  1. NZ were 116-5 at the close, leading by 94 runs. The Aussies certainly made the most of the Lyon not out decision, fair play to Starc for coming in and having a bash with a broken foot, that 24 could make a huge difference in the outcome of the match, Impressed by Peter Neville again, he's been excellent since he came into the side during the Ashes.
  2. Agree that it took far too long, but although there was nothing on snicko there was a clear white spot on the bat on all three angles on hot spot. Even Lyon was halfway back to the pavilion after he saw the first replays. Potentially a gamechanging decision.
  3. Yep, 202 looks like a decent score all of a sudden!
  4. My bad, wrong info from a tweet I saw through the night.
  5. Big change in the county championship next season as the visiting captain will be given the option of batting first. If he declines then the coin toss will take place as normal.

    The Chase

Especially when the guy on seat 4 was woeful, contributed just 2k to the pot, then only helped out with one answer to push the beast back 1 thst by that stage they didn't even need.
  7. Don't really see the point of the film if it's not based on the book, I thought the book was hilarious too and it will take some effort to come up with anything better imo. Just finished Trigger Mortis by Anthony Horowitz. A decent addition to the James Bond books and it would fit into the original series as a sequel to Goldfinger.
  8. A good read, if perhaps a little insensitive in the timing. http://m.independent.ie/sport/rugby/neil-francis-on-jonah-lomu-a-life-lost-needlessly-34222682.html
  9. And lost in the NFC Championship game the following year, but it's all Kap's fault. Don't get me wrong, I don't believe that he was as good as a lot of the hype around him, but he's being made the fall guy after the whole organisation ballsed up both the quality on the roster and the head coach appointment.
  10. In bed and can't remember if I set the heating to come on in the morning and can't be bothered going back downstairs to check.
  11. This. And RGIII didn't help himself by not realising that you can slide feet first and not get hit every time you run with the ball.
  12. And then wins with an 11darter against the throw to take the title. Very high quality match.
  13. MVG takes out 129 to square it at 10-10!
  14. What a start to the final, MVG raced into a 4-0 lead but Wright was brilliant to bring it back to 4-4.
  15. Wright beats Taylor 11-9!
  16. Djokovic wins 6-3, 6-4. Good result for Murray.
  17. Djokovic took the first set 6-3, and wins the first game of the second set too.
  18. There's Something About Mary Still my favourite Farrelly brothers film, still as funny now as it was when I first saw it in the cinema years ago. It has some brilliantly funny scenes in it, and if you like comedies but haven't seen it then I would heartily recommend that you should. 9/10
  19. There has been a lot of things that Kaepernick did well in his earlier days, but he has definitely gone backwards this season and last. It hasn't all been down to him, the o-line has gotten progressively worse, and there has been some downright criminal play calling at times. The underuse of Vernon Davis last season was truly baffling, while his refusal to run with the ball this season hasn't helped either, there have been many times that he has had space to move into but has turned down the chance. The flip side is that he has made some errors that even rookies would get stick for, like the play in the link where he fails to read that the Rams have over committed to the run, and that as a result Torrey Smith is wide open and would have one safety to beat to score a TD. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/0ap3000000570028/49ers-Colin-Kaepernick-doesn-t-see-open-receiver
  20. Yep, never at any point has there been a hint that he had a medical problem of any kind. Will be the end of his season and probably his 49ers career.
  21. With no mention of what the actual injury is. Bizarre. Edit: the 49ers website doesn't mention the injury, but it appears he asked to have surgery on his non throwing shoulder which he seemingly hurt in week 4.
  22. My mistake, I'd assumed it was deliberate that 2 played 3 as it seemed to be happening every year! Hopefully he can still be second seed then, 2 singles wins next week are a must for Murray anyway just from the Davis Cup point of view, does his ranking no harm too.
