  1. All will be fully explained at the meeting on Tuesday night. Your post mentioned the committee feeling of around a month ago. That was the time when not a lot of solid official information was available for clubs and everyone was working on hearsay. A lot has happened in that time, including concerned supporters contacting the club. I THINK YOU SHOULD QUESTION THE SFA /SPFL FOR THE LACK OF TRANSPARENCY . I don't think the current regime wanted to rush into making rash decisions or statements until more information was available. More and more clubs are now making their intentions known on a daily basis and I wouldn't be surprised if a statement wasn't far away.
  2. I think a lot of supporters have since been in touch and made their feelings known. I believe they are all against the idea and will be voting NO.
  3. Why don't you come along to the supporters meeting on Tuesday to voice your opinions face to face with the manager
  4. Oh please. Is this what these forums have come to ?
  5. Please tell me what money Brechin are spending . Or are you just making shit up again ?
  6. That last sentence sums up Scottish football and why the first sentence will never see the light of day.
  7. I would be happy even with one automatic relegation spot . The HL/LL play off winner going up and 2nd bottom of L2 playing the losers of the play off. But the larger league2 is the logical way to go . That would possibly allow more L2 clubs to field younger players without the cut throat environment of a 10 team league looming over them . Playing clubs only twice a season is also a great thing for avoiding the mundane familiarity that L2 currently offers.
  8. I think I posted something similar to cold feet somewhere too a while back , but on reflection your reply is spot on.
  9. I have always maintained that I would boycott any matches involving the colts . I am sure many others will be the same. The colts parent clubs have , I assume taken this into account and will continue with their compensation match ticket payments . Throwing money at it just highlights the ridiculously flawed concept they are creating. As you say our hospitality could take a big hit too. I hope our club think long and hard at the possible harm this could do to our community after all the hard work of the last 2 years to get them back on side.
  10. This happened back in the 50's or 60's with the old C league as well. Possibly one of the reasons the conference C league was scrapped and a new system constructed. It didn't work back then so why do they think it will suddenly work now ?
  11. 1900 at the Brechin - Spartans game at glebe the other week with around 250 spartans fans there . For a big game like that I maybe would have expected more from Edinburgh.
  12. The most ludicrous thing about this whole proposition is the fact that the SFA/ SPFL/ Celtgers (or whoever dreamed up this abortion ) have only presumed that there is a demand from Premier clubs to have their colt sides included in a conference league.................It appears that none of the clubs they hoped would join the two cheeks have actually been contacted going by the reaction from Aberdeen. The whole thing is a massive shitfest.
  13. It's good to dwell on the positives surely ?
  14. Since our decline we have improved massively season on season. There is real momentum within the club and everyone seems to be pulling in the right direction. Crowds are up, hospitality is busier than ever and the community seems to be supporting the longer term plans of the club . Another season in the HL isn't the disaster some are making out. Sure losing that play off was a real downer but I'm sure we can build on that and come back stronger than ever next season. I was told we have 11 signed already which is a real positive . We do need some fresh faces and possibly some experience but I'm sure Andy and Craig are on the case as we speak. Basically the club is much more attractive for players to come . There is a clear vision of the direction we are going under the new regime. The future looks a whole lot brighter than it did a couple of years ago that's for sure.
  15. You might not be too far off the mark there.
  16. I can't disagree with anything you have said. . Scottish football will never thrive when no one in authority is willing to openly listen to , debate or act on any other opinion than their own.
  17. Yes we were huckled out through total mismanagement. Thankfully we are in a much better place now to make a real go at returning despite the attempts from the corrupt section to put another barrier in the way to huckle the colts even closer to the spfl.
  18. Considering the complete rebuild in the playing squad and the structure of the club itself when we went down , I think to be where we are in the space of two years is nothing short of miraculous. The planning doesn't stop here though. So many positives to build on for next season and beyond.
  19. And yet here you are obsessing over us.
  20. Seemingly it is to ensure that the home team in the second leg doesn't gain any advantage of an extra half hour which seems fairly rational. That's the way this crazy Scottish pyramid system works. The league 2 play off is loaded very much in favour of club 42 ..............much the same as the premier league play off is loaded in favour of the premier team.
