Think you should check your facts before you post something like that. How are we in form? We have only won 3 of our last 6 games. 3 of the 5 games we have left to play are against teams we have already failed to beat this season. We have a good chance to win the league IF (and it’s a big IF) we win our 5 remaining games. But as usual we will take each game as it comes and give our opponents the respect they deserve and every game is a cup final for us if we want to retain the league.
-
Every team is capable of beating any team in the league, even if we are “better” than the teams we have left to play does not mean we will win those games. We should have beat glenafton last Wednesday but we didn’t. Largs are the form team in the league at the moment winning their last 5 or 6 games. We could only draw with St Caddocs earlier in the season. I’m not playing anything down, but showing the teams we have to play the respect they deserve.
-
Your total disrespect for the other teams in the league is astounding, we have to play the team currently sitting in 3rd and the team sitting in 5th away from home. Talbot have proved that they can go on a long run of winning games so I would not count them out.

Hurlford 1 Beith 2. Dunne and Docherty withe the Beith goals. Tough game today against a Hurlford side that seemed content to sit and waste as much time as possible (until they went 2-1 down). Deserved win for Beith and it should have been more. As for the league it’s far from over and we have another tough game Wednesday night against st caddocs which is no gimme they are well capable of beating us. pics from todays game https://www.flickr.com/gp/swkphoto/uwdxv82DXU

Beith 2 Benburb 0. Frize and O’Neil with the Beith goals. In a game that was totally spoiled by the wind Beith did enough to get the three points today. Pics by clicking the link https://www.flickr.com/gp/swkphoto/ZDA09737EL

Beith 4 Arthurlie 2 Duver (3) Wilson. Thought we lost shape when Danny O’Neil had to go off as we were really comfortable at that point. Like a few games today wind spoiled it making it a game where when Beith had the wind at our backs we took full advantage to go in 3-0 up. 4th goal just after half time killed the game as a contest. 66 point was the total last year.

As it stands just now we would need 8 wins from 9 games to win league. That just ain’t going to happen when you consider we still have the two teams that won tonight (glens home and away, Largs away ) it is nonsense to say it’s our league to lose there is a ton of football to be played and when you consider we are very inconsistent at the moment….are we favourites probably, but it certainly isn’t our league to lose.

Maybole 0 Beith 2 Ciaran diver and Alan docherty with the goals. Nit the greatest performance form beith but doing enough to get through pics from the game https://www.flickr.com/gp/swkphoto/y3zKjv73G9

Rob Roy 0 Beith 3. Scot Rough, Ciaran Diver and Carlo Monti with the goals. Tough game up there today the Rabs played some nice stuff but without a real cutting edge. Beith looked dangerous with every attack especially in first half. Sat in a bit in the second half and tried to hit the Rabs on the break. Far side linesman needs to re-read the law pertaining to offside as he did not get one right all game pics from the game by clicking the link below. https://www.flickr.com/gp/swkphoto/P572x42pe0

That’s just incredible, history has taught us points on the board are worth more than games in hand, was exactly the same last season we were in front and teams had to catch up games,(when it was our title to lose apparently) that’s a big reason why we won the league last year. I would far rather be in Bankies position than ours. -

As far as fixtures go we had two home ties cancelled due to weather on the 23rd and 30th of December and due to advancing in few cups there were games cancelled to accommodate them. It’s weird as last season when we were this far in front it was our title to lose and teams could still overtake us if they won there games in hand.

I find it amazing that you can’t come on this forum to give an honest opinion without someone seeing an ulterior motive in their comments, my comments are based on what I have seen so for this season and the results so far. Can Beith win the league? Of course they can but at the moment we are second favourites to do so.
-
Just as well I’m not trying to sell anything. If you think back to last year Beith built up a lead and managed to play most of their games avoiding midweek games, Clydebank are in the same position this season. I would rather be in their position at the top with points in the bag waiting for teams to catch up games
-
With results today bankies clear favourites now, points on the board will make it very hard for any team to challenge now. 8 points clear means pressure is on us and with a depleted squad it will be very hard for Beith to catch up now.
