Heading to New York for a week on Thursday. First time going. Only just discovered this thread so now trawling through it for tips. Have made a rough plan of the most common touristy things to do. Also, really looking forward to going to New York City vs LA Galaxy (at Yankee Stadium) and the Star Wars Costumes Exhibit, at Discovery Times Square. Not looking forward to the heat/humidity though...

Going on holiday to New York on Thursday and got tickets for New York City against LA Galaxy at Yankee Stadium this Saturday. All past their best but Pirlo, Lampard, Gerrard & David Villa in one game… Absolutely buzzing for it

Ferguson isn't even in the dugout. Think that says it all. Our under 20s are awful though.

I wasn’t very impressed by Celtic U20’s in our friendly with them. We drew 2-2 but should really have beat them. I think we were further into our preseason than they were at that point but now, Annan have had some competitive games where I assume the U20’s haven’t yet. It will also depend on how seriously Annan take the game. Not very helpful but basically, not one I’d be rushing to put a bet on either way.

I've gone for Celtic to win 2-1 at 13.0 and Roberts to score first at 10.5.

Seen both Disturbed and A7X a few years back (and Disturbed at Download again this year). I don’t think I’ll bother with this gig as I don’t listen to either much anymore though, I may change my mind closer to the time. Still with this gig, and the Alter Bridge/Volbeat tour, it’s nice to see some decent bands playing together. The states constantly has good bands touring together while we usually have to put up with a main band with some god awful support acts.

For tonight, going for Aberdeen, Hearts to win and Hibs to lose at 4.04. Though unlikely Hibs at 7.5 seems good value, and I’ll probably throw away another quid on 3-1 to Hibs at 111. They were pretty poor last week but, 10.0 seems very generous for Birkirkara to beat Hearts. (McBookie odds as I have money in that account so haven’t looked around).

I find Eevee a strange one for 10km eggs as at home apart from Rattatas/Pidgeys/Weedles, Eevee is the next most common Pokemon I get so, I've already got all of its evolved forms. Got a Magmar from my first 10k egg today and my first Charmander from a 2k egg. Add in my first Doduo and Exeggcute and it's been a great day

I thought Higgins had a good game against Kilmarnock. He’s our striker most capable of bringing Easton and Flynn into the game. Last night absolutely nothing he tried worked but I still couldn’t understand taking him off at half time instead of MacDonald, who was shattered 5 minutes into the second half. I would like to see Watson given more of a chance but you can tell Ferguson is worried about a lack of height up front. We probably need to wait until MacDonald is fit (which he clearly isn’t just now) before we know the best partnership

Based on some brief appearances at the end of friendlies, no, he's not good enough for League Two. However, you can't really judge people from a few minutes in friendly games, he's only 17 and our squad is too small as it is so, I'll reserve judgement for now.

I agree with haufdaft we should be at least a little wary due to previous good cup displays. However, we did very play well with the ball yesterday. I wouldn't single out Gibson though. I thought defensively we were very poor though, especially from crosses. The number of free headers Kilmarnock had (or could have had with better strikers) was quite scary. For a game we should have won, we easily could have conceded at least 4 goals. I'm also not convinced by the shape Ferguson is going for yet. It will take a good manager 5 minutes to see that the huge gaps either side of Scott McLaughlin. If the opposition play 2 or 3 players in between midfield and defence we will seriously struggle to cope.

I just found out, if your pokeball misses the pokemon you can click on it as it rolls away and you'll pick it back up again. Doesn't work for when you hit the pokemon but they escape.

Whilst I agree the challenge cup is a shambles now, we should still be looking to win any game we play, particularly against an under 20s team. We don't have a game the Saturday before it, so the players will have a full week in the the run up to the game. Might as well use it properly for more game time and sharpness before the league starts the weekend after.

I evolved my Eevee today which became a Flareon. It seems to just choose randomly which form you get. I don't mind this, as it means I didn't have to pick between them, but will be disappointed if I evolve another Eevee and get the same result.

Having started on Sunday, I stopped by a gym this morning just to see how it works, as much as anything. It took me all six pokemon to defeat one Hypno. More work needed I think.
