  1. Skybet obviously regretting their pricing with a 50% profit on offer before the match has even started
  2. The Peterhead preview that was on the official site earlier seems to have been taken down. Hopefully it's not just minor issue and a sign there's actual news to come. Won't get my hopes up though.
  3. Unbelievably Skybet have Peterhead at 3.60 to win on Saturday. Can't believe we're even favourites let alone Peterhead being such long odds to win.
  4. After Saturday's game against Bonnyrigg I was angry and frustrated. It's only been one more match but, as with many others, I can't even work up the energy for that now, it's just too depressing. We're now in a position where we need to sack Duffy, McLean, half the playing squad and then bring in replacements. And that's before we discuss changes in the boardroom. Even with more investment, we can't come close to affording that. As a couple of people mentioned, it is now genuinely embarrassing to be a Clyde fan. I never previously minded the wee jokes by colleagues about not recognising football because I watch Clyde but, for the last couple of years, I genuinely just pray no one asks me how we got on and the weekend. For the first time in my life I don't want to talk about Clyde, the club is just shameful.
  5. I've always thought having central midfielders was overrated....
  6. Some miss by Kerr but Australia's defence has been terrible all day.
  7. Bonnyrigg 1-1 Stranraer Clyde 0-2 Peterhead Dumbarton 2-1 Forfar East Fife 1-1 Stenhousemuir Spartans 2-1 Elgin
  8. Servette are worse than Clyde at corners FFS. Didn't think that was even possible.
  9. The absolute minimum that should happen is Gordon Thomson stepping back from Chairman to just a standard director role. It's fair to assume he must do some good (though I couldn't personally tell you how) and has been involved in different positions at the club for a long time so has experience at least, but the clubs direction, communication and major decision-making has been utterly dreadful under his leadership. A new but strong-minded Chairman coming in with fresh ideas but still with the experience of Thomson and the current board around him is the least that should happen. Whilst I understand the line of "don't kick out the board unless you can suggest replacements" the issue is that most people don't actually know what skills are required to be Chairman of a football club. I've been a member of the club for years but, partly due to the poor communication, I couldn't actually tell you all the difficulties the board face or the shortcomings in their skillsets. Occasionally, you'll get a generic comment that if you feel you have skills that could benefit the club you should get in touch. But they never give any hint as to what kind of skills these are. And, of course, just because I couldn't tell you exactly what a attributes a replacement Chairperson should have, doesn't mean I cant clearly see the current set up is not working in many ways so the status quo cannot simply be allowed to remain.
  10. That was painful watching. I lost count of how many times I said 'For f**k's sake' today. Cuddihy and Donachie are the only players who can feel reasonably okay with their performance today. Craig tried hard to little effect and Carswell seemed okay positionaly for a while but was clearly nowhere near fit. Ross Forbes was a fucking embarrassment. Ewan Cameron reminded people why he should never have been re-signed. Parry should have retired at least 2 years ago. And pretty much all the rest ranged from embarrassing to just simply not good enough to play professional football at any level.
  11. Duffy has to go. McLean has to go. Thomson has to resign immediately. He appointed a failed manager as Director of Football when everyone in Scottish football knew Duffy can't sign up a good squad to save himself. They then appointed a Head Coach who is tactically inept and seems to think he's not allowed to speak to his players during a match. And we now have a squad of boys who are nowhere near the required standard, running around in a red home top in fucking Hamilton. All under the "stewardship" of Gordon Thomson. It's actually embarrassing he hasn't resigned already. Although, knowing our board, the rest of them would reject his resignation and beg him to stay on.
  12. Clyde 1-1 Bonnyrigg Dumbarton 2-2 Spartans Forfar 3-0 Elgin Peterhead 2-1 Stenhousemuir Stranraer 1-2 East Fife
  13. I don't think there was quite enough in that for a penalty to be given in the first place but once the referee has given it there's definitely not enough for VAR to overturn that.
  14. Bonnyrigg 1-2 Dumbarton East Fife 3-0 Peterhead Elgin 1-1 Stranraer Stenhousemuir 1-2 Forfar Spartans 3-1 Clyde
  15. 1. Stenhousemuir 2. Forfar 3. East Fife 4. Spartans 5. Dumbarton 6. Stranraer 7. Peterhead 8. Bonnyrigg 9. Clyde 10. Elgin
  16. What a pish free kick to score. Makes a difference though.
  17. I expected Brechin to be better than they were and yet they were still comfortable winners in the end. Even if we manage to sort out the defence, there's absolutely nothing in that team that will win us a match. We dominated possession for the first 35 minutes of the match but were absolutely clueless about what to do with the ball. Scullion and Cuddihy as the two in front of a defence will never work because they're both incapable of taking the ball off a centreback in tight spaces. Forbes was ineffective with the ball bit at least gave them am option once he was moved to the centre. I'm hoping McCulloch is just having a rocky start but right now he's a downgrade on Ross Lyon which is saying something. Jon Craig's form dipped towards the end of last season and he's started this season worse. That's a real sign of some great coaching going on... I emailed the board to express my disgust with them when they reappointed Duffy & McLean and actually slightly regretted it later thinking I might have been harsh. In hindsight, I wasn't harsh enough. Not that I got a response anyway. Keeping a failed manager who's never been good at signing players as Director of Football, appointing a failed captain/coach as Head Coach, and then resigning a bunch of players who got us relegated is beyond unforgiveable. And not forgetting that the Gordon Thomson told us there's no issues with communication. It's hard to say accurately when you don't know all the ins and outs but, from the outside, Thomson could easily be the worst Chariman the club has had in my 30 years supporting Clyde.
