My only slight gripe is the back but I suspect that rules these days mean we need to have a clear panel for showing the name and number rather than continuing the hoops all the way around.

Frans is a player who seems to have got better and better the longer he wasn't at the club and searching this thread confirms that pretty much. I think he'll be fine at this level and he's certainly better many of those who attempted to replace him at Thistle but he's prone to being dragged out of position or players being able to get in behind him. The fact the Dundee Utd thread isn't filled with our fans laughing like they did with Devine at Dunfermline should tell you he's thought of well enough by the support.

Other than County away at Christmas it seems fairly decent. Shame there's no Boxing Day or New Year's football as it's a decent excuse to get out the house. at that time of year I'll miss Inverness away in September. I'd cancel Albania or Israel away with Scotland though if we get an Irish or Welsh team in the Challenge Cup.

They just sold Jordan Storey. Jayden Stockley was banging them in for Exeter last season so on that basis Storey will be prolific down there if he goes. I would keep him too if we can punt the other 2 on the transfer list, I'd hate to see his replacement on less money considering Archie's record for signing strikers when we were in the Premiership.

I don't think either argument in the 2 above posts is mutually exclusive. I'd have kept Miller if we had the chance but he's just a functional solid defender who I'd be much more comfortable filling in for someone than being a regular starter in any position. I don't see him starting week in week out for any side challenging at the top.

Do the 49 games he played in the 16/17 season not count as being in the last 2 years?

Lawless would be excellent at this level as he was last time we were down here. I'd have thought he would be capable of getting a bottom 6 Premiership team.

He also has one more Scotland cap than Scott Fox which should please those in our support who love to get themselves raging shouting abuse at Fox when he returns to Firhill.

On the basis Craig Samson was capable at this level it could be a decent signing but I've always been under the impression Bell was pretty meh since leaving Kilmarnock the first time.
