It sounds like we are putting out a similar state of a squad as we did against Airdrie - touching on miracle stuff to get anything tomorrow with that side.
Arbroath managing a wee draw would be lovely!

He's been turned from the main creative force/roaming in a free role at Villa to a cog in a machine at City. Unless you're Lionel Messi you have a role in his system and you do it. Nothing more.
Yeah - it is easy to forget but he was a player that was good to watch at Villa. He just isn’t now!
It can’t be as enjoyable to play in either, but ultimately if you are winning tons of trophies…

Time for Malky Mackay to come back into things then. He'll go the u21s and Gemmill back to the u19s.
I was coming on to post exactly this

Rudden only on loan and double the amount of league goals as Jack Hamilton. Vaughan not really a striker so on the face of it, it would be an upgrade on what they have.
Based on this season, I guess you could argue that.
I would still have Hamilton as a more effective player than Dowds at this level though. He hasn’t quite provided what everyone thought he would for Raith, very in and out.

Yes, definitely. Similar with Jacob Brown - really noticed that no-one on here is pushing him forward and so the chat can get very one sided. I like it with Che Adams because he is really only in on merit - there's just no favouritism, nothing like that - so you get a good clear picture.
The whole England thing probably is a negative bias from some Scottish fans who won't ever take to him. I haven't seen it much lately although it wouldn't surprise me if some pro Shankland fans were really anti Adams and all that crap. Lets not be kidded though, it's definitely still here somewhere.
Yeah, there are lots of agendas at play with the national team and that’s difficult - I guess we all have a bit of favouritism in us but I know that I try to avoid doing it.
Jacob Brown probably gets a bit of a raw deal, partially in terms of your point a lot of that because of the Norway game which is harsh. He did look good against France, which made his start against Norway all the more disappointing. If he is fit before the end of the season I’ll need to make the effort to watch some Luton games - from what I have seen he does play wider for them though.
Adams (and Dykes at times tbf) are the type of striker that are easily written off as people tend to forget the nice bits of link up etc etc.

One of the things I like about Adams is that he has no affiliation with any teams up in Scotland other than the National team. It means the views on him are much fairer, no-one's really in his camp as there aren't any Southampton fans on here to my knowledge so there's little to no self interest.
In some ways he probably suffers in terms of this too though.
I thought he played well today, some lovely bits of play and Southampton were good to watch - Fraser and Armstrong were good too. I did miss the first twenty minutes or so.

Raith fancying him if they don’t go up.
He wouldn’t be going there as a starter, so that would be a strange one all round.

A lot of conjecture there... you don't know. Rehab could be NHS, private, with the parent club or a handful of other things. The facts remain, nobody in the country needs to disclose their medical information, regardless of profession, to the public.
As I've said, I fully understand the frustration caused to us ALL by the Stazi style blackout, but that's just how it is.
And absolutely all of those things would be part of their work as a footballer.
You are being very strange about this tbh.

I’m really not sure a footballer getting injured, is the same as someone being off sick from their work.
They would still actually be in work as they would be doing rehab anyway.

Fingers crossed.
Playing reasonably well just now, away to Forfar this week, I think Peterhead will hold on for 2nd place.

Thanks - I had noticed an upturn since Durnan returned but didn’t know about the other two, I’ll check the team lines closely from now on!
I’ll possibly try and get to a game before the end of the season if it’s tight! Shame the last game is away to Peterhead.

After I was fuming at you guys as you looked completely gone after the hounding from Stranraer, you seem to have turned it around a bit.
How are you looking to finish top three? And bring in my league winners each way treble.

Was thinking about the fact we don't have any proper wingers and that could maybe be addressed with the increased squad size in case we need to change shape (fairly likely that we'll need to chase a late goal at some point in the tournament)
Who would be most likely to come into the fold?
If Doak had played I'd have liked to see him in the squad.
Ryan Fraser and James Forrest have lots of experience but both past their best. Genuinely can't think of any others that have been involved before or close to a call up
I don’t think Ryan Fraser is anywhere close to James Forrest in terms of being past his best, seems to be having a pretty decent season and has done well as an impact sub at times too - the role we would most likely be using him as..
I would have him in the squad regardless of the size tbh, just as he offers something different. Also offers you an option at RWB if Patterson is struggling.

I think it all depends who Livingston hold on to - Holt and Kelly would be excellent players at this level.
They've lost Penrice, and I’m sure they are losing Anderson too.
We know the likes of Bradley, Carson and Obileye are decent players at this level too.

People thinking Haaland was a better option than Kane
I mean if Man City signed Kane, they would likely be about fourth by now.

The subject of the post was Scott Brown, do try and pay attention!
I imagine he might have been talking about the “hammer throwers” part of your post.
What was that about paying attention…

Thought Michael Stewart was out of order on commentary after that McMaster challenge. Definite red card and Scott Brown had every right to be angry about the tackle and the referee’s decision, but Stewart as an impartial commentator spending the last 10 minutes of the match repeatedly calling a young laddie a coward left a bad taste in my mouth.
It was literally the definition of an utter shitebags tackle.

Number of reds is irrelevant, his style of play was.
We don't tend to play well against hammer throwers, like Ayr and Morton.

Sorry?? You were undone by, especially in the first half, having United camped in your half.
If you want to talk about "cheating" Brown took about 5 yards minimum every throw (moved.forward 2.complete advertising hoardings on one), Connelly was too close by about 2 yards at every United corner towards the end. Your players were obviously under instruction to go down to rattle & frustrate United, thankfully today it didn't work.
We can then add in the constant, no attempts to play the ball, jumping into players (Vaughan on Thomson for example).
By all means support your team and complain at decisions that you may not agree with, but you will not go to ANY football match and see either team not use "dark arts" to try and get an advantage so try not to be too myopic.
I will agree that the referee was atrocious over officious, and seemed to take some truly bizarre decisions with drop balls etc. but just another incompetent from SFA.
Do you commentate for DUTV?

I'd put money on us finishing clear of 9th place. ICT would have been better sticking with Dodds imo. The " super Big Dunc" affect is well and truly dead on its arse
Why are you starting this again…

Four more points should do it now you would think…

Yeah, one is far worse but the other is appalling too.
ETA - a controversial Raith penalty please for the seethe.

That commentator is driving me fucking mental - one of the worst I’ve ever heard
I have Dundee United on to win the league and he is making me want them to lose.

The DUTV commentators are awful to listen to - so so biased.

McBurnie has five goals and three assists, in twelve starts and six substitute appearances this season which is pretty fucking good.
It’s just that any time you watch him play, he just looks catastrophically shite.
