as his left back. McCann was probably my mom for us, he was everywhere and doing what he does week in week out being a very good attacking full back. If I was Mackie I'd try and shape my career as a centre half onwards You take the supply away and they were always gonna struggle, only Ross for me can do what the four do that we took out, Agyeman can but it's been months since he's performed like he did early in the season and recently has been poor, today no different. Yeats put the cross in for our first goal, god knows how many crosses Morrison, miller and McCann have put in that have ended as goals. I'd resigned at the 70ish min mark that a point is the best we will come away with, not being able to use another sub after then dented our chances and that stems from starting 11. The penalty I actually thought Donaldson was walking for diving. I'm glad McGlynn pointed blame to himself in interview, previously he has pointed towards the players, worst one being kelty away. Onwards and lessons learnt that there is no easy games that we can change more than half a team
  24. Is there a love in ? I'll repeat what I said earlier, taking away width from our full backs and wide players didn't help Oliver or Allan. McCann was superb when he came on today and Yeats fired the cross in for our first goal. I'd have kept Oliver on and got Morrison on today, tho perhaps he was nursing an injury and only on the bench for a short cameo role if required. 4 changes drastic, 5 mad, 6 wild
  25. Ditto Hamiltons draw. We have went from a team that couldn't get a penalty to getting them like the ugly sisters do. I personally don't think it was a penalty and actually feared Donaldson would be sent off. You'll take the point but it's two points dropped, I hope McGlynn takes the blame tonight, yep point towards a few players no names obviously but the words I got it wrong should be coming out his mouth tonight.
