  1. I said to my mate pre game I'd take three draws but we are better than that.

The red card the biggest factor in the result yesterday. 5 or so yr ago Col might have got a yellow for the challenge so no complaints. The ref did have a bit of a mare tho...blowing for fouls that weren't and some that were stone wall yellow card ones and no yellow card followed.

Although our record v Kelty this season has been superb, they have caused problems in the games we have romped to wins. They probably can feel hard done by with just a point from the game but we are the champions for a reason.

One down two to go, I'd still take two more draws which would perhaps feel like whimpering towards unbeatables tag after what we have achieved so far, but I don't care, I just really want it

Anyone know if Col gets a one or two match ban ?

Expected a tougher game than that tbh, Hamilton really haven't got that much about them at all, not convinced they'll go up via the playoffs on that showing. All about hitting form at the right time ofcourse. Be interesting to hear what deluded pish Rankin comes out with post match.

We will be the only team going up to the championship this season

So why has it taken Falkirk with this massive fan base so long to get out of this backwater league where they so greatly out number the opposition fans on a weekly basis? 😱

Shafted by covid year one followed by poor leadership/management

The same could happen to Hamilton.

I noticed a few of the Hamilton players are quite rotund, Barjonas especially.

Au revoir Hamilton we'll meet again don't know where don't when but I know we'll meet again some sunny day 👌👌

    PS won't be next season

If Fyvie is out of contract at Cove I'd be putting a cheeky offer under his nose to consider (can only say no).  Martin would also be of interest.

McGovern had a good game v Celtic yesterday which suggests there's still life in him.  Likes Burgoyne too but not sure he'd be on McGlynns radar much and wages may be too high in any case.

Wouldnt touch Fyvie with a barge pole, League one is his level now and that's at a push if he's fit. He was injured for half a season last season in the step up to the championship and this season he's been injured a fair chunk.

He went to Cove as he knows himself his body ain't up to rigors of top-end football, he nearly quit the game due to it.

I wouldnt be surprised if Finn has interest higher up the chain than St Johnstone, he aint the finished article but his attitude and willingness to learn no matter where he has played with us has been second to none. I hope we get to see him grow but I reckon there is a reason he hasnt been signed up and its not our side halting that.

It was always going to be a challenge maintaining any sort of feel-good factor when you've just been relegated and have stuck with the same manager who oversaw that, .

We had that with McKinnon, he assembled a squad that was more than good enough to win the league and it took rookie joint managers to get the best out of the squad.

I still believe we would've went up that season either winning the league or play offs ...feckin covid

  5. I've watched the only Accies YouTube video v Alloa three times now, currently it has more views than fans at their last two home games

Loving the first Alloa goal, the anger n swearing is beautiful, the 2nd Alloa goal the Accies fans obviously have just settled into life in league one.

Just looking at the form for the Hamilton v Alloa game.

Was surprised to see that Hamilton have only won 1 of their last 5 homes games and Alloa have only lost 1 of their last 5 away games.

We win at Kelty and there is every chance the lead could be extended. However, Kelty haven't lost in their last 3 home matches, so certainly no gimme.

I'm sure I read 11 out the last 27pts is the Hamilton form of late.

They have two sticky away games Stirling and Kelty after Saturday too.

I'm just wanting it done asap, I wanna be first league winners in Scotland and England would be nice too.

I'd guess only Stennie will threaten us for Scotland

    Thoroughly deserved.

He was the one I was concerned about, it's been no secret that McGlynn wanted Mackie and I'm guessing McCann will be on a decent wage. It's been two seasons Mackie started the season and injuries have let McCann in and he's made left back his own.

    Great news 👌

After the slating the ref got earlier in this thread, he certainly done you a favour here. Red all day long.

Ref has a decent game and if that tackle is a red card, then there will be reds most weeks in every game, those challenges happen most games and we saw plenty of them at the weekend v Hamilton. They could've been down to 7 or 8 and us a player or 2  if we used your red card standard

I'd understand if Henderson just kicked his legs like a recent red down south but there was an attempt to play the ball, yep late but that is what happens when you foul.

You could argue your player could've seen red for kicking out at Mackie but no the ref again made the right decision.

Hmm ... feeling a bit like I did when I saw the starting 11 versus Edinburgh

    Let's fucking do this though.

Wasn't it 6 changes and a formation change @ Edinburgh

McGlynn defo wants Mackie in there.

Ross was probably the only one I predicted would be in, 3 changes is plenty but it's the most lacklustre Ive seen Montrose v us.

I think they'd bite yer hand for 2-0 now tbh

I would prefer Alloa myself, we have a better record against the Wasps than the Mo and it gives us a local derby because I want  Alloa to pump the mutants in the play-offs again.

Since being down here we have beat Montrose 8 times to their 4 and 3 of their wins was in the Sheerin/Rennie season where Jossy's Giants could've beat us, so those 3 don't count 😃

Montrose tho seem to do well all season and first play off game at home then burn.

At worst id love to remain unbeaten in the league at home all season

Agyeman hasn’t been as consistent as hoped since the start of the season but I don’t think I’d be looking to move him on.

I will say he has done a lot more in a Falkirk shirt so far than Ethan Ross, who some want us to offer a contract.

A league-up might suit Agyeman more with his physical attributes, he is very frustrating at times but I don't think I'd be in a hurry to get rid unless we get a massive offer from Hamilton

Mcglynn didn't seem to think it was offside anyway in his post match interview and I'd expect him to have seen  footage that would clear that up so I'm beginning to think the officials got that one right . That was about the only thing they did get right mind you.

Yeats said in hospitality after the game that it wasn't offside and as much as it looks offside on Falkirk tv with an angle that's not conclusive, I'd stick with a player and managers viewpoint.

Pretty sure McGlynn would've said questionable offside in his interview and our players in the game would've contested the decision more

  12. I reckon there will be at least one change as John hinted in the post match interview.

The backline picks itself unless there is injuries from Saturday, I'd keep Hogarth in goals as I'm not a fan of swapping on a regular basis unless they are costing us games.

Tait for Henderson seems a likely one, Ross and/or Agyeman I'd guess only other options.

Montrose can be quite physical, so Agyeman might be a thought.

It was a fair battle on Saturday both physically and mentally that I reckon we will have a couple of changes.

And John McGlynn is a diddy? He very nearly done the double promotion with Raith the last time he took them up. Probably with less resource than he’ll have at Falkirk.

This season having the 2nd best squad another plus in his managerial career.

I'd guess we are about 6/7 wins away from sealing the league, we are now at the stage where Hamilton drawing is a really a defeat for them.

  14. Disappointing to lose an offside goal, Dylan Tait hat-trick to make up for it please 😅

I thought Accies looked up for it at the very start but once we got our mojo started it was always gonna be bang bang with at least a couple of goals.

Hopefully we kill the game early 2nd half with a goal but would also take a snore 0-0 half. I do want to rub their noses in it tho
