  1. Yeah, I wondered if he's just being a primadona and thinking he's too good for the U19s. There's no mention of him saying he doesn't want to play for Scotland at all, just that he thinks this Chelsea youth tourney is more worthwhile that the U19s. Still confirms that he is a bit of an arse though.
  2. Grrr. Bet he starts next season in the Chelsea first team now and scores like f*ck. Okay, maybe not...
  3. Isak Ssewankambo comes a close second.
  4. Thanks for the article - not surprising really. So why don't they give the guy a chance to develop elsewhere? A loan would suit all parties best would it not?
  5. Pretty sure he didn't have anything like 100 mill to chuck at Porto, but still raked in the uefa and European cups. At inter, his squad was primarily 30+ iirc, but he brought in as much as he spent, cash-wise (sold ibrahimovic for 40 mill PLUS Eto'o - that was a very tidy piece of business).
  6. Would be good to see him on loan at Aberdeen or Dundee Utd for next season
  7. Was just thinking that. I wonder who else Chelsea have that might come in before Feruz though (I imagine they have a fair few prospects in that position)? Would be great even to see him listed on the bench for a game this season, because at the moment, it's really hard to judge where he's at (on a scale of one of many half-decent youth forwards -> a genuine prospect).
  8. He was approaching 16 but then hit a slump and declined back to 14.... Sorry, I'm bored
  9. Interesting to see that the BBC EPL 'transfer watch' page lists Gauld as a potential signing for Man U and Liverpool: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25488699 I wondered if the Scottish press were just hyping up the rumours based on a few scouts taking in games.
  10. Who's the total roaster by his side? Is it Sammy Lee or something?
  11. I remember when this board used to be good.
  12. I'm pretty certain that he'll be hit by a sharknado.
  13. Nice bit of footy chat. Hopefully the 'Tartan Owl' will blaze a trail into La Liga
  14. Have to agree having seen the highlights from the Thistle game at the weekend. I know it was 'only Partick Thistle', but he was immense. Intelligence, awareness, deft weighting of his passes, sharpness of thought. Very hard not to get carried away. One of the guys on SS tonight was saying 'let's home he's not another £1.5m Bolton reserve or someone who disappears off to Rotherham or some other English lower league backwater and is never heard of again.' Couldn't agree more. Hope he stays at Dundee Utd and ideally wins something with them (maybe even the league - as unlikely as that seems now) then an £84.9m* transfer to Real Madrid, that'd do nicely. *Not £85m, or Ronaldo will sulk
  15. True re the OF. Outside the old firm, who has there been in recentish times? O'Connor, Riordan, McFadden, goodwillie...who else?
  16. I doubt he'll be elevated to the full squad now tho. Leave him in the U21s for this round of intl games and see how he fares. Perhaps consider him for the February friendly/ies if he's still ripping the SPFL(P) new ones then?
  17. Really hope so. My heart says yes - get him in the squad now. But then so many folk were leaping around with semis when John Fleck broke into the Rangers first team, and his career went south swiftly. I agree than Gaud appears to be a stronger prospect than fleck though, and reports suggest he is more level-headed.
  18. Good news. Hadn't heard of him, but good to know there's another prospect on the cusp of epl footy. I noticed Jordan Archer was on spurs' bench the other night in the Europa - more good news

  20. 5 feet 10 inches isn't towering, but it's hardly short-arse material either. One of his distinguishing features is that he's bull-shouldered and very strong on the ball, that's what the poster who called him 'big Stevie May' was meaning* and you know it. *unless, maybe, the poster has come sordid personal relationship with the player?
  21. Well he's not the tallest but he's built like a tank these days
  22. Ah, yes - this article sums up his position nicely. Hope the reported interest is true http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/8815105/chelsea-looking-to-tie-down-islam-feruz-to-a-new-deal-at-stamford-bridge
  23. Speaking of Feruz - anyone know how near or far he is from getting into the first team squad?
  24. Well some gimps on here claimed he should never play for Scotland u21s again cos he was in the team that got thrashed off England?!? Early days yet, but he looks like a prospect - seems to have a good attitude to the game and can bully defenders. Might be worth having him in the squad for the Nov friendlies, even just so Strachan can get a closer look at him.
